About this ebook

The League is on a continual path of expanding. Galactic corporations are always reaching out farther into the Galaxy to search for new profit planets and people. Three missions underway are reaching out hundreds of light-years in search of opportunity. NovaTron Universal was one of the largest corporations that had launched the three missions. There was always a risk for a starship crew, but the expectation of wealth on an excellent discovery was worth it.
Three starships went into uncharted space; Discovery, Searcher, and Looking-Beyond. Each starship was crewed by individuals seeking wealth. The first two months, the starships traveled close by each other. After a couple of months, they would alter courses to search different sections of space. Once separated, each starship would be alone for many months.
Discovery - in the search for new opportunities, the starship Discovery discovers a new and vile species and must self-destruct to prevent the LayChays from locating the League. LayChays don’t fit the mold of Vampires, but with their handspikes, the result appears the same
Searcher - Searcher has the misfortune of discovering a planet that seems a fantastic opportunity on the first examination. Landing on the planet, the first contact team finds a species that appears quite friendly. A new starship appears shortly after Searcher arrives, and a shuttle lands on the planet's surface.
Looking-Beyond - the search for new opportunities finds a massive starship under attack by two different types of starships. Looking-Beyond moves in to help the starship being attacked and finds itself outnumbered by unseen hostile starships. Looking-Beyond is boarded, and Captain Justice Storm gives the order to evacuate. Though he doesn't know, his friend Lieutenant Linder Shellac is part Vampire and turns off her fake heartbeat to escape in the captains' yacht. Captain Storm is bitten by a Vampire and stabbed by a LayChays before he reaches an escape pod. His pod is drawn into the massive starship, where he is altered to become a Guardian.
Two different variations of Vampires would be found to loath each other. A fact that, if utilized, could work to benefit the League. Vampires and LayChays might despise each other, but they viewed the League as a tremendous source of different tasting foods.
The League would be thrust into a two-front war with two very evil species. The war would be for survival as free beings or a falling to a food supply. The League was large and robust but would have to wage war with two-star nations that amassed three times as many solar systems as the League. Fortunately, the number of the solar systems against the League was large, but not the actual number of beings.

I stopped publishing in 2011, did not stop writing. My wife had been diagnosed with cancer and that was more important than publishing. Unfortunately, she passed away and I am trying to move into the digital world. That was our goal for September 2018. I delayed it for 1 year.My books are written so that young kids can read, no sex or bad language. The books are fun to read and even non Sci Fi people have told me they enjoyed reading them.

Vampiric Wars - Clayton L McNally

    Vampiric Wars Ship Categories

Note: There are five different fleets in the Vampiric Wars series.

    LayChays as in Lay Chays

    Vampiric Wars Ship Duties

General - Each type of starship, from smaller star frigate to the largest super star dreadnaught, mount massive energy weapons; Sub-Atomic Disruptor Array (SADA’s), ION Cannon (ION), Regenerative Phased Accelerate Beam (RpAB), Resonating Tetryon Accelerated Particle (RTeAP-6K), Matter-AntiMatter ORB (MATORBs) and Neutral Accelerated Particle beam (NAPbs). Polaron ORB (PolORBs), Nova ORB (NovaORBs), Chrono ORB (ChronORBs), Grav Gun ORB (GravORBs), Phased Plasma ORB (PhasedORBs), Quantum ORB (QuantORBs), Tri-Cobolt ORB (TriORBs), Transphasic ORB (TransORBs), DarkMatter ORB (DarkORBs), Temporal ORB (TempORBs). Multi types of a point-defense system as well as multiple shields. Each starship carries numerous missile launchers, Laser type banks, and Orb banks. The actual numbers on each vessel remained classified, and the numbers increased by the starship size.

AI Super Dreadnaught, there are many ‘Hunter’ type starships of the ‘Guardians.’ They all utilize the same power, weapons, and technology. Still, each starship could look different based on a ‘Guardians’ desire. The primary scout starship the ‘Guardians’ will use to investigate the universe and lead in battles. Hunter is a massive weapon.

Super Dreadnaught, Dreadnaughts, Battleships, and Battle Cruisers: Their primary mission is waging war. Super heavy hulls designed to take a lot of weapons fire, generally not used for diplomatic purposes unless it requires an impression to be made.

