Sleepy-eyed with drink in hand all is right throughout the land,

While swinging ‘neath the oaken tree, a buzzing fly

There on me…!

Away I swat my hands in air, that fly a buzzing everywhere,

Falling from my hammock swing, in my hair

That flying thing…!

To my house and through the door, by that fly forevermore,
