THE SECOND COMING:
ARMAGEDDON 1
CHAPTER ONE
Oh Kitty, you’re here, why sweetheart!
Emily takes her cat into her lap as she falls asleep with the gentle breeze inviting her into another strange dream. The purple blooms give off their sweet scent while the owlet, Mark of Christ watches over the woman-scribe, she, with the silver pen. The full moon sends Alejandra, the old owl aloft the tallest English oak tree, singing her ancient hymns to guard the earth, with special protection for Silver Castle, County of Banquets, Windsor, United Kingdom where the destined author of God for His salvation of mankind dwells, and tonight, she is led back to her ancestry, her roots and bloodline.
Hurry, Bishop Daimon, hurry! Here, come, follow me!’Danny Oakwood sweats hard and profusely as he rescues the embattled good Bishop of Fairgloss, now pursued by the Queen’s ruthless men and loyal soldiers. It is deep into the night of April 1558 but the old Oakwood castle burns like hell with the rage of
Bloody Mary" for the man of God who refuses to conspire with the queen in her vengeance against all those she considers enemies of her fate and threats to her majesty, mainly the Anglicans of the Reformation Movement.
Before the two noble men could be found by the demons of mortal power, they manage to sail on a boat to some island in the Mediterranean amidst an equally furious sea with a starless sky but the grimace of a sullen full moon. The Queen cannot be appeased even by the burning of the innocent babies in her merciless stakes of gore with the Bishop’s escape.
CHAPTER TWO
Bishop Daimon checks on his most loyal supporter, the young wealthy merchant, Danny Oakwood, descendant of the great German, Johannes Gutenberg, inventor of the printing press. The bishop’s head hurts badly from his ugly cut, hitting the rear end as the boat was tossed mercilessly by giant waves that night of furor and horror. His left shoulder is hanging like a hapless soul about to be devoured by the burning bowels of eternal damnation. However, the bishop never loses his spirit, raised by good monks and a loving but brave nanny, Augustha in the Valley of Grace, Oxon. This ordeal, yes, proves the toughest in his life but he knows he has a mission yet to fulfill. The bishop’s eyes are comforted by what paradise he now beholds, carrying the still unconscious Danny Oakwood safe to shore. The waves have become more than charming and amiable, rolling on the noble man’s exhausted but excited feet while the morning breeze hums its ode to the secret of the bishop’s true identity kept in his slingbag.
What brings a man this early to my island?
A soothing yet teasing voice suddenly greets the churchman by surprise. Bishop Daimon turns around to lay his eyes on the most beautiful woman he has ever seen in forty-five years. But Jesus Christ, she is fully naked so the bishop quickly turns to his back.
Oh, you’re too shy!
The woman laughs and the bishop’s heart cannot control beating so fast. He has never looked at a woman’s naked glory, not even in any of those magazines his naughty friends in the seminary would ogle in between their classes. The man of God utters a prayer with the morning sunshine smiling at the romantic curse of mischief this most awaited moment in the history of salvation. Finally, the bishop collects himself, and asks for the woman’s name.
I’m Bishop Daimon from the city of Oxon but served Fairgloss. What’s your name, and what place is this?
Hahaha! Why, you’re so formal! My name is Diana, Diana Achelois, I’m the Queen of this island, the Island of Floribunda, next to Ascension Island. Come, let’s meet my people!
As the woman takes the bishop’s hand, she is now in a flowing white dress, with the loveliest purple blossoms on her head. Bishop Daimon cannot help but admire such perfection of all earthly and maybe, divine beauty then he loses his consciousness as the seagulls begin to sing a love song, the Atlantic walrus swimming so gracefully with its elongated ivory tusks gleaming in the waters, with the elegant striped whimbrel making its enthusiastic peaceful piping sounds and calls, the clear blue skies anticipating Sara Teasdale’s best of her obra. Well, the angels of heaven, perhaps are not too keen on holding the love poetess in her cubicle, a little lower than the de luxe of the tragic love dramatist, William Shakespeare.
CHAPTER THREE
Is this for real or am I dead?
Bishop Daimon gets overwhelmed with all the splendor of life that he now fills his cup of delight. There are the loveliest flowers everywhere, fruits have never been such generous, people are incredibly warm, pleasant, and cheerful. The flora and fauna just send the bishop rejoicing for heaven’s consolation of his dreadful nightmare, and he leads Queen Diana’s magical world to a prayer of thanksgiving. Oh, the human heart cannot possibly allow any room for hatred in this bliss of earthly paradise, or is it the Garden of Eden, Part Two?There are tints and hues of life’s best moments in every nook and corner while the ages come in varied shades of delicate pastels, brilliant tones, humble strokes, and melodramatic dark colors. Handsome old men wear the grateful light blue, the middle-aged in the bold darker shade, the younger group charms in olive green; smiling old women are garbed in purple while the mothers come in floral orange, the spinsters and virgins are coy in modest brown, young ladies promenade in whimsical blends of pink and red. Oh, little big boys in laughing yellow, little stags in playful mint;as for the little big misses, they strut in cheerful fuchsia, the baby dolls in shockingly beautiful scarlet. Wow, the angels in their silvery cribs or in their mothers’ loving arms are wrapped nicely in shimmering blankets of gold. What page of God’s wondrous story of creation!Bishop Daimon drinks his sparkling glass of the rarest wine after the queen dances so rapturously beautiful in this August night under the full moon the waltz of destiny, the Bishop’s heart magically chanting the yet unborn American love poet’s,…I drank of the darkness I was fed with the honey of fragrance
[S. Teasdale 1926,Dark of the Moon
].
