ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
First and foremost, I want to take this opportunity to acknowledge the Creator of the Universe. He gives me the passion to keep fighting for equity in education for all children. Many children don’t realize that they have a right to quality education, regardless of the color of their skin, racial or ethnic background, physical or mental disability, ELL and ESL deficits, deprived demographic location, apartment building, or suburban residential status. This lights the fire within my soul to push forward for every child and every student, enhancing the entire professional learning community. It’s all about the students.
I’m deeply concerned for any child who wakes up in the morning without a dream at heart, in the United States of America, or in any nation across the globe, because dreams build character. Character builds purpose. From the east coast to the west coast, from the north side to the south side of your cities, in the rural areas of this country that are so often overlooked and mismanaged, from sea to shining sea, I write this book for children, parents, teachers, school administrators, school boards, politicians, religious leaders, elected officials, and all who can and will make a positive difference in the lives of children.
