About this ebook
Richard’s lifetime work of poetry. He has been
studying and writing poetry as well other kinds of
literature for over six decades. Richard is a practitioner
in the field of software engineering, and has also
published many articles in technology journals.
He has a PhD in his profession, and still teaches
graduate-school level computer science courses.
He continues to make time for his other interests,
including literature, ballroom dancing, and Judo. His
Judo rank is Fourth Degree black belt and he trains
and coaches in the Judo dojo as often as possible.

The poems in this selection are only a small set from all the poems written by Richard Riehle over a very long period of time. Some, not included in this selection go back as far as 1953 when Richard was a teenager.
Richard was born in 1936 in semi-rural Pennsylvania along the Susquehanna River. He spent some of his early life on an island in that river on an island owned by his grandfather. He continues to visit that island whenever
