Culture Shock: End of American Culture as Traditional Values Are Replaced
()
About this ebook
The Statue of liberty on Elis Island, New York, USA was given to America as a gift from France. It is a symbolic message to all immigrant arrivals that the USA stands for freedom. All are welcome. Liberty stands as a symbol of purity with traditional values. The torch held in the uplifted right hand is the lighted pathway to American freedom. The tablet in the left hand represents the date of Independence and the US Constitution upon which the Country was founded. Her expression reflects peacefulness and contentment. The robe that drapes her body is conservative clothing for the entire body. Liberty welcomes immigrants and stands for freedom, embodied in the American principles of traditional values and purity.
Conversely, as America has changed from traditional values to a society of permissive values, original traditional values are disappearing and replaced by the more permissive values of the 21st century. The Statue of Liberty on the front cover reflects this change away from traditional values as a “Culture Shock”, noted by the open mouth in astonished realization of value change. The torch in the right uplifted hand is replaced by a cocktail glass of Martini with three olives representing the holy trinity drowning in alcohol. The tablet in the left hand is the Communist Manifesto which has replaced the Constitution as the US moves from democracy toward socialism.
America values are changing and headed for an end to American Culture of the founding fathers. American is in “Culture Shock”.

"A special thank you goes to my daughter-in-law
and Artist, Claudia Exner, for the creation of this
books front cover. Claudia captured the theme
of Culture Shock
in one page by drawing a
bold portrayal of America’s welcome symbol, the
Statue of Liberty, portrayed in shock, disarray
and suffering from America’s value slide."
DEDICATION TO CULTURE SHOCK
This book is dedicated to my immediate family and the American People. I dedicate this book to my wife, Brunhilde, whom I love dearly and to my 4 sons, Warren, John, Norbert and Frank, and my daughter, Heather. They have enriched my life and supported my endeavors.
Second to the American People. My fellow Americans deserve a fully civilized society formed by the traditional values of America’s founders. These values are being replaced by permissive values. American should return to traditional values.
PREFACE
Our Beliefs and Values
Determine Our Behavior
Individual behavior in the USA has changed dramatically in the last five decades. More questionable behavior exists today than ever before. Many conclude that society has moved away from traditional values that has defined expected behavior of individuals. Traditional values have, since the birth of America, been passed down from generation to generation within the family. These values have been the lighted pathway that guided behavior. Our forefathers embedded traditional values in the US Constitution and rule of law. We know that individuals determine what actions or right or wrong base upon their values and beliefs. Today, many children do not get values passed along by family. Single-parent families are approaching 50 per cent of all families with children. These single parents are working and do not have the time to teach and mentor traditional values to their children. The result is that many of today’s kids don’t understand where the line is drawn between expected and questionable actions. Their actions are often questionable in an inappropriate way.
We see the result of this emerging value system played out every day. Just watch the news and you can see the increased craziness conducted by US citizens. Revealing attire today would be considered a tramp outfit yesterday. Consideration for others is approaching non-consideration. Our congressional legislators upstage one another with criticism and lack of respect on a frequent basis. Politeness and consideration for women and elders are a rare occurrence. Other examples exist but would be too numerous to mention. Suffice to say, American society has evolved with a new value and belief system. Many Americans think this change is not appropriate. Others think the opposite. America is a divided country.
Children who get traditional values passed along by family are often bombarded with a differing set of values through the education system. This produces confusion in our children. Educators are teaching their opinion along with facts and history. They mingle their personal
