Mary Plaza is the enchanting mystic, and pragmatic teacher of energy that the world has been waiting for. By the time she was 16, she had become the foreman of a ranch crew, served on the local ski patrol and was an ambulance rider. Her grandfather taught her that not only could a girl break horses and skin beaver but also that she could probably do it better than boys. He instilled in her the message "If we take care of Mother Earth - she will take care of us”. This ranch girl continued her unconventional life eventually finding her passion in structural engineering and attaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. She went on to supervise railroad bridge construction, work at a naval shipyard, and become a transportation planner for the Forest Service. After getting married and having children, she settled down as a structural design engineer and construction inspector. A husband, children, a nice home and two cars in the garage should have been happily ever after. However, it became an invisible prison when western medicine failed to heal her neck of a “permanent” injury. This lead her on a journey toward healing her own body through alternative means, opening her to the world of energetic healing. Mary acquired certification in craniosacral therapy and went on to work with hundreds of clients ranging from infants to the dying, to those awakening spiritually and war veterans. She assisted with craniosacral classes at Bastyr University and developed a technique for releasing the cranial plates in the head by releasing the sutures (intersection points of the cranial bones). She developed this technique by applying structural engineering principles to the body. Mary worked with the late Dr. Nancy Soliven, MD, DC to expand craniosacral therapy techniques and assisted with developing advanced emotional dialoguing techniques. Her healing practices were later expanded by initiations into Huna, Tantra and other Shamanistic lineages. Alongside her healing work, Mary also became a corporate consultant. Her corporate experiences ranged from consulting for litigations, overhauling computer systems, establishing point of sale systems to creating procedures to optimize businesses functions. She has dealt with everything from analyzing factory production issues to rewriting job descriptions and setting up financial management systems. Mary’s seamless application of spirituality to a corporate environment earned her the nickname “The Corporate Shaman”. Prioritizing independence and creativity over obedience and memorization, Mary homeschooled her children and taught them to meditate and practice telepathy from a young age. Their childhoods were spent basking in the wonders of the rural mountains of Montana as a way to intrinsically know their connection to Mother Earth. After a close friend’s call for help Mary began treating war veterans suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. This shift completely changed the direction of Mary’s work. Fascinated with the complexity of war veterans and the failure to effectively treat their mental outlook by most western medical practitioners, Mary began treating them with craniosacral therapy. Later, as the wife of a combat veteran, she participated in programs for caretakers of disabled veterans through the United States Department of Veterans Affairs and the Wounded Warrior Project. She became an on the ground resource for veterans, their wives and children offering volunteer phone support twenty-four hours a day. The mission to assist in cultivating a peaceful humanity that lives in harmony with Mother Earth drives Mary’s work. Mary offers you some of the most powerful energetic tools on the planet for you to be able to birth your dreams and for us all to birth the energy of compassion on our planet. Preface

M y mission is to assist with the creation of a nonviolent humanity that lives in harmony with Mother Earth. This mission has evolved over the past twenty-five years. In the beginning, I primarily practiced energetic bodywork, such as craniosacral therapy, that focused solely on physical healing. Upon realizing the connection between emotions and thoughts, I began to see that our souls speak to us through our bodies.

In 2000, I treated my first war veteran. This called me deep into the world of war veterans and completely shifted the trajectory of my work. In 2006, I married a vet. My work became focused entirely on military post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) for ten years. During these years, it became clear to me that violence is at the root of our wounds. It also became clear that these unhealed wounds not only hurt us, they hurt the planet as well.

Violence is a strong word that I use intentionally. In my family lineage, I traced the energy of violence back to my great-great-grandmother, Elizabeth Collins. She was known as the Cattle Queen of Montana and witnessed extreme violence in the late 1800s. That was during the time when, to put it simply, the white people colonized the Native Americans. I saw how this affected her daughter (my great-grandmother), my grandfather, and me. I looked energetically at the root of violence and saw how it showed up in later generations.

Violence shows up later in the form of anger, shame, and oppression. This energy bleeds through the generations and permeates human life. As I continued this research, I became focused on this single and fundamental truth: War has to stop, and we have to stop devastating the environment. My mission homed in on our need to focus on creating peace with each other and with Mother Earth.

We have reached a pivotal time on Planet Earth. The collective energy is going in the right direction. The energetic constructs that birth physical reality have changed. While new energies have formed a magnificent energetic construct (the lightworker matrix) that encompasses Mother Earth, old energies are imploding and fighting harder than ever to survive. The lightworker matrix was formed by the energy of compassion. As the word lightworker may have many meanings to us; let’s define it as the compassionate human who is an agent of positive change. This means the lightworker matrix is the new compassion-based matrix.

In human language, this means that it has never been easier for us to create the reality that we desire. It also means that negative energies are more condensed, meaning that fear feels much more rampant than it actually is. The paradox at this particular time on Planet Earth is that we ought to be the most excited, but many of us are the most frightened.

By now, many of us lightworkers have spent decades working hard to heal ourselves. Even though compassion and peace are birthing planetarily, we often plug into the doomsday picture being broadcast by the media and popular culture. This is a time of great and utter confusion.

The negative energy that sprouts violence is the same destructive energy that creates environmental devastation. However, these dense, survival-based energies are leaving the planet. We are evolving into the energy of compassion. Compassionate energy honors life, respects sacred space, and recognizes that we are all connected.