CHAPTER FOUR
Emily, Emily wake up!What you doin’ here girl?
Sdentha helps her best friend to her feet. It is almost four in the morning. The wind blows gently through the trees and their roots feel good with the gracious earth. Kitty runs lazily to her waiting ration of milk while Mark the owlet yawns in the riddle of friendship, with the old owl, Alejandra singing her last song for the hours before the glare of truth. The purple scent hides the mystery of divine plan as Emily’s longtime best friend walks with her back to the old Silver Castle home of Lord Roland, the noble loving father
of the woman with the silver pen.
Oh Jesus, I fell asleep again in the garden! You knew where to find me!
Emily loves her closest childhood friend like her own sister. Sdentha has always been by her side since they were in first grade. The lady is a real head-turner, with her gorgeous blonde, perfect face, seductive smile, and a fabulous body, not to mention her keen mind especially with numbers. Sdentha left Silver Castle to work in New York as a real estate agent, then bank manager for almost two decades a year since their college graduation, and well, to enjoy the bliss of married life. However, she has never told Emily of the identity of her first husband. She would write to her friend of everything great of that marriage except of who really was that businessman American guy she claimed as her first love that she had kept so hidden in her elegant but dark closet. The successful accountant grew up in a rather stiff, complicated family of cigarette factory owners and whose religious tradition made the stunningly beautiful woman too corrupted and rebellious in her heart that upon her independence, she joined a very controversial break away religious sect in the busiest city of the world. Now, at thirty-six, she is back in Silver Castle after her second marriage also failed. The Turk fashion model turned out an ill-tempered closet queen that Sdentha packed all her bags upon her chance discovery of her husband’s affair with their hot Russian chauffeur, who was studying Comparative Literature in Brown University.
Why, I miss your granny and aunt Nellie!
Sdentha puts her glorious weight on the floral sofa with nice background of cool bamboo prints as she takes the little portraits of two fine women on loving display."Your granny, Enriquetta treated me to the best of eggpies, and Aunt Nellie, poured me the nicest herbs!’Sdentha teases her best friend who serves her a generous slice of almost burnt apple pie and a cup of instant coffee, the Archangel staff busy with the sheep, the poultry, and the horses this early. Emily sighs. The past comes like the blazing sunlight into the living room of well-loved nobility over the ages. Lord Roland Archangel was a descendant of King Henry Tudor’s favorite man, the Duke of Old Windsor, the Legend of Oak, Sir Sixto, who married a great princess from the Netherlands, Princess Angustia Agustha who was equally adored for her kind and gentle ways. Enriquetta was a first cousin of Sir Roland while Nellie was the niece of both gentle human beings though with tough characters. Nellie was also a spinster like her aunt, Enriquetta but she had mischief in her bones and big sharp eyes, she would cover up for their precious Emily as she was growing up and infatuated with the most popular boy in their village, Ben, the hunk and the brat who would then elope with the sole heiress of Sir Roland after their college graduation in Fairgloss. But the stern though naughty young aunt obviously wanted the real good boy for her niece, that boy from Cambridge that she would give him those nice handwoven hankies with a silver sword, eagle’s and lion’s designs under the holy cross on his birthdays. Destiny was not that nice though at that time for two anointed youth. Emily’s thoughts are interrupted by her friend’s crisp guffaws.
You’re lost again, Emily!Hey, girl, can’t you help it?
Sdentha chides her complete opposite. Emily’s black hair, drooping black eyes, bashful charming smile, and athletic body with her world of fiction, make her the flowing stream of country bliss and likewise, its quiet mystery. The well-loved Lady of Silver Castle has always fascinated not only the gigolo, Ben Set but also, Lawrence Zebus Prometheus, the boy next door favorite of the spinster, eagle-eyed Nellie. Actually, loved by two of the most queer spinsters who were the best seamstresses and quilt-makers of the entire County of Banquets that they would invite the womenfolk of Silver Castle and nearby villages for quilting bees on many summer evenings, very generous to share their talents and skills like the favorite Duchess of the sole heiress, Duchess Shirley Dittahe, who is always eager and willing to impart her social etiquette among the wanna be’s of the English society. Emily’s granny, Enriquetta also quietly wanted the meek and respectful Lawrence for her niece.
Hi!I’m Lawrence Zebus!Here’s your ribbon…
The angelic face of an eight year-old boy smiles shyly though most refreshingly with the beaming sun as his chubby little hands offer a most faithful friendship to the tearful girl in light pink jumpsuit, holding her bluish-green gentle-eyed kitten, the lovable Kitty like she was a delicate doll, and her sleepy owlet, yawning so cool on the girl’s left shoulder. Today, the Village of Silver Castle is right for the most glorious spring, the oak trees beginning to get that air of pristine look, their twigs and branches opening so magnanimously to the clearest cloudless skies, with new leaves greeting the world as they glisten in the marvelous sunlight, pebbles and the bermuda soaked in early morning dew excitedly ready to pamper cute little bodies with play, fun, and adventure while tadpoles and larvae cannot wait to dazzle every pair of innocent, wondering
