About this ebook

More than 14,000 women and girls are being trafficked in the United States each year. They’re not always shipped in from different countries; a majority are from the United States. They are picked up by men who prey on women insecure with themselves, struggling to pay their bills in college, or are single mothers. The list goes on with the way these men convince women to sell their bodies in the streets or in the strip clubs of America.

In No More Games, author Sariah Lanae Hastings shares her story as a survivor of human trafficking. In this memoir, she tells how at eighteen she officially became a prostitute. For twenty years, she was trapped in “The Game,” being beaten and raped by men. Hastings narrates how God intervened, showed his grace, and helped her leave the sex trafficking life.

No More Games chronicles Hastings’ fight for freedom and how she now helps other women find a way out. She wants others to know there is hope, and they can be saved and freed from bondage.

    Dedication

I dedicate this book to my two children whom I love with all my heart.

Thank you to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, for being an Abba Father to me.

A special thank you to Phyllis Phelps and Susie T. for showing me who Christ is and being the hands extended in showing me a better way of life that points to Jesus.

To my two brothers and sisters in Christ. The support that you have shown me while walking this new life has been so encouraging and special to my heart.

To my co-workers that have kept me going while going through my surgery and helping me with being a single mother my thanks and prays go out to you all.

I would like to send a special thank you to all the Pastors who has walked with me in this new journey of learning who Christ really is in my life which are love, grace, and mercy. Along with knowing that I am God’s daughter whom He loves. I thank you for always pointing me to Christ.

Most importantly, I thank every person who wants to make a difference in this world about helping women who are being Human Trafficked in United States. Here are a couple organizations who have helped House of Hope NH, New Life Home for Women and Children, and Real Life Giving.

For the women that have been set free from this bondage remember you are not alone in this world.

For the women that are still in ‘The Game’, know that you can be saved and freed from bondage just like myself and other survivors.

    Dear Readers

This is a letter to every person that is reading this book. This book is to bring awareness to the HUMAN TRAFFICKING that is going on in the United States of America right now. Most people in America believe and think that the movies and stories are girls that come from different countries, that is not always true. The women and girls that are being human trafficked in United States of America are between 14,000 and up a year.

Most of the women that are Human Trafficked are from United States. They are not always shipped in from different countries. Instead they are picked up by men that prey on women that are insecure with themselves, struggling to pay for their bills in college, or they are single mothers. The list can go on with the way these men convince women to sell their bodies in the streets or in the strip clubs of America.

Understand that this book is only bringing to light some of the things that happened to me when I was human trafficked. Every survivor has their own story to tell.

Everyday there are women that are either being human trafficked or in a relationship that the man is beating them. There are women that walked around in this country that is supposed to be free rather we see women afraid to speak or look at someone in the eyes because they are afraid of what their pimp, or boyfriend, would do to them.

I have been free from prostitution for almost ten years and anyone in that lifestyle will tell you there are only three ways you can get out. Jail, being sold to another pimp, or being murdered. But, I’m here to tell you there is a fourth way. That way is Christ and people who want to make a difference in saving someone else’s life.

I pray that after reading this book you will become one of those people who will want to save someone’s daughter, mother, sister, cousin, aunt, or grandmother from a life of bondage. I pray this will move people into making a difference with the government and people in the cities in the country.

We need to save these women from modern day slavery in a country that claims we are free.

    Excerpt

I woke up naked on a bed, trying to remember where I was and what just happened to me. Blood dripped from my mouth. I saw men walking around in a fog. Who are they? I looked up and saw a man standing over me with a gun in his pants.

Get up now, he said. We decided you’re going to be my girl.

What do you mean, ‘I’m your girl?’

The man looked at me and slapped me in my face, knocking me back onto the bed. I looked up and saw my blood sprayed all over the wall. What did I get myself into? Holding back tears, I got dressed.

    Chapter 1

    The Blade

My name is Stephanie Brown. I was eighteen when I officially became a prostitute, lady of the night, hooker—whatever you want to call me. That is what you think I am. In reality, I’m a scared girl, alone in a world full of men that just beat me and rape me. Journey with me through a world known as The Game.

All the while I was abused; I was taught that I deserved to live in The Game. That it was all my fault. But after having come to know who Jesus Christ is, and experiencing his grace toward me, I have learned to forgive myself. You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free (John 8:32 NKJV).

When I look back at my life, I see how God saved me from the situations I was facing. I was a prostitute for almost two decades. During that time, the Lord Jesus Christ was with me every step of the way. "What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of
