About this ebook

Sound, simple and easy to use Bible-based curriculum for elementary and middle school children. A Routine for Life engages both the teacher and children in looking at scriptures, understanding them and applying them to their everyday lives. Everyone using this curriculum will grow in their faith.

The curriculum is focused on creating a routine based on five main activities – read your Bible, pray, be helpful, be kind, and be thankful. It can be used as a standalone or you can incorporate other materials based on the needs of your children. It does not require many resources—low cost to no cost. Your children only need a Bible, a pen or pencil, and a notebook. Additional and helpful materials such as accompanying PowerPoint slides and student coloring pages can be downloaded from geedeecreative.com for free; or you can order the activity workbook. It is easy to use—short preparation time for very busy teachers and volunteers. Life happens, and if at any point you cannot make it to class (virtual or in person gathering), any member of your teaching team can pick up and teach the class using any of the resources.

You are invited to use this curriculum to prepare the next generation of leaders.

The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic forced us to reimagine and reorganize our lives. As someone rightly said, the first couple of weeks felt like snow days for both adults and children. After a month, schools were still out, churches closed, and diners closed, yet you were expected to work and children switched to online school. I knew that I needed to create a new normal to be productive at work, keep the family together, serve my church family, and make good use of my time. I knew all that, but I was struggling to organize my life to meet the moment.

One day, in a conversation with a friend, the light bulb went off for me—routine! Create a routine for yourself—know the ins and outs of your day, however imperfect. It was going to serve as a guide for each day. I began my personal routine.
