About this ebook

This book will describe in four parts the waves of the east, west, north, and south. It will define two characters of fish from the Bay Area, who sought for an adventure from the Pacific Rim to the Indian Ocean. The main objective was to find the queen conch, or sri conch, generally known as the pink conch. Being in the Bay Area with the sound of the various objects of the sea, such as steamers, ships, surfing, and other activities, they forgot to explore the real value of life and the determination to find their objective. Lately, they came to know about the peace-loving pink conch and wanted to explore the peace formula and share it with the aquatics in the San Francisco Bay as well as beyond. Somehow, they were inspired to understand the conch, especially the pink conch. Never had they seen it, and they tried to know about it. Mostly they came to know the beautiful Bahamas and the Caribbean Sea and the conch habitants and the environment in those areas. Most likely, the serenity was derived with a variety of pleasant objects like the reef, beach, sea, clear sky, temperature, and many more.

Two unique aquatics of the bay from the fish class finally started their journey from the crowded San Francisco Bay, from the Berkeley region, with the aim to obtain the pink conch and attain a state of divinity. That’s the ambition and goal they formulated after attending the first peace conference in the Pacific Rim. The one and only goal was to obtain the peace formula.

Two friends, Goldy and Neil, planned for the journey with sufficient knowledge and confidence. Ultimately, they prayed to the Lord of the Milky Ocean for protection and guidance, similar to the adventure of the monkey who crossed the Indian Ocean by the mercy of the Lord of the Milky Ocean.

The course of action was different as they flew over the ocean and now under the water. Their cause was to find out the lost loved one and hear the curiosity. Curiosity is the basic form of intelligence. When they started from the Golden Gate Bridge, a place they were situated, and learned about the conch, why was the conch so much a curiosity?

The real path for attaining the divine conch was laid out by the two seekers as follows: Path from North Pacific Ocean to the Panama Canal, to the North Atlantic Ocean (Caribbean Sea), to the Gulf of Mexico, to the Bahamas, to the South Atlantic Ocean, to the Indian Ocean, to the Arabian Ocean, to the Indian Ocean, and to the Bay of Bengal.

Please read the entire book to know more. Learn and relax and have fun! That’s much more important.

    Pink Conch - Raj Behera

    WAVE I — WEST

In this section, Goldy and Neil set forth from the West in search of a divine conch or pink conch. Before the journey, they are situated in the circle of Mill Valley, Richmond, Berkeley, and San Francisco Bay. Before they depart in the quest of their cherished ambitions, they think of having a last chance to visit the Mountain View Bay Area and set up for the real journey. They pursue the peace formula and set out on the trip from the famous Golden Gate Bridge area, the habitat of their aquatic family for decades and many generations.

When Goldy grasps the top view of the Golden Gate Bridge, she is stricken with awe and reverence by its massive presence and appreciates the regal presence of the bridge. She is proud of being a native of the bay.

Neil, the best friend of Goldy, always jokes with witty remarks about the golden color of Goldy, simulating the Golden Gate Bridge, the name of the Golden Gate Bridge probably taken from the intensity of Goldy’s body.

Why didn’t they make it blue? Purple or something else? Gold versus blue—which color has more power in a living being’s mind? We have heard many tales from Mincey Granny and been fascinated about the golden deer and how a king was made into an illusion and lost his woman. Not only the golden hue of your body, Goldy, has its marvelous impact. There was a king who was attracted to a golden deer and lost his beautiful woman. Is there any golden fish outside of the seas? Surely, the river Krtamala has golden fish, and I have heard it from Mincey Granny. Seems a transcendental conch, such as Panchajanya, was produced from the churning of the ocean.

The Mincey Granny tales are appealing to their ears, and they are thrilled to know the details.

Peace Call from the Aquatics of the Bay

Peace is a word so loved by one and all for the aquatics in the bay. After a stormy season in the Pacific and being severely affected by the ocean junk and the noise pollution in the bay’s surrounding areas, the aquatics from the bay call for a meeting: Peace Call from the Aquatics of the Bay, a.k.a. the PCAB conference. It sounds fascinating as the United Nations has always desired to host such a kind of event, and especially, it is suitable for the diverse group in the Bay Area. Humans have the responsibility of being the guardians of all beings in the planet, so why not the aquatics? All of us have the responsibility to formulate a peace strategy, and a similar methodology could be developed for the general benefit of the aquatics as well.

