Marilyn Huntman Giese
About the Author Marilyn Huntman Giese, born in Washington, D.C., has lived in or near Chicago, Illinois since she was two years old. She studied at Iowa State College. After marriage to the love of her life, Dr. Stan Giese, she continued her education at various colleges and writer’s workshops while raising a son and four daughters. She led Girl Scout troops and participated in work trips in Biloxi, MS, Standing Rock Indian Reservation, and Monteverdi, Costa Rica. Family fun included music and water skiing. In the 1960’s Giese began research for her historical novel of the First Christian Century. In 2010 The Eye of God, A Fisherman’s Tale was published. It follows the surprising life of St. Peter using his voice. She traveled to Israel, Turkey, Greece and Italy absorbing local color for the book. Giese is the happy grandmother of eighteen and resides in Aurora, Illinois. About the Illustrator Julie Kline is a graduate of the Art Institute of Boston, and recently published her first children’s book Milo Mouse Searches for a House. Julie is a mom of three and grandmother of four. She enjoys drawing and painting and sharing her talent with others to improve their art. Julie lives in Montgomery, Illinois with husband Jeff and her cat Jasmine.
