About this ebook

Abaddon’s thirst for power and his blinding pride has taken him on a path that has led him into the first half of the tribulation. He has the mind and emotional control of most of the world leaders from the east and west and has a diabolical plan to play both sides to his advantage. His ultimate goal—to rise to world dominance and proclaim himself as the Messiah.

Cindy is Nef’s right-hand advisor, Aaron is his dedicated friend and follower, and James his army general. Abaddon is using these three as top lieutenants serving his cause. Chris has been raptured and is communing with Jesus about his A team’s future. Following the rapture, CJ and Brad have dedicated their lives to Jesus and to developing the underground Christian church of Symrna. The rise of Abaddon unfolds with help from his demonic angels and support of unsuspecting world leaders.

    CHARACTERS

    Level Seven (Heaven)

God Almighty, the creator and ruler of heaven and Earth, gave Abaddon (Satan) the right to influence and rule over Earth after Adam’s decision to choose sin. God’s ultimate goal is to recreate the heavens and Earth to his original purpose of peace and tranquility.

Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, came to the earth to fulfill prophecy and wash away the sins of all who believe in him. He has prophesied of his second coming. (Abaddon refuses to accept Jesus’s true identify and refers to him as the carpenter.) Since Jesus was the only sacrifice pure enough to redeem mankind for eternity, he promised to return to the earth and remove sin for all time. Jesus knows all and Abaddon’s goal on earth is to stop him from completing his prophecy. Jesus has directed his archangels to protect the Jews and Christians, his chosen, and he is preparing to fulfill his divinations propagated throughout his sacred book, the Bible. He has chosen the four members of the A-Team as key players in his achieving the completion of the redemption of mankind for the eternal goal of salvation.

Archangel Michael is the assigned protector of the Jewish nation and the chosen offspring— Christians—by his Lord Jesus Christ.

Archangel Gabriel assists Jesus in carrying out the prophecies proclaimed in the word of God. He supports Michael in protecting the Christians in level three, Earth.

Chris O’Malley has been best friends with James Lucas, Cindy Sparks, and Aaron Rubin since they were fifteen years old. He received his PhD in theology at Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois, and became pastor of a congregation there and part-time instructor at the college. Called of God to be an end times preacher, he was raptured with the church of Philadelphia, which included his daughter Michelle and Annette, the wife of his best friend James Lucas. He is in heaven with his son Paul, who died at birth, his wife Caroline, who died of cancer, and Cindy Sparks’s daughter Penny, who died of SIDS as an infant.

    Level Three (Earth)

Nefas (Nef) Quietus is director of Middle Eastern affairs. Western world leaders have appointed him as the diplomat and negotiator for Middle East peace. Charismatic, intelligent, well spoken, and handsome, Nef has risen to world prominence for bringing peace to the Middle East. Currently, Abaddon possesses him, and he is being mentored as the coming Antichrist. Nef openly represents the interests of the West, those who support Israel, while deceptively directing the Eastern leaders, those who are against Israel, behind the scenes.

James Bradley Lucas, a West Point graduate, is the general of the Middle Eastern and Western armies and is a four-star general. He is under the direct command of Nefas Quietus. He was best friends with Chris O’Malley and is extremely close to Cindy Sparks and Aaron Rubin, members of the A-Team since childhood. James is dedicated to protecting his loved ones. He is respected throughout the world as a renowned war hero and is currently a member of the inner circle of Nefas Quietus.

Cindy Sparks, a Stanford University graduate, received a master’s degree in political science from Northwestern University. She became the lead assistant to the Illinois senator and was promoted to diplomatic liaison to Nefas Quietus, director of Middle Eastern affairs. She is currently the consultant and top aide to the director and an integral component of Nefas Quietus’s inner circle. She has been a member of the A-Team since childhood. Cindy lost her daughter Penny to SIDS. She is a divorcée and recovering alcoholic.

Aaron Rubin, a Jerusalem University graduate, earned his PhD in engineering and later became a noted rabbi. Aaron and his team developed the sophisticated defense system surrounding Israel. Aaron is a member of the Knesset, serving as director of the International Policy Institute for Counterterrorism. He has been a best friend of the A-Team since childhood. James, Chris, and Cindy came to his rescue, saving him from an attack by Abaddon’s demons. At the time, the archangels Michael and Gabriel possessed James and Chris. He is married to Ruth and has two young adult children, Benjamin and Naomi.