    Vampiric Wars Ship Duties

Heavy Cruisers, Cruisers, and Light Cruisers: Their primary mission is to monitor the universe and alert a ‘Guardian" of impending dangers, but they would also have to keep waging war. Large hulls were designed to take a lot of weapons fire, but not as much as the ‘Battle’ ready starships. Generally, they were not sent into known aggression areas unless as a support ship or part of a small fleet.

Carriers, Light Carriers, and Fast Attack Carriers: Their primary mission is to support battles, but from a safe distance with a constant guard of escort starships cruisers. They would also have to support waging war. Light to moderate hulls were designed to take a limited amount of weapons fire but was not intended to be in the middle of a battle. Due to their fighters and bombers' nature and the damage they could inflict on the enemy, star carriers would often be the target of choice by enemy warships.

    Hunter

Hunter is a super star dreadnaught of the ‘Guardians.’ The unique nature of this starship is in the Artificial Intelligence that becomes complete when an individual is augmented and bio-neurally linked to the vessel. Capable of destroying a planet with its weapons arrays, it utilizes several flight modes:

    • Sub-Light - Less than the speed of

light, primarily used in intra-solar system travel

    • FTL - Faster-Than-Light (up to

3,633 times the speed of light)

    • SlipStream - Faster-Than-Light (up to

13,444 times the speed of light). SlipStream cre4ates an artificial wormhole.

    • QuantumSlipStream - Faster-Than-Light (up to

27,563 times the speed of light). SlipStream cre4ates an artificial wormhole.

    • HyperDrive - Faster-Than-Light (up to

39,628 times the speed of light). SlipStream cre4ates an artificial wormhole.

    • Spatial Folding - Manipulate Space and

Time to instantly move from one part of the universe to another at over 67,620 times the speed of light

    Hunter

    Slayer (future)

Slayer will be a one-of-a-kind super star carrier created by Captain Storm for his future bride. This starship's unique nature is in the Artificial Intelligence that becomes complete when an individual is augmented and bio-neurally linked to the vessel. Capable of bringing hundreds of fighters and bombers and weapons to a battle could equal a star battleship class warship's firepower. It utilizes several flight modes:

    • Sub-Light - Less than the speed of

light, primarily used in intra-solar system travel

    • FTL - Faster-Than-Light (up to

3,633 times the speed of light)

    Hunter Shield Technology

    General (six types):

Bow / Aft, Port / Starboard, Dorsal / Ventral

    Normal Flight:

Cloak - Invisibility of a ship, including all energy levels

Regenerative - Rapidly regenerate, the lowest power level of a Shield

Deflector - Particle protection against small debris in space, asteroids, meteors, missiles, and slower torpedoes

    Combat Ready:

Phased Cloak - Allows a starship to pass through solid objects

MetaPhasic - Allows a starship to pass through a suns corona

Temporal - Prevents temporal weapons from nearing starship

    Combat:

Rotating Harmonics - Allows a starship to rotate the

    frequencies of its shields

Subspace Phasic Shields - Allows a starship to adjust shields

quickly and effectively render the starship impervious to energy or torpedo weapons at a subspace level.

    Hunter Defense Technology

    Particle Acceleration Beam (40 percent):

AI Controlled batteries on the hull, firing fifty lasers ‘type.’

Beams fire every few seconds, overlapping.

    Kinetic Energy Rod’s (60 percent):

Several batteries on the hull are firing fifty small electromagnetic shells at light speed with nuclear strength and no radiation. AI Controlled with overlapping fields. Thousands of rounds per minute. Appear only at the command of Combat.

    Drones and Probes:

Probes - Are intelligence gathering within ten light-years of a starship or as instructed.

Combat Drone - Are weapons of both Energy weapons and smaller Tri-Cobolt ORBS.

Decoy Drone - Are capable of generating energy signals that suggest a giant starship.

Jammer Drone - Are capable of generating disrupting communication signals within twenty light-years of a starship or planet.

    Armor:

Combat Armor - Appear only at the command of Combat.

An additional twenty centimeters of hull plating, resistant through dissipation of energy weapons across the hull. If enough energy weapon fire, the temporary hull appears to evaporate.

