    INTRODUCTION

Advancements in science and technology have reduced labor and increased production in many aspects of human endeavor.

As much as this can boost the economy of the manufacturing sector and services industries, the means of production—especially raw materials, labor, and capital—cannot be completely eliminated. Rather, better means of utilizing those means of production are in order.

Paramount is the labor factor. Entrepreneurs must be able to successfully run a business, and that means sourcing skilled labor. The need for skilled workers who can use modern tools efficiently—and, thus, for vocational and technical training—is more important now than ever.

This book focuses on reducing the time needed to train qualified employees without compromising quality. Modern Methods of Vocational and Industrial Training is a handbook for vocational and technical instructors and also industrial training officers. It covers the A to Z of skills acquisition, including planning and building training workshops.