CJ O’Malley, the son of Chris and Caroline O’Malley, attended Northwestern University on a football scholarship. After an injury, he quit football and turned to drugs. CJ was best friends with Brad Lucas. He did not share his father or sister’s faith in Jesus; therefore, he was not included in the rapture of the church of Philadelphia. God gave him a vision, he repented, and he is now the founding pastor of the underground church of Smyrna with Brad Lucas as his partner. He uses his father and sister’s notes to teach the book of Revelation through the Internet. His goal is to evangelize the world and warn fellow committed believers of the coming prophecies yet to be fulfilled.

Brad Christopher Lucas, the son of James and Annette Lucas, attended Northwestern University on a football scholarship. He was CJ O’Malley’s best friend. Brad did not share his mother’s faith in Jesus and was not included in the rapture of the church of Philadelphia. Following the rapture, he accepted Christ and became CJ’s right-hand adviser and director of logistics in the underground church of Smyrna.

Stacey Lucas joined the drug culture instead of attending college. She is James and Annette Lucas’s daughter and Brad’s sister. She hates her father since he separated from her mother and blames her dad and God for her mother’s disappearance.

Spurious (Spry) Shuham, has his PhD in theology, was the past chairman of the Theology Department at Oxford University. Spry is the current spiritual teacher under Nefas Quietus. He maintains that all religions believe in the same God, now called the supreme being, and is head of the newly structured one-world religion. Spry is a member of the inner circle of Nefas Quietus, and Abaddon’s archangel Decedre, the unholy spirit member of the unholy trinity, possesses him.

In the book of Revelation, Magog is the name God gives to Russia, and Russia’s president is known as Gog. Gog has overall command of the Eastern contingency in the upcoming war against Israel and the West. Abaddon and his demons persuade and direct him.

Marshal Sergey Lagutov, the top general (marshal) of the Russian armies, reports directly to Gog. He has been assigned to be the committee chairperson and director of the military leaders of the East.

    Level Six (Hell or Hades)

Archangel Decedre, the angel of death, is Abaddon’s archangel in charge of possessing Spurious (Spry) Shuham and is a member of the unholy trinity.

Archangel Nergal, the commander of Hades, has been called to level three (Earth) to participate as a member of the unholy trinity.

General Raze, the head demon of destruction and the commander of demonic armies, primarily possesses Gog when necessary, but he does Abaddon’s direct bidding and is a member of Abaddon’s inner circle.

Colonel Odium, the head demon of hatred, is second in command to General Raze. He possesses Marshal Lagutov when directed.

Major Madid, the head demon of greed, is a key member of the demonic army. He possesses the leader of the Persian army when called upon.

    PROLOGUE

Three young high schoolers—Cindy Sparks, James Lucas, and Chris O’Malley—have coordinated, with the unknown help of archangels Michael and Gabriel, the rescue of Aaron Rubin from three bullies, whom Abaddon and his demonic minions have manipulated.

The fast friendship of the four members of the A-Team has been cemented as Cindy struggles with alcoholism, loses her infant daughter Penny to SIDS, and redefines her life in politics. Evolving as an inner circle member of Nefas Quietus, director of Middle East affairs, Cindy is privy to his rise to world prominence as the architect of world peace. Having no awareness of Nef’s inner identity, Abaddon, she continues serving as his confidante and top aide.

Because of the spiritual guidance of Jesus, archangel Michael, and John the Baptist, Chris conquers drug addiction and the emotional paralysis caused by the deaths of his newborn son Paul and his devoted wife Caroline. His teachings on the Second Coming of Christ are world renowned. Chris’s daughter Michelle becomes his assistant while his son CJ rebels and turns to drugs. Chris and Michelle have been raptured and are with Jesus.

Having reached the rank of lieutenant general, James has made the ultimate decision to serve his beloved army at the expense of his family. His wife Annette has given him his freedom from marriage with a separation due to his propensity to play Rambo and put himself in harm’s way. As the ranking general in the Middle East and Cindy’s close friend, he has become part of Nefas Quietus’s inner circle. However, he has begun to question Nef ’real identify. With Annette’s disappearance, he is determined to protect his son Brad, who has gone underground, and worries about his daughter Stacey, who has become a drug addict.

