About this ebook
Thich Thanh Thien
Master Thich Thanh Thien is a Vietnamese-American monk who has attained enlightenment thanks to the practicing methods under the guidance of his Master, The Enlightened Master Thich Thong Lac, whom he met in 2008 at Chon Nhu Monastery, Vietnam after 11 years looking for his answers to Buddhism and the escaping path from suffering. Following his Master’s footstep, Master Thich Thanh Thien continued to spread real Buddhism to the world by establishing his website tuhanhdungchanhphatphap.net in 2017 believing he was fully qualified to do so as an enlightened one; since then, his website has been accessed by nearly one million people. The book Buddhism Conquers Subconsciousness is his enthusiasm in spreading real Buddhism wider, out of his home country Vietnam to English speaking countries such as the USA, where he was rescued and harbored after the Vietnam War.

FOREWORD
Nowadays, it is not difficult to access the ways of Buddhism principles and practices. There is a theory that ‘a chance path meeting with Buddhism is rarely experienced’, but this is no longer true. Buddhism documentaries are freely presented worldwide, and dharma talks are constantly being held everywhere. Nevertheless, this reality does raise the question of authenticity and the reliability of its sources, as these documents are written by humans that are susceptible to mistakes, leading practitioners to a nonattainment in enlightenment. With the realisation of life’s suffering, many people go in search of a guru or a wise master to find an escape to this never-ending pain and misery. But in an era that is thousands of years since Buddha’s existence, it is highly factual that finding such a person is close to impossible.
Wise Buddhist masters are hard to find, but it does not mean that they do not exist. In fact, the Buddha had thousands of pupils, yet only ten of those were destined to stay and give guidance to people who are in search of freedom, while the rest of the pupils chose to end their last breath through meditation. Hence, finding a truly wise master in today’s society is nearly impossible. But fortunately, our lives can be ignited again through the existence of a few true wise masters choosing to remain on earth for guidance to those who seek the truth, even if it may be only a few.
The Enlightened Master Thich Thong Lac has left great treasures of his experience and some successful enlightened pupils that he had trained. Some of his pupils choose to live in silence and only spread Buddhism to those who are close to them or have a chance to see them by fate. Yet there are also some people like Master Thich Thanh Thien who volunteer to popularise Buddhism, so perhaps many more arhats (an arhat is a perfected person, one who has gained insight into the true nature of existence and has achieved nirvana, or spiritual enlightenment) may also appear. For all the reasons above, along with Master Thich Thanh Thien’s wish to show his gratitude to Master Thich Thong Lac, this book has come to existence.
This book contains surprising truths about Buddhism that only the enlightened are able to see. We all know that the truth hurts, and none of us want to live a life full of lies and illusions. Therefore, accepting the truth means you are a step closer to your own enlightenment. This book briefly explains real Buddhism principles in simple terms in order to approach readers in the friendliest way. It also teaches correct methods of practising Buddhism to achieving enlightenment from the experiences of the true masters, Thich Thong Lac and Thich Thanh Thien. This book plays its part as a guide so enlightenment belongs to your own practice.
