Pandumbic - Nick Givechi

GEN_X_PAN_PG_A.jpgA’s for Apocalypse.
There’s always been talk of this:
A very possible Walking Dead ending for all of us —
pandemic breaks out and every day thousands of
civilians are either found dead or test positive.
So many affected.
In some it’s so obvious
while others are asymptomatically part of the problem, but
too many unwilling to change a damn thing in their standard of living
aren’t altering one single pattern in compassion because of it;
so, while some run in panic,
others just scoff at the facts getting posited –
calling them fear-mongering tactics
and turning their backs on the
science, labeling all not aligned with their habitual actions as
maleficent lies and psychological warfare magnified by self-interested ties
…
and, since mind control’s laced into partisan politics,
in an act of defiance they actively deny
preventative findings to any rational cognizance.
Yes,
Life, Freedom, and Happiness are awesome accomplishments,
and the pursuit of all three should be always autonomous.
What you do to yourself is a common sense concept, but
if it endangers another it’s no longer all your prerogative.
A’s for Apocalypse, but a preventable one.
The warning’s there on our doctors’ lips, but America’s dumb.
We swear our future is bright as we stare into the sun,
going blind to the signs that our era is done
by way of how carelessly numb
we’ve become
to how close catastrophe lies.
If we listen to Trump, humanity dies.
But play lethal games, you’ll amass fatal prizes.
And for those who don’t care?
Uncle Coldviking’s back with some bags to unpack through poetic coping devices.
GEN_X_PAN_PG_B.jpgB is for Boredom – isolated, alone.
Coronavirus descended, signs of life turned to stone.
Everything fun’s been suspended now – our timeline’s unknown:
maybe four to five months of silently sitting at home,
bored to high