Aaron’s avenging angels—Cindy, Chris, and James have saved him from a savage beating when he was fifteen. They have become close friends, and he has spent years doing all he could to help his friends achieve their very best. Fallowing God’s call to Israel, Aaron, a graduate of Jerusalem University and a spiritual rabbi, has developed the sophisticated defense system surrounding Israel. He has been promoted to the director of International Policy Institute for Counterterrorism, and he has been elected to the Knesset, the governing body of Israel. The committee has assigned to him the task of completing the rebuilding of the holy temple. Aaron has maintained close ties with James, Cindy, and Chris; and because of the regional peace cultivated by Nefas Quietus, Aaron has sprouted a close friendship with the director. Abaddon, known as Satan on earth, has been determined to supplant Jesus and earn his rightful seat at the right hand of the Almighty. Operating under the delusion of pride that he has the power to overthrow the carpenter, his term for Jesus, he has forged a plan. That design includes his protégée, Nefas Quietus, whom Yetzer, Abaddon’s chosen, has molded since childhood. Abaddon has replaced Yetzer and now has taken up personal residence within Nef. He is manipulating the world interactions to his own means.

Abaddon’s minion, General Raze, rules the demonic world army with Colonel Odium at his side. His legions have infiltrated and maneuvered the human army to meet Abaddon’s objectives. Madid, a demonic angel, has risen in rank to major by propelling Cindy’s alcohol addiction and causing her to willingly yield to the influencing power of Abaddon through Nef. He has become a lead legionnaire, overseeing Vasari and Invidia, who continue to attempt to control James.

The world has turned upside down after all the children and many adults have mysteriously disappeared. Chris, Michelle, and Annette have risen to meet Jesus and have entered heaven during the rapture.

Having chosen the pleasures of the world over God, CJ and Brad have been left behind after the rapture. Both have come to the realization that they have chosen selfishly and poorly, and they have now accepted God’s calling. Receiving a vision from Jesus and assuming their roles as the founders of the underground church of Smyrna, CJ and Brad have begun their new ministry.

The world has fallen into turmoil.

Nef is doing his diabolical best to blame the two witnesses—Moses and Elijah, who are still prophesizing on the temple grounds in Jerusalem—for the disappearance of the children and the lack of rain.

Abaddon continues to manipulate the world leaders of the East and West toward his goal of usurping Jesus’s place in heaven and earth. He entertains the belief that the carpenter is no more than an angel created before him, one who has failed in his task for God. He cannot accept the truth that the carpenter is God in the flesh.

Jesus has opened the first seal—the beautiful white stallion representing peace on earth.

It is time for the second seal to be broken—the big red stallion of war.

    CHAPTER 1

Abaddon morphed out of Nef. He looked at his demonic servant, General Raze, and lifted his arm and index finger to gesture that he needed a minute. He raised his eyebrows right and then left; then he rolled his head around in a circle. He began to feel the stiffness release as his arms slowly stretched out like a crab’s claws. He bent over, swayed left and then right, stood up, and rose on his toes. Abaddon looked like an athlete preparing for a long-distance run. When he had sufficiently distended every muscle and ligament in his powerful body, he moved to a dark corner with General Raze.

Abaddon looked directly into the general’s eyes. Abaddon had experienced too many failures at the hands of Jesus. He clenched his teeth; and his eyes narrowed as he hissed, I hate being cooped up in those confining human vessels. I need to be roaming about, but this final project requires my hands-on attention. We cannot fail!

His face relaxed. My plan is falling right into place. The carpenter has helped me out again. I think of that human saying—’With enemies like him, who needs friends?’ He waved his hand dismissively. Something like that.

General Raze knew the saying was the other way around, but he did not dare contradict his master.

Abaddon laughed. He has opened the door for me to take complete control of these fools in level three. We’re going to have Nef blame the Jews for this little disruption. All those children and adults simply vanishing? I’ll make sure the global community blames those evil magicians at the temple in Jerusalem for having caused all the little kiddies to—poof—disappear. It’s perfect!

Do you think the world will believe that? General Raze asked.

Oh, the people in the East will blame the Jews. They’ll begin to retaliate immediately for taking their children, and they’ll remind the world of what the Jews did to the children of Egypt so the pharaoh would give them their way. I, of course, will direct Nefas to say that it’s nonsense. You and your army will guide the non-Christians to do my bidding. The Western countries will rise up to protect their precious Jews, but they’ll soon be dissuaded. I have a plan, and it will succeed, Abaddon concluded smugly.

