I was born in Pittsburg, Kansas but lived most of my life in the San Diego, California area. I was raised in Ocean Beach. I began my writing several years ago and have been writing ever since. I have also like Science Fiction but I write professionally in all Genre. I spend most of my time writing because of the cold weather. I live in Idaho and it has been an unusually long, bitter winter--(snow, snow and more snow). I can write a novel every month. I write as I think and attempt to write in a PG format, making most of my novels suitable for all readers. "COLLAPSE", my first novel, was published by Xlibris and I am in the process of rewriting it. The new name will be "THE OBJECT 506.3". It is a science fiction novel about an object that is spotted laying in the Papa, New Guinea Rain Forest. My goal is to write four novels and to have them completed by the end of 2017. My co-author and I--(DeEtta Jane) are in the process of finishing up two more books. UP, DOWN & SIDEWAYS and ANGELINA are almost complete. Both books required extensive research. San Diego periods--1927, 1955 and 2007 are covered in these books. Some of the events are non fiction and have actually happened to me.--Enjoy the read.---DAVID ALLEN SUMMERS

    Dedication

I dedicate this story to my followers and to my wife who without her editing this story would never have been written. I sincerely hope as a reader that you think seriously about our future and the future of this delicate planet. There is still hope for all of mankind, but the clock is ticking, ticking, ticking. If you are the type of educated reader who likes romance and science fiction, then you will love this novel. I wrote this novel as I write exactly like I think. The information on time travel on magnetic compression machines is in the realm of reality. For the first time, here is a novel for everyone, a novel that explains so much and the information is accurate as well as entertaining. The Beginning

J ason listened to the sound of his recorder which measured noise underneath the ground. He observed the seismograph recording multiple tremors. He knew right away that this volcano that they called Yellowstone Volcano was about as near to erupting as possible. The research that he was doing was surly being recorded by others, just like he had been doing. He was now completely convinced that this Super Volcano was near erupting and he was not going to be around when it blew. He took a few minutes to recheck his recording and he found an important error code. He spent valuable time rechecking the error code and he found nothing so he decided it was time to leave. He packed up his sleeping bag, tore down his tent, and packed everything in the bed of his Chevy truck. He knew that he had better drive straight over to interstate fifteen and head south as fast as possible. He would not stop for any reason. He also knew that if he could make it to his sailboat that he would be reasonably safe, but he would have to drive more than nine hundred miles to get there. He fired up the old truck that had always been dependable, but the old truck, like him, was getting tired. For twelve hours Jason drove past rest stops and he would only stop for gas, water and a cold beer.

Jason Alexander pulled into the Chula Vista Marina at two am, let his seat back and fell fast asleep. At three pm he awoke and was tired and hungry, but he would be safe now because he was looking at his sailboat—a forty foot Catalina that he named The Blue Dolphin. The1993 Catalina had a deep keel for a stable ride even in rough seas. He had sailed this boat to Ensenada on several occasions. He was confident that the Blue Dolphin would sail around the world when the time came and he was sure that the time had come. He walked into the office, paid his slip rent and purchased a case of beer and some groceries. He walked down the dock to the end and stepped down onto the fiberglass deck. He unlocked the cabin door to unload his sacks of groceries. The interior of the Blue Dolphin was painted all white to provide better lighting. He enjoyed doing his studying down here out of the sun. He would be comfortable changing the color to an antique white when he got the chance. The two bedrooms were spacious and carpeted in blue shag. Each bedroom had its own bathroom, which was a luxury because most sailing yachts this size had but one head. He had installed the second bathroom by purchasing a bathroom kit that was easy to install. Jason looked around his boat, he smiled as he knew this was going to be his home for some time because when Yellowstone finally does erupt she will be a global killer and virtually very few will survive. Those who have yachts or airplanes or even fast moving motor homes would be the survivors, but no one has ever experienced the eruption of a super volcano so no one really knew where to go, or where to hide, or where it would be safe. Jason had in his mind some place like the South or North Pole where maybe the jet streams did not go would be a safe place, but he did not care for the cold. Jason only knew that places like Hawaii or Tahiti sounded like the place to be so this would be his temporary destination. Jason went to Walmart in Claremont and he purchased four hundred dollars of non-perishable groceries. Lots of canned goods, dry goods, frozen meat and fish. Jason spent the day putting away groceries and cleaning the bathrooms and the lounge area. He did not mind cleaning because it kept his mind off the volcano and the destruction that was sure to follow. At twelve O’clock He turned on the news and sure enough he was right the volcano was erupting, the news reporter said that numerous homes and lives had been lost and that the volcanic ash and rock had been blown into the atmosphere some twenty thousand feet. Jason went up onto his deck and noticed that the sun was obscured by something and he thought was it possible at this distance that he was seeing ash and volcanic gas in the atmosphere? He knew now that the sooner he left the better off he would be. He filled up the generator and the outboard fuel tanks, next he filled the one-hundred-gallon fresh water tank. He looked around and made one last check before he would un-tether the Blue Dolphin.

