Foreword

Melissa and Claudia Gunn are sisters who have spent a few years campaigning for toutouwai/New Zealand robin for NZ Bird of the Year, an annual competition run by Forest and Bird to raise awareness of New Zealand birds. Claudia is a singer-songwriter and Melissa is a scientist.

A school principal told us she hadn’t been able
