Dedication

This book is dedicated to the Glory of God as He is the one who inspired me to write the inspirations, prayers and blessings for the creation of Susanne’s Inspirations.

I also want to dedicate this book to my loving family and to the memory of our daughter, Janeen. Their lives brought me joy as they walked with me through my life’s journey.

INTRODUCTION

Loving greetings everyone,

I have written and typed hundreds of letters in my lifetime and it just seems fitting to write this introduction in a letter format!!

This amazing journey of writing inspirations began in November of 2015 when the Holy Spirit inspired me to write a monthly blessing or prayer for our church’s newsletter. The journey continued as each twelve-month series evolved. In November of 2019, I was inspired to publish a book! God was truly full of surprises!!

As I prepared for this publication, I reflected on my life’s journey. At the age of three, I had ear infections which left me with a profound hearing loss. My dear parents could have chosen to enroll me in the Michigan School for the Deaf near our hometown; however, they chose to mainstream me into the public school system. At the age of seven, I was fitted with my first hearing aid which enabled me to hear more clearly. I was blest with understanding teachers who were very encouraging and I graduated from high school with honors.

I attended Albion College and found myself changing my major three times. I finally wandered into a Christian Education Office on campus and found a booklet listing many vocational opportunities. Having an interest in the medical field and not feeling confident to become a physician or nurse, I discovered the field of Medical Records. I transferred to the College of St. Mary’s in Omaha, Nebraska, and completed the internship. This profession fit me to a T and gave me joy and contentment.

The rest of my life’s journey will be shared in the five series of this book.
