With thanks and gratitude I share the message here in which Stan and Joan Cohen gave me the inspiration and fortitude to write this book.

    From: Stanley Cohen scohen@nova.edu

    To: valmavaro1@aol.com

Yes I did receive a copy of your yellow rose poem, and I have shared it with many of my fellow professors and my wife. The feedback was all positive like, What a beautiful poem. I can personally relate to this.

And you personally got into my soul. Keep writing. You are gifted. Stan Cohen

    Prelude

    Valerie Lawrence Pellegrini

I came to understand as I reviewed all my poetry that a deep imperative need for finding the source of life, of existence itself seems to reverberate through almost every word from the core of my being.

But now I see that the search for the source of life of thought of meaning itself is a transcendent doorway to awakening.

Lets understand that poetry as a form of artistic experience is a way we intuitively transcend data, or symbols or numbers that often then elevates us into an overview an understanding of life and the universe beyond the structured forms of matter here in the tic-tocs of time.

Yes poetry is one of those ethereal mental ladders. Well that appears quite metaphysical but then again that is what metaphysics is conveying. As Thomas Carlyle wrote The attempt of the mind to rise above the mind.

I can understand now the relevance of that inner dialogue which poetry and philosophy embrace. Mentioned later here I quote one of my favorite philosophers Kurt Godel a physicist and friend of Albert Einstein, who wrote, The mind is the thing that is structured but the mind exists independently of its individual parts. Kurt was a Platonist and Plato had become my philosophical mentor.

As we accept the duel here of life, death and the struggle for survival we can understand and forgive. You are the knowing not the condition that is known. Eckhart Tolle

So the depth of poetry for myself and many can inspire an ever evolving spiritual and psychic revolution to our evolution.