Displacer: Appear only at the command of Combat. Automatically moves a starship a few hundred meters randomly to avoid weapon fire.

    Hunter Offensive Energy Technology

Sub-Atomic Disruptor Array (SADA’s) (two smaller on each side of the saucer):

Disruptor beam, damage increasing with continuous contact - breaking down the atomic bonds. Array requires its power source. Can reduce or eliminate shields. It can be fired in Pulse or Beam modes.

ION Cannon (ION), (two larger on each side of the saucer):

Fired a massive Electromagnetic Pulse that could disable a starship or planet for other weapons use. Capable of repeated firing. The heat could fuse parts of a starship.

Regenerative Phased Accelerate Beam (RpAB), (small Laser. On top of the saucer):

A Direct Energy Weapon that could be fired in any environment, lower level Energy Beam weapon.

Resonating Tetryon Accelerated Particle (RTeAP-6K), (second Laser on top of the saucer):

A Direct Energy Weapon that could render a DEW inoperative. One on a saucer. It could be fired as Atomic or Sub-Atomic Particles. It damages at the Atomic or Molecular level.

Neutral Accelerated Particle beam (NAPb’s), (lower Laser. on top of the saucer, three circles on wings, and one behind the bridge):

A Direct Energy Weapon that fires High Energy Neutrons that would capture Electrons. It fired one gigajoule or more of Kinetic Energy. It would penetrate shields and a starship hull.

    Hunter Offensive ORB Technology

Polaron ORB (PolORBs) - could penetrate shields and strike hulls.

Chrono ORB (ChronORBs) - allows an ORB to go in and out of temporal flux until striking target.

Grav Gun ORB (GravORBs) - turns a target's mass onto itself.

Phased Plasma ORB (PhasedORBs) - can phase out of space and back until contacting a starship hull in the same temporal time.

Quantum ORB (QuantORBs) - generates extreme vacuum energy.

Tri-Cobolt ORB (TriORBs) - causes ruptures in sub-space, reducing targets to particle dust or fragments. The largest Kinetic damage of any ORB.

Transphasic ORB (TransORBs) - a non-temporal ORB, the most powerful in the arsenal. Creates multiple subspace compressions around a target.

Matter-AntiMatter ORB (MatORBs) - an ORB that contains the raw the explosive power of Matter and Anti-Matter natural energy of a sun.

Nova ORB (NovaORBs) - an ORB that contains the raw energy of a sun.

DarkMatter ORB (DarkORBs) - an ORB that contains raw matter that can initiate a limited Black Hole.

Temporal ORB (TempORBs) - can de-molecularize a target by fracturing the space-time continuum. Causes portions of the target to exist in different temporal realities at the same time.

    Hunter Aircraft

Hunter carries three types of aircraft; Falcons, Hawks, and Eagles.

    Falcons

    Four Grav Gun ORB (GravORB)

    Four Phased Plasma ORB (PhasedORB)

    * Spatial Folding can be instantaneous, or a starship could remain in ‘Hyper Space’ until desired to exit.

    Consider

I believe in God! I think that brilliant men founded our nation, and Godless idiots run it today. One Nation Under God is our founding father's cornerstone. As such, why are we trying to remove God from our lives?

More and more Liberal Americans are working to remove God from our lives. You often hear that slavery is in our past. I submit it is healthy and vibrant in today's American world. Look at the number of Americans lured into handouts as a way of life. I think they have been enslaved by Liberals.

If an individual has been enslaved, are they then not slaves? The future belongs to those who take the time to educate themselves. All people should look to a slightly different perspective of slavery and ask themselves if they want that for themselves and their kids or want more.

It will likely take two or three generations beyond a first generation to take a stand before real change will take hold and last forever. Until then, the Liberal slave masters control many in America.

Those who would enslave others are looking to establish a United Socialist States of America, I think they could also be considered Vampires of today.

Prologue - In the Peaceful Beauty of the Night, there are Monsters!

No one from this evil generation shall see the good land I swore to give your ancestors.

Standing on a planet, any planet, and gazing up into the night sky could stagger anyone. Trillions of bright objects, stars that might host some billions of planets, inspire awe. One beholds such wondrous beauty, the majestic nature of everything that could lead one to expect that beautiful beings could only fill such beauty.

