    FOREWORD

    The Power of Witness

A young Pastor had served for many years in the inner-city.

Many felt that she was wasting her time there. She seemed to have little to show for her efforts, at least in terms of large numbers or an attractive building. But across the years, she had built a good rapport with the street people of the area and had gained their respect. As a result, she could safely go places that others feared to enter.

One night during a meeting at the church, an unshaven, poorly dressed, man entered. This man returned night after night and seemed to listen intently to the sermons. Finally, one night during the invitation, the man came forward. Do you want to give your life to Jesus? he was asked by one of the altar workers.

Well, I don’t know, came his reply. I don’t know much about Him.

Haven’t you read in your Bible about Jesus?

    Nope. I ain’t never had a Bible. And besides, I can’t read.

Then, why did you come forward?

Well, I’ll tell ya, I’ve been a watchin’ that Preacher Lady. She walks like she talks and so whatever she’s got, that’s what I want!

Many people will never read the Bible. The only gospel they will ever know is the one they see written in the lives of Christians. But this kind of message has the power to reach the lives of many people. Bishop Hattie Dancil-Small through the years has and continue to walk out in her lifestyle and witness, the talk she Preach. Knowing her struggle firsthand it is my pleasure to pin this forward.

If the express purpose of this book, Living Your Best Life on Purpose, was to motivate each of you to believe that before you were born God had formed you and shaped you for a particular purpose; mission accomplished! It deals not only in areas of spiritual vulnerability, but gives explicit remedies to overcome, according to the scripture, with victory.

God wants us to have fellowship with Him and He is always looking for an opportunity to become an essential part of your life because the Lord’s eyes scan the whole world to strengthen those who are committed to him with all their hearts. 2 Chronicles 16:19 CEB
