1375.pngThe Alexandra Rae’s poetry, art and life took new
direction in 2016. The enclosed poems and
drawings have to do with three years of dealing with
separation and healing. She used capital letters to emphasize
the Divine power that has helped with her own break
throughs and finding re-direction in her life. She relied on
her faith to overcome the darkest of times and also to bring
forth her true creative power that had been hid for many
years. From Darkness to Light and from Light to Darkness,
her poetry draws you in from the back to the front, and a
mix in the middle.
Dedicated to my daughter:
May you find yourself, love all you do,
and only let people into your life
that believe in the Light you are!

darkness consumes
"Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy;
when I fall, I shall arise: when I sit in
darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me"
The Bible King James Version
Micah 7:8
image018.jpgburning heat
my heart on fire
my whole body burning up
my soul dying from loss of desire
my core inflamed ready to explode
I felt weighted down unable to go higher
so much pain and hurt
eyes burning with tears
I must have touched a live wire
my bodies temperature rising
morning took forever to come
I needed to escape all this heat
mind racing around with what to do
why did I stay so long with such a cheat
all my prayers to help him or us
but he will never be complete
he never appreciated what he had
now it is time for me to retreat
now it is time
