Woof Songs and the Eternal Self-Saboteur: ‘Reflective Poems & Essays on Dogs’
()
About this ebook
Roll!
And roll
In the high grass
As your dogs
Tongues lolling
Eyes gleaming
Bound around you!
Frolic
With abandon
The high grass now laid low
As your dogs
Soulful
And souls full
Of love and joy
Prance around you!
And In your rolling and frolicking
Know you are loved!
And that you will never
Ever
Be so poor
As to only have
Money!
For your dogs
Will be always around you
For ever
And
Ever after!

03.jpgFOREWORD
I deem it an honour to write a foreword for Jairam Seshadri’s collection of poems and essays, titled Woof Songs and the Eternal Self-Saboteur, inspired mainly by his pet dogs: Tinker, Rani and Shvan.
Also included in the collection are two poems inspired by dogs owned by others and even a couple of poems ‘written’ by his beloved Tinker!
If you are wondering, ‘why a whole book of poems and essays on dogs?’, we find the answer in one of his five essays titled The Razor’s Edge. In this essay, Jairam reveals how his pet dogs, quite simply, help him in his spiritual path; a compelling reason, if ever there was one to not only dedicate a whole book on dogs but
