    Edward Smyth is a writer and speaker in the field of criminal justice. He has Master's Degrees in Criminology from Oxford University and Theology from Durham University and is now researching a PhD on prison chaplaincy. Edward is a Trustee of Sing Inside and an Ambassador for the Welcome Directory, and is Head of Philanthropy at St James's Piccadilly. His first book, co-authored with Jonathan Aitken, was published in 2021 and is called Doing Time: A Spiritual Survival Guide. Edward served 18 weeks in prison in 2015.