Nowadays, global warming is affecting the condition of the sea adversely and shifting the behavior of the ocean’s life significantly. Even the growing dead zones are not a false alarm for the environment in total. Not only the humans are in the race to support and elevate the overall ecological condition. However, the aquatics are not far off in the race. Kudos to the team of aquatics in the San Francisco Bay Area for starting such a marvelous initiative—the peace initiative—indeed.

As the fall season is about to start in the month of September, the International Day of Peace is observed at the same time, and perfectly, it coincides with the peace call of the aquatics of the bay. The General Aquatic Assembly has solemnly announced a specific provision for the stability of the ecological environment stability of the entire ocean around the globe and primarily focus on the ideals of the SFO Bay in harmony with the surrounding Bay Area’s dedicated portions.

The General Aquatic Assembly is planning to adopt various sustainable goals and promote awareness of the global warming impact and the benefit of change usage in ocean life. Any system could fail if the strategy and the implementation plan are not carried out well. The aquatics’ lives need to be protected as well for a better, sustainable, peaceful world. The reported goals touch base with the necessity of clean water and a long-run mechanism to make the system useful in different climates and weathers—sewer and waste management, sanitation and environment, etc.

Peace on earth has been coined by humans, so why not Peace in the ocean? It is no doubt a noble cause and a vested interest for the aquatics, by the aquatics, and from the aquatics. Who else could think better for them unless they plan for a peace strategy for the entire aquatics community? To establish a systematic thinking approach, we need to conduct research on the peace formula and how it is imbibed and practiced so that we live and coexist in a meaningful manner. To live together, cooperation is very necessary, and an abundant thought process is well sought for.

Peace is a daily, a weekly, a monthly process, gradually changing opinions, slowly eroding old barriers, quietly building new structures.

    — John F. Kennedy

Peace cannot be kept by force. It can only be achieved by understanding.

    — Albert Einstein

Darkness cannot drive out darkness. Only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate. Only love can do that.

    — Martin Luther King Jr.

It would be best if you did not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean. If a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty.

    — Mahatma Gandhi

To really change the quality of life in the ocean and the mass of water, leading aquatics like sharks, whales, dolphins, etc. need to adopt the change the way they see things around the bay. The ability to attain or gain a peace system for global inclusiveness is technically a state of mind, and it does not require sums of jewels, sapphires, and various hidden treasures in the deep blue sea or among higher species of life. The change for mental tranquility and a stress-free environment must be progressive and inspirational. So any change of substance is needed. Stay calm and relaxed. Even the bay ocean water and the waves are still cool, but the mind and intellect are still perturbed, persistent in educating aquatics on how various groups of fish families, even though different, could be peaceful. Please be mindful of the basic principle of being cool and strive for betterment in each area. It is such a splendid idea and dream for the remaining aquatics. How do you see the commonalities of the heart and the inner soul so that they would want to begin the change with you? This is how the future aquatics’ lives will evolve to become the ethos of the SFO Bay Area culture. This is how the renaissance is going to occur for the next-generation system of the universe.

The PCAB committee is planning to reinforce social cohesion and resilience for the aquatics’ so-called lifestyle. Are the aquatics in the Indian Ocean and Atlantic Ocean, erstwhile, facing the same challenge we encounter in the bay of California? Do they have any sustainable solutions to address the current ocean junk and undivided wastes reaching directly the bay? There could be some progressive ventures in this direction to prove this water condition of the ocean to be healthy, or a new line of waste management needs to be introduced. Let’s wait for the PCAB to complete and see what the fate for us is to attain the peace. Okay? Peace on earth, peace in mind, peace on the aquatics, and peace on the ocean too! Every endeavor will bring forth the results beyond our thoughts. Believe in yourself. That’s the mantra for now.