The vast nature of the universe teems with life, which varied from the necessary building block foundations; carbon, crystal, silicon, and too many others to catalog here. The beauty of life could only rest in the magnificence of its different nature. The difference was a common theme!

Humanity had risen from the primordial ooze to become a starfaring society. In humanity's journey, they had encountered hundreds of species, and together they formed a League of Worlds. Many beings were part of the growing society, so different that they couldn’t live in another’s habitat. Ambassadors from some communities had to reside and do business in specially constructed structures or die.

Humankind had become accustomed to beings that were terrifying to look at but were firm friends. Humanity had learned that appearance was never a good judge of the character inside of a creature. The League had grown to cover large sectors of space, and some of those encountered were other collections of creatures that were not so pleasant to be with. They were downright hostile.

Humanity realized that the universe was vast, and it contained tremendously different beings, and not all were friendly. One fact that humanity had a run into headlong was; there are monsters out there!

The newest ‘Guardian’ had personal contact with a woman who is part Vampire. Together they have a child, while the ‘Guardian’ must stop two different evil species; Vampires and LayChays. He finds himself in love with an individual that could bring fear to others.

    Chapter 1 - A Growing Blight

The Lord will strike you with wasting disease and with fever, inflammation, and fiery heat, and with drought and with blight and with mildew. They shall pursue you until you perish.

A coincidence of fate found two hundred Zanetian warships that had dropped from light speed for a brief rest and repair time, just behind an enemy force. The Zanetian fleet had just exited a battlefield where twenty of their comrades had perished.

Admiral Platner, we have enemy warship contact at fifteen thousand meters, Commodore Shelter looked up from the plot-board, which didn’t reflect as yet what sensors indicated. Looks like a scouting party investigating the system.

Twenty Vampire warships already had entered the Tranal solar system and were scouting for food prospects. They were just one of the hundreds of scouting forces that comprised the Vampire growth strategy. Vampire sensors focused on the planetary bodies deep in the system, and once no threat had been identified from other directions.

Didn’t need that piece of luck, Admiral Platner replied, shaking his head. His fleet needed some rest and time to make battle repairs. All ships, open fire!

Five Vampire warships were already deep in the system and had altered course to assist their comrades. Fifteen Vampire warships had found themselves too close to the Zanetian fleet and were slow to raise shields. Fortunately, automated weapons systems had lashed out toward the Zanetian fleet. Crews on both sides of the hostility had been caught by surprise, and shields were slow to rise to both parties' full strength. Zanetian and Vampire ships had launched torpedoes and brought lasers to bear.

Seconds of battle had brought ten Zanetian warships close to destruction; hulls had sustained numerous close hits. Zanetian hulls were damaged and risking damage with each moment the struggle lasted. Vampire weapons weren’t all that powerful, but the impromptu meeting and quick weapons response had been a winning combination for the Zanetian. Ten Zanetian hulls had been breached to space, and if they didn’t perish outright, the radiation would quickly kill all aboard. Brave crews, but lost to death.

Zanetian warships were in greater abundance and had launched over one hundred torpedoes, a fair number for only fifteen enemy warships. Vampire warships had been even slower to raise shields and found little comfort in the rain of death hitting them. Fifteen Vampire warships found one hundred torpedoes, much more than necessary for their destruction.

Admiral Platner, five more Vampire warships will be here in ten minutes, Commodore Shelter said as the fleet adjusted to the lull. We’re ready to engage.

All warships go to light speed on alternate course Alpha six, Admiral Platner ordered even though the battle would have favored his force. His first thoughts were of his crews and their need to rest. A quick exit was just what his fleet needed, not another battle.

Captain Brilon, the Zanetian fleet has gone, tactical officer Brenam said as he signaled to stand down to the five ships. Shall we pursue?

No, it would serve no purpose, Captain Brilon replied. There would be no logic in his pursuing, but informing any fleet nearby would offer a search area to look within. Send out a general message detailing their fleet size and last known direction.

Vampire forces had received the data signal to the last known direction of the Zanetian fleet. It was anticipated to be the final force to eliminate before the Zanetian planet might be discovered. Discovery would require capture and allow access to the computers to identify a planet's location.