Birthing a compassionate humanity who honors Mother Earth is exactly what we are doing. In order to do this we must unplug from the energies that limit us. We must first recognize the existence of the invisible prison to free ourselves from it. We cannot be confined by an energetic prison once we know it is there. Yes, this will cause change. We will awaken in the process of realizing that our limits were never real. A part of us will die as we birth our new selves through ego deaths. But we will endure to survive these ego deaths to birth our dreams. This is why we came to Planet Earth. We came to birth the ultimate dream. This dream is of a peaceful humanity in harmony with Mother Earth. Two simple things are most clear—we must stop killing each other, and we must stop destroying the planet.

How do we take on such a grand mission in the face of so many travesties and atrocities? We start by healing ourselves. Instead of getting stuck in ego death, we must move through our own evolution and become aware beings. We must become conscious creators. We must realize that we are energetic beings with infinite energy at our beck and call. As we birth our individual dreams, we assist in the birth of our collective dream.

The Matrix Teachings serves as a guide for you, the lightworker, teacher, dreamer, healer, and human being. This book is the cocreative endeavor of Thaddeus and myself. At their suggestion, I refer to my spirit guides collectively as Thaddeus. They identify themselves as a group energy that is part of the oversoul or larger nonphysical aspect of my consciousness. They first began speaking to me during a spiritual awakening in 2001. During this awakening, they guided me into the quantum field to witness how thoughts create energetic structures. I am an ordinary person who took an extraordinary journey to find healing and answers. Later, in chapters 15 and 16, I will share my story in more depth.

This book is a record of my experience combined with the teachings of Thaddeus. We left nothing out. We wrote the fundamental laws of the quantum field in such a way that you can visualize and understand them yourself. In my humble opinion, thus far there has never been a more powerful spiritual book written. Throughout the book, I will define terms that may be new or unfamiliar to you. Some terms may be familiar, but I may have given them new definitions in the context of the teachings of this book. I have included a glossary at the end of the book for further explanation.

The first six chapters of this book explain the ego matrix, which I define as a personal, individual energy field. We will look at the four core wounds, the four energetic truths, and the four primary soul energies. You will learn how to tell if you are experiencing an ego death and how to manage your way through it if you are having one. I teach the spiritual expansion process completely, providing new insight into how we actually create reality. After that, we will explore how the individual ego matrix interacts with other energies.

In the later chapters, you will learn how to manage your relationships, and you will find new tools for creating harmonious families. As we explore global matrixes, you will learn how to tell for yourself that the planet is heading for peace and not destruction. The matrix can be either an invisible prison or an energetic wonderland in which you can create the reality that you want here on Planet Earth. As your awareness increases, your power increases. We will cover the tools for managing your energy and the process of dream birthing. Expect to birth your dreams.

Although I can see the quantum field, it would not make sense without the explanations from Thaddeus. My deepest love for Thaddeus and these teachings flows through my heart to you and Mother Earth.

One person stands out—the one who took me to the finish line, the one who stuck with me through editing every paragraph, every concept and helped me hone my written word so that it could be understood. He was not just the editing and the finishing of this work, he was the beginning. He is my son who began my spiritual awakening twenty-eight years ago when he nearly died as a baby, Collin Ranf. His message to me when he was a baby was, Wake up, Mom! I did.

I raised him with the matrix teachings. When my manuscript went off to Balboa Press, no one was more excited than Collin. He was elated. Balboa Press did a developmental edit, and I was overwhelmed. Collin took it from there. He reviewed all the editor’s suggestions and assisted translating my understanding into more human language.

There were days when Collin interviewed me by phone and asked me questions, taking notes, and saying things like, Well, why don’t you just say that—I don’t even know that.

I would go back to writing, thinking, If Collin doesn’t understand, then how will any of my readers understand? Collin birthed this book as much as I and my guides, Thaddeus. He is my coach, my son, my editor, my greatest supporter, and proof of this work. This book would not be in this form without Collin. He is a dancer who lives in New York City. As far as acknowledgements go, when it comes to the rubber meets the road, that would be Collin.

Introduction

A lthough we can define the edges of our skins, we cannot define the edges of our energetic fields. We are connected to Source, each other, Mother Earth, and a host of energies that are constructed to have form. I call these forms matrixes . The word matrix was originally used to describe the quantum field by Max Planck, the German physicist known as the originator of quantum theory.

The quantum field can be thought of as the next dimension or the energetic realm beyond the physical. This energetic realm holds structure yet is dynamic and therefore eternally changing. A matrix is an energetic structure in the quantum field. The word matrix is related to the Latin word for mother, which is mater. Therefore, the quantum field, or matrix, can be thought of as the mother of the physical world. Everything—including you—exists as energy before it manifests in physical form. Energy births physical reality.

We are all swirling with energy. This energy was designed and built by thought forms into structures. These structures are all around us. We live inside them. These structures are matrixes. They are the energetic buildings we live in that cover huge areas of our existence. Just as buildings are houses for our bodies, matrixes are the energetic houses in which our ego matrixes reside.

We are energy. We are connected. We are immeasurably more energetically powerful than we know. Our energy affects every person on the planet as well as the planet herself. The greatest gifts we can give to the planet are our own awareness, energetic expansion, and our ability to manage our own energy. Our energy contributes to the reality being created here on Planet Earth. Our vibrations determine which matrixes we feed. Whether our energy contributes toward peace or violence is up to us. We decide whether we contribute to the matrix that supports a humanity that honors, respects, and lives in harmony with Mother Earth or whether we contribute to the matrix that is destroying her.

I bless you with this gift of empowerment for us all and our blessed Divine Mother Earth. Let us go forth and birth our individual and collective dreams. May we birth a compassion-based humanity that lives in harmony with our Mother Earth.