As the PCAB has many organizational objectives, such as raising awareness of waste management in the bay and the duties of the aquatics, it empowers the young aquatics of the bay region to develop a sustainable model for the entire globe. Generally, the second objective is more daunting because it needs a more profound level of motivation and enthusiasm as well as inner necessity to make a correction in society.

The youth have the vigor and stamina to undertake any campaign that is beneficial to the entire community as well as to the whole ecosystem. It’s a great responsibility of the older generations to make an enhanced interface and devise a means to pass on some of the core values of discipline and the two-pronged approach. More engagement happens between Generation X and Millennials. The outcome is always outstanding and touches all dimensions of the problem, and ultimately, all the beings develop a sense of respect to the natural universe.

Based on the statistics of the San Francisco Bay and Delta, one of the world’s largest estuarine systems, the elements of land residuals could influence the health of the ocean life. The aquatics will naturally be bothered by such profound influences on the climatic and aesthetic quality of the bay water life. It could ultimately affect the millions of humans residing in the bay and the valley. No wonder the Mediterranean climate and harbor and the abundant quantities of edible fish and shellfish make for a highlighted spot of crowded habitats. That’s a possibility for the sustenance of humans. However, the changes in the estuarine system in the bay will inspire an eye-opening talk for all of us.

Sometimes we can observe the considerable deterioration of the water quality affecting the nearby wildlife habitats, our brothers in the land. We are conferenced for them too in one way. The significant inflows from the rivers, localized flush mechanism, multichannel water disposal provisions, and minor negligence of the quality system could possible lower the water quality level and impact the habitats of the bay aquatics. Always, there is a danger in every stage. You can refer to all local newspapers on various articles, such as Cars, Profits, and Pollution. So on one side, we make profit. On another side, we make pollution.

We need to create a pollution-free ecological environment where all beings live in peace and harmony. Especially, the amount of plastic floating in the ocean is in tons of pounds, and our brothers are captivated by the slowly poisoned food and high choking levels.

The color blue is calming, relaxing, and peaceful, used to combat tension. In the modern days, people love the playful acts of animals, so if you are attuned to the peace formula, it can be an especially delightful and satisfying thing.

We are what we think, what we meditate, and, in the process, have become what we thought, begins the Buddhist collections of verse called the Dhammapada, and it is possible.

Like an archer, make it pointier.

The wise man calms his trembling mind by using his intellect.

No wonder the fickle and subtle and stubborn senses

Swing like a fish launched on sandy ground.

It shivers day and night, grappling to escape from whom—the last snares of Maya, the illusion and the temper.

    Meeting with Old Friends

All parts of the bay are filled for the PCAB event near the Golden Gate Bridge, a beautiful and serene place to determine the next course of the peace formula. One of the families from the east bay has come to join the event, and from the marine county, another family has joined the event. Neil is a youth from the Berkeley–Albany region, and Goldy is from Bay Farm Island, Alameda County. Interestingly, Neil and Goldy become friends with each other after they meet at the event. They have heard about each other from their families, and many of their big brothers used to travel back and forth from Berkeley to Bay Farm Island. This relationship has existed for a prolonged period.

Neil shows interest in the peace formula but is saddened that he cannot do anything to counterattack the current trend of pollution, and his brothers are getting affected by this drama. Goldy is the daughter of a rich aquatics community in the Bay Farm Island area in Alameda County and is interested in a new dimension of life. Their parents happen to be very close friends and cherished long memories in life. They are very inspired by the aquatics’ social values and culture and support the real movement of the peace formula.

In the peace committee set up by the Bay Area aquatics, there are several saltwater fish species, and it is a mammoth task of uniting the cultures of all categories of fish. Neil is used to calling many fishes by their slang names, so Goldy is also used to pronouncing such names, like Ocean Whitefish, Poor Man’s Yellowtail, Whittie’s Yellowtail, and so on. Goldy feels great with the local aquatics, such as Mossbacks, Home Guards, Forkies, Yellows, Yellers, Yellowtail Tuna, Ghosts, Grey Ghosts, Biscuits, Seabass, Croakers, and not the least but most funny, the family of the Halibut: Butts, Flat Fish, Flatties, Barn Doors, and so on.