Abaddon straightened his shoulders and stood tall. He looked at the general sternly and continued, General Raze, have Colonel Odium do his best to get General Lucas to follow my orders to the letter. The general is proving to be a good asset, but I don’t trust him. He’s too unpredictable, and for some reason, my legionnaire can’t fully dominate him. As long as we have his precious Cindy under control, he’ll be manageable. Now I must go to level seven. Yetzer! Come forth!

    Yetzer appeared.

Enter Nefas and be sure this human idiot stays distracted and can’t do any harm until I return. I have something I need to retrieve. Besides, I’d like to see how many have been taken to heaven.

How weak should I make Nefas? Yetzer asked.

These human vessels are so pathetic. It takes so little, especially in spoiled capitalistic societies, to make them totally ineffective. They whine over the slightest things. Their lust for power, control, sex, and greed, and their focus on themselves and their own comforts make them so easy to manipulate. I can convince them of anything, making them ineffective. Use your imagination.

    Yetzer morphed into Nef.

The general turned to Abaddon and asked, What about the carpenter’s followers who were not taken out? Won’t they be a problem?

Abaddon’s sense of pride made him feel almost giddy. The fact that they are still here answers that question. These ‘nominal Christians,’ shall we say, will assume anything I say because their pride won’t let them believe they were left behind on Earth. They have always been too concerned with themselves to be in love with God. Some may not accept me as the true messiah, but they’ll suffer for it. That will deter others from committing to that loser carpenter and drive them to me. Once we have control of the global community on Earth, we will take control of heaven. Now I must get on with my plan. You know I can’t be in two places at once; but after I overthrow the carpenter, I’ll be rewarded with that ability. For now, keep my plan moving forward.

    Yes, my lord and master.

    46092.png

Abaddon strolled into level seven with his usual air of pride and ownership. He wrinkled his nose at the same old environment: perfect weather and lush greenery. It was so boring to him. He pulled his hood as far forward as possible—the infernal light was most perplexing. Ever since he had been given levels three and six as his primary domains, he had learned to enjoy the darkness much more. Abaddon licked his lips, raised himself up on his toes, and strutted forward at a fast pace.

Archangels Michael and Gabriel leaned against the corral fence that housed the stallions. Welcome back, Abaddon, Michael said with a smirk. Archangel Gabriel turned to look at the visitor, and he too forced a crooked smile.

Michael, you’re the most annoying being I’ve ever known—stupid as well—passing up an opportunity to be part of my plan. Both of you can wipe those phony smiles off your faces. I’ve come to retrieve what is rightfully mine.

You have come because the Lord has summoned you, Michael said, smirking.

Abaddon gritted his teeth. It irritated him when anyone saw through his lies and deceits. You’re quite full of yourself, Michael. Before I return to my kingdom, I want to speak with the carpenter. Abaddon emphasized the word carpenter.

Jesus appeared out of thin air behind the serpent of old. What do you want?

The evil one spun around and looked at Jesus. He noticed Jesus had brought two guests, Chris and Michelle O’Malley. Abaddon identified them: an end times preacher and his sidekick. Foolish carpenter, bringing them to level seven. They were becoming a thorn in my side. Now that they’re out of the way, I don’t even have to eliminate them.

Abaddon ignored Chris and Michelle and looked back into Jesus’s face. He sneered. Do you know what pathetic creatures the Almighty created on level three? The worst are those new believers who fell for your stupid rapture trick of bringing some of their friends or family here to level seven. That little act caused some to panic and claim they have accepted you as their Messiah. They’re still a bunch of fakes. When push comes to shove, they’ll deny you and follow me.

Abaddon displayed no signs of intimidation when Jesus looked sternly at him. Abaddon, I’ve had enough of your accusations. Your time of freedom to enter my realm and cast disparaging remarks about my followers in level three is soon coming to an end.

Abaddon’s nostrils flared. He held his breath for a moment and let it out slowly. He responded with a superior tone. You never can keep me from heaven whenever I want to enter it. The Almighty understands my potential and has given me full access to this place you call your realm. I may have been ordered to go to earth and rule it, but he knows that I’ll ultimately be in charge here as well; so it won’t be your realm for long.

