About this ebook

Jennifer and Courtney have been neighbors and friend for quite some time. The two do everything with each other. And it is for that reason that Jennifer decides to ask Courtney to move in with her to share expenses. Jennifer thinks Courtney will jump at the chance.

The question opens a can of worms by forcing Courtney to tell Jennifer that she needs to know that Courtney is a lesbian and has been madly in love with her since they met. But doesn’t want to lose her friendship by moving in and creating unnecessary tension between them. Jennifer is in a quandary; she doesn’t want to lose Courtney friendship yet isn’t sure about the lesbian situation.

Jennifer asks Courtney to give her the night to sleep on the situation and see if she can reconcile her friends sexual proclivities and living together at the same time. Strangely after Courtney leaves, Jennifer is overcome with lurid sexual thoughts about her and Courtney.

When she awakes the next morning Jennifer is still undecided and decides to take the long weekend and talk their way through the complications. Courtney feels she needs to give Jennifer a bit of help in her decision, by introducing her to a few urban euphemisms: ‘Speaking Greek and Eating Cake’.

    Chapter One

Over the last two months Courtney and Jennifer had become very close friends. They lived in the same apartment complex on a Lake Erie beach in Port Clinton, OH and, although they had separate apartments, for the last two weeks they had spent almost all of their free time in Jennifer's apartment.

They had breakfast together in the morning and after returning from work they both took quick showers in their own apartments, put on casual clothes, and convened at Jennifer for what had become their evening ritual. A couple of glasses of wine and small talk about the day that led them both to the kitchen where they worked on dinner together.

After dinner they would spend the evening together sometimes talking other times watching a movie or TV until late in the evening when Courtney would return to her apartment for the night.

Over the last six month she had begun to feel very lonely. She was not a particularly social animal by nature and her recreational outings were limited to an occasional lunch, dinner, or drink with some of the other women from work. She was an NP in the pediatric ward of the local hospital.

She was greatly surprised at how much she and Courtney had in common and how relaxed and natural she felt around the younger woman given their age differences. Jennifer was 41
