Hartley Atkins hails from Brooklyn, New York. He is a retired accountant and financial controller who held senior management positions in the Private Security industry for many years. He is the former Chairman of Bulwark Guard Services LLC, a private security consultancy. He has been married for over 40 years and has three (adult) children. Inhis leisure time, he doubles as SHYLOCK, the music producer, part-owner of the Recording Label, Eves Flair Music, the songwriter and the writer of award-winning Poetry. He has previously published two books, The Lyrics of Shylock and Poems of Shylock, featuring several of his poems and prose.
