هذا الكتاب
أطلق الدكتور محمد حبش في سورية مركز الدراسات الإسلامية منذ 2001 وهو يتبنى مشروعاً فكرياً شجاعاً يدعو إلى مذهب إنساني في الإسلام، ويتبنى خطاب إخاء الأديان وكرامة الإنسان، ويدعو إلى مراجعات عميقة في الدين والتاريخ، لتركيز القيم الإنسانية العليا في الحرية والعدالة والمساواة، وأعلن موقفاً إيجابياً واضحاً من التراث الإسلامي، تحت عنوان نور يهدي وليس قيداً يأسر.
وقد عمل هذا المركز في سوريا نحو عشر سنين وأدى رسالة واضحة في عدد من الهيئات والمؤسسات الأكاديمية والحوارية في أوروبا وأمريكا، واستقبل عشرات الوفود العلمية والسياحية الراغبة بالتعرف إلى الإسلام والمجتمعات الإسلامية.
ويقدر عدد الوفود التي زارت المركز بنحو 176 وفداً وأنجز تعاوناً إيجابياً على مستويات مختلفة مع عدد من الجامعات الأوروبية من أبرزها: جامعة كرايوفا الرومانية، وهلسنكي في فنلندا، وجامعة أوسلو، وجامعة بيرغن في النرويج، وجامعة روستوك وشتوتغارد في ألمانيا، وليوبولد سكرون في النمسا، وجامعة استوكهولم ولوند وفاكسهو في السويد، وقد قام الدكتور حبش بزيارة هذه الجامعات وتحدث فيها عن رسالته في إخاء الأديان وكرامة الإنسان، تحت شعار دين بين الأديان وليس ديناً فوق الأديان.
كما أنجز المركز سلسلة حوارات مهمة مع عدد من الهيئات الدينية المسيحية في العالم ومن أبرزها الفاتيكان وهيئة الحوار في سانت أجيدو وقد توجت هذه الحوارات بلقاء مهم مع البابا فرنسيس الثاني في روما والكنيسة الأرثوذكسية الرومانية والكنيسة المشيخية في الولايات المتحدة والكنيسة البروتستانتية الأنغليكانية في بريطانيا إضافة إلى عشرات الكنائس الأخرى المحلية والدولية.
وفي عام 2011 ومع قيام الثورة السورية أُغلق المركز وانتقل الدكتور حبش إلى أبو ظبي حيث يعمل في جامعة أبو ظبي أستاذ الدراسات الإسلامية في كلية القانون، كما استأنف نشاط مركز الدراسات الإسلامية في المنفى.
وفي هذه الصفحات تجد دراسات مختلفة قدَّمها مفكرون وعلماء وسياسيون أشاروا فيها إلى رسالة الدكتور حبش في إخاء الأديان وكرامة الإنسان ، وجهوده في دعم المذهب الإنساني في الإسلام، وهي صفحات منشورة على الإنترنت ويمكن الوصول إليها ببساطة من مصادرها الأصلية.
كما تتناول دراسات عدِّة في هذا الكتاب شرح جهود الدكتور حبش السياسية لوقف الحرب والدعوة لمصالحة وطنية توقف العنف في سورية وذلك من خلال عمله في البرلمان السوري ودوره القيادي في تأسيس الطريق الثالث الرافض للعنف بكل صوره.
والهدف من نشر هذا الكتاب هو تأكيد اهتمام العالم بالمشروع الإنساني لإخاء الأديان وكرامة الإنسان الذي يطرحه الدكتور حبش من منطق إسلامي يعتمد الأصول الإسلامية التاريخية في الاستنباط والاجتهاد، ومن ثمَّ توفير مزيد من الأمل للإخاء الإنساني في الأرض.

Dr. Muhammad Habash has launched the Islamic Studies Center in Syria since 2001 and has adopted a courageous intellectual project that calls for a humanistic doctrine in Islam and adopts the title: Brotherhood of religions and human dignity, and calls for profound revisions in religion and history, to focus the higher human values in freedom, justice and equality, to declare a positive and clear stance with Islamic and other religions values under the title: It was a light to see... Not a restriction that captures.
This center has worked in Syria for about ten years and has delivered a clear message to a number of academic and dialogue bodies and institutions in Europe and America, and has received dozens of scientific and tourist delegations wishing to learn about Islam and Islamic societies.
It is estimated that 176 delegations visited the center and achieved positive cooperation at different levels with a number of European universities, most notably the Romanian University of Craiova, Helsinki University in Finland, the University of Oslo, the University of Bergen in Norway, the University of Rostock and Stuttgart in Germany, Leopold Skron in Austria, the University of Stockholm, and the Lund university in Sweden.

The Center also completed a series of important dialogues with a number of Christian religious organizations in the world, most notably the Vatican and the Dialogue Commission in Sant Egidio,
These dialogues culminated in an important meeting with Pope Francis II in Rome, Roman Orthodox Church and the Presbyterian Church in the United States, and Anglican Protestant Church in Britain, in addition to dozens of Other local and international churches
In 2011, with the outbreak of the Syrian revolution, the center was closed and Dr. Habash moved to Abu Dhabi, where he works at Abu Dhabi University, as a professor of Islamic studies in the College of Law, and the activity of Islamic Studies Center in exile resumed.
In these pages, you will find various studies presented by thinkers, scholars and politicians in which they referred to Dr. Habash's message about the brotherhood of religions and human dignity, and his efforts in support of the humanistic doctrine in Islam, which are pages published on the Internet and can be accessed simply from their original sources.
Several studies in this book also deal with explaining Dr. Habash's political efforts to stop the violence in Syria and call for national reconciliation, through his work in the Syrian Parliament and his leadership role in establishing the Third Way that rejects violence in all its forms.

Craiova University honors Dr. Mohammad Habash
In 2009, University of Craiova, one of the most ancient and important Romanian university, held a scientific meeting with its entire scientific department to review Dr.Mohammad Habash's efforts towards achieving human dignity and the brotherhood of religions, and his clear approach of establishing human brotherhood based on religious values. After reviewing Dr.Mohammad Habash's books and giving a report about his efforts in spreading the message of love, the entire council decided to award him the rank of honorary doctorate, which is an award that the university has the right to grant only once every two years.
Dr.Mohammad Habash was honored in the ancient blue hall of the University of Craiova in Romania, where all the teaching and scientific cadres were invited. The University have translated Dr.Habash's book (Biography of Prophet Mohammad) and have considered it as a textbook for students of theology at this ancient university.