While Jason was untying the ropes to his sailboat he noticed that someone was sitting on his dock and it sounded like a woman or a girl crying. He walked over to the person and asked if they needed help. The young lady stood up, grabbed her carpet bag and said that she would leave because she knew she was trespassing. She said all this in Spanish, a language that Jason could speak fluently thanks to all the babysitters that his mother hired to care for him while she worked for a mere penitence of a salary, but she did manage to feed and clothe him. His mother, now deceased, was a kind soul, but a foolish woman also. Jason told her that the volcano had erupted in Spanish, she did not know anything about any volcano. He told her to come with him and she could watch the news and learn for herself. She told him that she was homeless, hungry, tired, and in need of a shower. Jason said that he could help her out and that there would be no strings attached. Andrea accepted the offer because she thought where else could she go. She was so hungry that she would have to take a chance on this person not being a serial killer or just one of those horny old men looking for a young piece of ass.

Jason picked up her carpet bag and helped her down onto his deck. He told her to follow him and she could take a shower while he fixed her something to eat. She thanked him and he smiled as he told her where the bathroom was and which bedroom she could use. Andrea locked the bedroom door and undressed. As she stood there naked, she began to cry, but it was a cry of happiness. She took a ten-minute shower, washed her hair and scrubbed every inch of her body. When she got out of the shower she realized that all her clothes in the carpet bag was dirty. She began to cry again. She heard the knock at the door and Jason asked if she was alright. She told him she would have to put on dirty clothes because everything she owned was dirty. Jason told her to hand him out her dirty clothes and he would wash them. He told her there were beach towels hanging in the closet that she could wrap around her.

Andrea found the beach towels. She wrapped one around her as she brushed the tangles out of her long brown hair. She used someone’s tooth brush to brush her teeth. She sat on the soft bed and waited until the nice stranger could bring her clothes. In twenty minutes, there was a knock at her door and Jason informed her that her clothes were in the dryer and in another ten or fifteen minutes they would be dry and he would hand them in to her. She thanked him and waited on the bed, but she was so tired she fell asleep dreaming of Mexico, her mother, her father, and her two sisters. Jason covered her up and quietly closed the bedroom door. He could wait no longer, he began setting the sails. He turned the Blue Dolphin into the wind and began his journey to Cabo San Lucas, which would take him four days to reach if the wind held. He set the compass for 82 degrees South West. He fired up the outboard motor and when the sails were full he shut off the outboard engine. He locked the rudder.

For two hours Jason set the sails and locked the rudder at 82 degrees South West and he knew that this setting would get him close to Cabo San Lucas. Andrea slept for eight hours and when she was fully awake she knew that she was safe, but not sure just how safe because she had had some close calls with horny gringos. She reached down inside of her carpet bag and removed the switch blade knife that her sisters gave her. She knew how to use it if it came to defending herself. She put her hair back in a ponytail and put on just a tad of pink lipstick. She would get her nervousness under control and go find this Gringo and set him straight.

Jason finished preparing the breakfast and he knew that this Mexican lady would come out soon and would be hungry. Andrea unlooked her door and walked cautiously into the lounge where she smelled bacon and eggs cooking. The tall gringo was, she thought, fixing them something to eat. She stood there and watched him as he scrambled the eggs on the hot frying pan. Well, good morning Senorita. Jason was speaking in Spanish so as she could understand him and she answered back, yes, it is a good morning, but where are we? She asked. Jason informed her they were about a full three days away from Cabo San Lucas and if the wind held they should be there sometime around two thirty pm, which would be a Wednesday. Andrea said she slept fine and thanked Jason for everything, but when they do get to Cabo she must try to find her family and Jason understood her feelings. He gave her three hundred dollars and told her that it cost eighty-five dollars to take the ferry to Guadalajara. The rest of the day Andrea was quiet and did not wish to talk to Jason so he ignored her as he was more interested in the news and the volcano situation. He knew soon people would be rioting and the world would turn into a modern version of the Wild West. There would be no law and order, there would be only the survival of the fittest or the one with the biggest gun. Jason was hungry so he fired up the BBQ and barbequed some steaks and made some toast and hash browns. Andrea watched him eat. Jason asked her if she could finish what he had left on his plate. Andrea gobbled down most of his lunch. She thanked him and waited patiently for him to get done adjusting the sails. You say your parents are in Guadalajara, well it will be like finding a needle in the hay stack because it is a large city spread out for about twenty miles, so you will need a car or a motorcycle to navigate around the place. Jason told her he had enough money to purchase a cheap auto, but only if she would appreciate what he was doing for her. Andrea thanked him and said that someday she would find the money to repay him. Jason saw the dark clouds approaching from the west so he started up the outboards so they could outrun the ash cloud. Jason steered the boat manually because he would have to change the sails quite often because the winds out here in the Pacific were erratic. Andrea sat patiently watching Jason spin the stirring wheel and make the sail adjustments. That night Jason had several shots of whisky. Andrea watched the gringo drink, she thought him a fool who may be a drunk like her father. Jason passed out at the wheel and Andrea took over. She added gas to the fuel tank and the generator. She set the sails into the wind. She was a natural sailor. Jason woke up with a terrible hangover. He drank some coffee and
