    Pattern Notes

Wall hanging is worked in single crochet from the bottom of the hanging up. The odd-numbered rows are always the right-side facing rows. Even-numbered rows are the wrong-side facing rows.

Each square on the chart depicts 1 single crochet stitch.

Read the chart as follows: On odd-numbered rows, read and change colors from right to left; on even-numbered rows, read and change colors from left to right.

When changing color, carry and work over color not in use on wrong side to bring it across and/or up to the next stitch where it will be used. Do not cut or finish off colors until work with each color is complete. For large areas of the same color, it is best to attach small balls of yarn (of the changing color) on each side of the large area instead of working over the color. Begin and end each color with a long tail for any touch-up embroidery.
