I am a proud mother of three sons. I was born in Pensacola, Florida, better known as the sunshine state. Currently I am a long time resident of Harvey, Illinois. My love and passion for others has always extended from a large family of sixteen siblings. With my life coaching skills and youth mentoring programs, I decided to make a difference. Through my Mekolection Corporation, I provide art programs for youth and community partnerships in collaboration with preschools and elementary educational facilities. Colorvyllecreativekids is a nonprofit arts organization; I founded to offer exciting creative experiences for challenged, gifted youth and their families. I truly believe education and arts go hand and hand. The combination of the two inspired me to illustrate and write my first book The Adventures of Daisymates. I believe we must stimulate the minds of our little readers with positive thoughts to apply to their future growth in life. The arts are important because our children are visual readers before actual readers. Remembering the saying, a picture says a thousand words, encouraged me to take those words to heart.
