God’s Calling
I am a strong woman who has come to terms with a troubled past. I have learned to not be ashame of what I’ve been through; but yet to use it as power and elevate from it. God has showed me who I really am, through the pain in my life and for that I give him all the GLORY.
My son has taught me what true love means and feels like. He saved me from losing my sanity and hope. He was my eye opener and a gift from god.
To all my reader’s who have been through something similar; It’s alright and you are not alone. Growing to accept and love who you are takes time when you were raised with no proper guidance from your parent’s. Do not let the devil use you as a victim. Take what you have been through and grow from it all.
My journey has taught me how to love myself and to stop hiding behind MY SMILE.
This book was inspired by my loving sister whom died 16 years ago. Through every word that is typed in this book came from the loving spirit she had that is still in my presence as of today. I dedicate this book to my loving son Ja’Ron De’Shawn Brown. He gives me strength day in and day out. He has mold me into a better person and has shown me geniune love since the moment he was born.
I want to Thank all of my sibilings for raising me and not allowing me to get in the system of foster homes. I want to thank my God Mother for being a angel in my life. Remaining always humble and sweet. I love you all and I pray that my book brings us all back together as one just the way OUR parents’ would want it.

THE BEGINNING
L isa was hurt that no one really recognized her and did not want to socialize with her. She felt as if no one seen her or acknowledge her presence and she begin to cry a little from broken feelings. Everyone else were in groups and chatting with others but she was left alone. She whipped the tears from her face and begin to do things to occupy her time.
Lisa!!! Mrs. Walker yelled from across the room. Your father is here to pick you up.
Lisa jumped up with excitement in her eyes from the thought of going home with her dad early. She looked around at everyone else which would usually be gone before her but today she was leaving and stuck out her tongue and laughed and took off to put on her coat.
As Lisa begun to put her jacket on she wondered why she was leaving so early. But lost her train of thought when she saw her father with a warming smile. Hey chumped! Sam said as he held his arms out to hug lisa up. Hey dad. Lisa said!!
Sam was not Lisa’s real dad, she just love the thought of calling him dad since all her siblings did so. Sam was a husband of one of her older sister’s which she lived with due to Lisa’s biological parents being deceased.
Lisa wondered why her other siblings weren’t with her dad but didn’t think much of it once he asked: You want to go for some ice cream!
Sam asked while directing her out of the door. Lisa said, Yes Dad I want some ice cream. He smiled and said ok let’s go buy some from the dairy queen. Lisa grabbed her dads hand and begin walking out the school with him like always but just didn’t know that today was the beginning of taking her soul away from her. Can I get sprinkles on top dad? Yes you can, you can get anything you want Angel.
Lisa oldest sister took her in as her own daughter when their parents passed away 3 months after Lisa was born. Lisa had a huge dysfunctional family, divided into seven girls and seven boys with Lisa being the youngest of them all. Not knowing that taken Lisa in for her monthly checks she received from her parents being deceased and not out of compassion and love, her sister participated in being her guardian. Pam had three children, which in Lisa’s eyes were her own sisters and brother’s that Lisa loved being around. They all loved their dad. He made them smile and gave them whatever they wanted. Being welcomed into a family and being treated like the others is what made Lisa happy; for the moment.
Sam had a pretty good job and paid all the bills for his household. Lisa sister didn’t work as often and wasn’t home much. She would be out hanging with friends or shopping and always left her children home with Sam. Which the kids love staying with their dad because he let them do whatever they wanted. He always gave them money to go to the Penny Candy store and knew how to always make them laugh with his dry jokes that he thought was so funny.
Once Lisa and her dad got home. She ran around the house to see if her siblings were home but to her surprise there was no one there but her and her dad.