In every single experience Goldy and Neil have with their extended family and friends, they always just start the conversation from where they had last spoken. Sometimes you are kept out of track of a conversation, just like a fickle mind tricks you and drives away the original point. If a lot of things happen from the time they had last spoken, I would tell them accordingly but not necessarily. Again, it depends on the dynamics of their friendship. Remember, the life cycle of the blue whale, the largest animal in sea life, is impacted. Lot of friends include the Mossbacks, Grey Ghosts, and Flatties.

Goldy and Neil often forget about the happiness derived from joining a conference with a great cause and ponder on how it develops the real thoughts in the cores of their hearts.

Peace! Peace! Peace! The waves are not that agitated because of sound pollution, garbage, oil spills, machinery, and so on.

It is a happy moment indeed to start a great cause and say to yourself, ‘You are the hero of the water,’ Neil says to Goldy. I’m so happy to see them joining under the Golden Gate Bridge for such a great conference.

Goldy gives a big hug to her friends—Tuna, Yellers, Seabass, and many more—and asks with enthusiasm, How are you doing? What have you been up to? So lovely to see you all at the peace conference.

California saltwater fishes are most the prominent in the aquatics society and very diligently put forward the peace formula. They represent the united aqua peace formula committee with the following members: Sharks, Rays, and Skates; Ocean Sunfish (Mola Mola); Pacific Bluefin Tuna (Thunnus orientalis); American Shad (Alosa sapidissima); Pacific Herring (Clupea pallasii); Threadfin Shad (Dorosoma petenense); and South American Pilchard (Pacific Sardine) (Sardinops sagax).

In the San Francisco Bay vicinity, you can find around eleven species of sharks. Yes, they are found in the bay itself, including Leopard Sharks, Pacific Angelsharks, Brown Smoothhounds, Broadnose Sevengills, and unique sharks. As usual, San Francisco Bay is famous for the restless Leopard Shark, moving to and fro like the ferry cruises of the bay. Miniature Spiny Dogfish ought to go to the deep in search of the zenith of the bay or hidden food lying in the bottom. They have wonderful enjoyment with their dances and jumps and deep dives into the blue ocean water.

When the peace call is about to begin in San Francisco Bay, many of the aquatics like the mollusks (clams, snails, and squids), arthropods (shrimps, lobsters, crab), worms, and sponges are found the Bay Area for the united aquatics conference for ocean pollution prevention and maintaining peace in the bay.

Communication among the fish happens through the nose. As we know, four varieties of living beings are born from plants, born out of water, born from sweating, and born from embryos. Aquatics are born from the glances of other beings, and the maturity of eggs develops in such a state of affairs.

Fishes even know the waters of their own reefs even though they are away from home. There is no problem in returning to the coral reef, where most ocean life remains. In the sea, the distinction between smell and taste is more blurred, especially for creatures who have no noses or the few who have no tongues. How different limbs are created and manifested is entirely inconceivable.

Goldy asks the single representative of the blue whale kids forum, Do you see the starfish across the Golden Gate Bridge? Do you hear the sound of the dolphin, the kinds of sweet music?

The response comes with a positive note from the fish community. This is a naked union of composite thoughts for a common purpose, and this seems to be the state of meditation where we are gathered in the August assembly of the aquatics of the bay.

Peace from the deep ocean, where the blue whales are

Peace from the coral reef, the rainforest of the ocean

Peace from the waves of the ocean

Peace from Neil’s and Goldy’s minds

Blessed of all the soft aquatics of the marine land of invitation for peace

All the marine species’ benign presences convey inner peace forever!

Their friends are overwhelmed with grief as they are lost in fishing. Some are lost for the sake of experiments and research, many more with improper methods, and still a few more on the verge of pollution. There is a great danger that is waiting for the community at the United Nations International Ocean Life Peace for All event. It’s a lifetime awakening of the gestures given by total participation around the Seven Seas. Gathering seems to bring a sense