Four months of search and destroy missions had gone on past the last spotting of the Zanetian fleet. One species had defied the Vampire nation too long and had to be eliminated. The home planet of the Zanetian would suffer a fate reserved for those that had cost too much. For nearly six years, the Zanetian had fought a hard battle against the Vampire star nation, a one-star system against about a seven hundred strong star system star nation.

Lord Kyron, we’ve entered star system 109-A, Admiral Brilon said as he entered the Lord High fleet commander's private hall. Many Vampire fleets were searching over a dozen star systems for the Zanetian people. The honors of the first kill would go to Lord Kyron. We’ve detected energy signatures from the fourth planet matching the Zanetian fleet.

Has it been confirmed? Lord Kyron stirred from his fleet planning. Finally, he had newsworthy of his attention. The Zanetian people had fought a good fight, but they had to be rendered inert. Signal Blood Stone Firma and move us in toward that planet.

It has been confirmed. A signal was sent in all directions, Admiral Brilon said before taking his leave. He was sure it was a call for help. We believe they have issued a recall of their surviving fleet assets.

Excellent, have the fleet make ready for battle, Lord Kyron ordered. He would hold off contacting Blood Stone Firma; allow time for the long-awaited kill. Let’s hold here and hold on that signal to Blood Stone Firma. Allow the Zanetian to know we are here with some scouting of the system, but let’s wait for their fleet so that we might finish it.

Very good, my Lord, Admiral BriTon replied. He knew every ship's crew would look to the space battle to excite them for the landfall and the certain feast. I shall order the fleet to alert status as a precaution.

Make it so, Lord Kyron said with the look of hunger building on his face. Lord Kyron would hold on to his hunt to allow his senses to be at a heightened state for the coming battle. He was still a solid week from needing to hunt to satisfy a growing thirst. He could always feed if the Zanetian fleet didn’t arrive too soon. Order hunts to be held unless a crew member is in too urgent a need for it.

Lord Kyron watched as Admiral BriTon exited the hall to issue orders for the Vampire fleet. Being an immortal species, they could wait patiently for the prey to come to them, now that the Zanetian home star system had been discovered. Lord Kyron was pleased with the call to remain and wait; the thrill of the battle would raise his crews' performance levels. So much had transpired in Vampire history, too much to live unless an immortal.

Lord Kyron mused about the past that had brought Vampires to the dominant force in the known universe. It all seemed like yesterday, but in truth, it took place some four thousand years earlier. The past viewed a very different Blood Stone Firma - one that had produced a species of human-like beings, almost identical to those that would centuries later walk Earth. Though a common human-type species before such monstrosities as human monster movies would picture Vampires, a species called Vampires had become known. They walked their planet some ten thousand years before humankind came to be on Earth. They were an old species but not ancient. Blood Stone Firma had been named not for the Vampire species' future but from the vast deep red stones found everywhere; they would be called rubies on Earth.

For hundreds of years, they had built on technology and a strong family structure. Blood Stone Firma wasn’t divided by continents but rather by families. Not unlike any world with human-type beings, wars took place, but these were along family lines. After centuries of fighting, ten ruling families rose from the battles, and over fifty lesser families held loyalties to one of the other families.

Thousands of years passed as the societal structure evolved to support the Vampire people. Evolution took place like other species based on ‘normal’ advancements in society; agricultural, industrial, and technological. Each step Vampires took brought them one step closer to becoming actual sentient beings that would take their place among the stars one day. Vampires were slower than on many planets to develop for the future; the family structure tended to get in the way. A healthy and sound system allowed for difficulties in sharing technological advancements that other species eliminated when their planets became one society. Try as some families had, Blood Stone Firma remained entrenched in ten ruling families and looked to do so for the foreseeable future. In the beginning, Vampires fed much as any sentient species, either as vegetarians or meat-eaters.

Truces took place throughout the history of Blood Stone Firma, and during those times, scientific advances sprouted across the planet. The Vampire beings had become masters of their world; land, sea, and air. A natural process of development would be to reach the stars. Like any species, the stars beckoned, and they developed technology to breach space and later venture barely outside their planet's reach. Vampires had not developed starships capable of traversing the stars, but it was only a matter of time before such inventions came to be. For such a proud and