Jesus ignored Abaddon’s arrogance and changed the subject. I believe you have come for the big red?

Yes, I have, and you can’t stop me!

I don’t want to stop you.

Michael. Jesus looked over at his archangel. Please go and retrieve the stallion for our guest, he said in a friendly tone.

Michael turned and opened the corral gate. Abaddon’s eyes widened as Michael entered the corral.

The archangel went into the horse shed and took the lead rope of the red stallion. Michael whispered in the horse’s ear, You and the evil one will become one again. Maybe you’ll return to us. Maybe not. That is our Lord’s decision. Do what you must to fulfill your destiny.

Michael walked out of the stable and stood still, holding the reins to the most beautiful red bay stallion ever created.

Abaddon’s stomach churned with excitement, and he released a sigh of appreciation. His eyes narrowed, and he visualized what he would accomplish with the big red. Together they had almost reached completion before, and this time he knew the outcome would be in his favor.

Jesus looked at his nemesis, having heard his thoughts, and said, It’s saddled and ready for you to mount.

Abaddon brushed past Jesus and nudged Michael out of his way. Grabbing the reins, he slid onto the back of the fiery red and reached inside his robe, revealing the bow of war he had been given when he rode the white stallion of peace. He reached inside his garment, and a sword appeared in his right hand.

He looked down at Jesus. With this sword, I’ll cause war and destruction such as the earth has never imagined, and they’ll all bow down to me when I rescue them. Abaddon kicked the big red’s flanks. Its muscles grew taut, and its nostrils flared as the head rose and fell with anticipation, like a racehorse in the gate ready to take on all rivals. As they galloped out of the corral, Abaddon’s voice rang out, Now, my red, let level three feel our coming!

    CHAPTER 2

Chris and Michelle watched Abaddon ride into level three. They looked at Jesus. Chris raised his left eyebrow. What’s Abaddon going to do now?

I’ll let you see what I showed John while he was on the Isle of Patmos. Gabriel, Michael, Chris, Michelle, and Jesus watched as the Great Deceiver, the devil, moved toward level three. They followed.

Chris’s eyes widened when Abaddon and the big red became one and morphed into a great red dragon with seven heads, ten horns, and a crown on each head. The dragon stopped as it entered level three. It appeared to Chris as if the dragon were standing at the shoreline of a vast sea.

Chris cocked his head to one side and pursed his lips. Jesus looked at Chris and Michelle. The sea represents the lost nations on the earth. I’ve allowed Abaddon to go to earth, where you call him Satan. I revealed him to John as the great dragon because of the power I’ve given him in level three.

Chris remembered preaching about Jesus’ humanity and when Abaddon had had the audacity to offer Jesus the kingdoms of the world and their entire splendor. Chris shook his head because he found that almost laughable; it was Jesus, as the Almighty, who had given Abaddon power over earth after Adam chose to ignore the Almighty’s command and to follow Abaddon’s introduction to sin.

Jesus continued, The dragon is red because he is going to cause war. He will lead the armies from the North through Gog, the ruler of what you call Russia. At the same time, he will sway the armies protecting Israel, playing both sides against each other while controlling everyone. The dragon has murder in his heart for my chosen people, the Jews, and their offspring, the Christians. He will raise up an army in an attempt to defeat me in the end.

How will he gain such influence in level three? Michelle asked.

In order for Abaddon to usurp a position of world dominance, he must control the economies and the world’s heads of state. The seven heads you see represent the seven continental world landmasses: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, and Antarctica. This would be in keeping with the repeated theme of Abaddon’s world governance. Each of these heads is given a crown that represents power and control. Just as I gave Abaddon a crown when I opened the first seal, these heads are given crowns and therefore permission by me to do what is necessary to fulfill the prophecy I’ve given my prophets throughout time.

Michelle peered into level three. What about the ten horns?

Chris nodded in agreement with the question. He was also curious. It was so fascinating to hear their Lord be so open about the end times for level three. Chris hoped he would be given permission to participate in some way on level three to assist his A-Team friends. Chris added, And how long will Abaddon’s manipulations last?

Jesus thought for a second and answered, Michael and Gabriel were both with me when I explained both answers through my prophet Daniel. Remember, Gabriel, I had you explain to Daniel the vision of a ram and goat?

Gabriel closed his eyes and paused. He then opened them as he
