William Clodfelter

William Clodfelter has always wanted to write a book. He sat one day, and It’s in the Cards was a reality William. He was into flying at an early age. He had an eight-year enlistment with the United States Air Force as a crew chief on B-29 bombers, later as a flight chief on B-47 jet bombers. As a leader, he supervised employees for an industrial and commercial painting corporation, with projects throughout the country. He never met a stranger but found you can’t always trust everyone. He was married to his childhood sweetheart, who passed away in February 2016. And his loneliness gave birth to this novel. He was educated in St. Louis and graduated from high school and worked in various fields. Sea planes were always his desire, not pontoons, so the story employs his love. His lady friend is patterned after a young lady he once knew. Her name Lottiedah, which came from la dee dah, a reaction. I plan a second book of our stars Noah and Lottie to continue this love affair. I feel a closeness to my characters almost as if I live them. his career in the United States Air Force , as a crew chief on B-29 Bombers, and later B-47 jet bombers as flight chief always found friends , he never met an enemy, at one time he owned an industrial and commercial painting with over one hundred employees. he was a gifted reader of blue prints and specification. meeting people was essential to him, his smile was accepted in any circle. this being his first novel he has started on a sequel to allow Lottiedah a continued romance with Noah.

    I

woke to a very beautiful morning, blue sky, slight warn breeze. a good day for flying. I planned a trip to Bull Sholes to meet two gentlemen who showed an interest in a business I was promoting. I fly amphibian aircraft, I purchased a 1942 Grumman Goose 21, it’s been back through the factory as good as new. it’s been approved by the F.A.A. if you never flew in an amphib, you missed the thrill of flying. oh it’s slow but you get to enjoy the view, your below the clouds, watching the landscape is peaceful and enjoyable. if you want speed, take a jet. they must be respected, like motor cycles, know what your doing, have knowledge of where the next lake of river is, of course there is always airports. you can’t land a land based aircraft just anywhere. I reached the ship, checked her out and was ready to go. don’t ask why we call things,[her]. I started the engines and taxied to the runway. I keep her at an airport for now. I’ll bore you with my idea as we fly along.

I plan to start a business for fishermen, make that fisher persons. women fish too. I will take eight clients who have signed up,30 days in advance of their trip. the group can come from business people or individuals. who ever puts them together gets his flight for half price. the group has told us what lake, what resort they want to go to. do they want fishing boats? we get reports from the resort the night before to alert us as to weather, water temp, what is the best bait or lure. we give them a continental breakfast, get them to their lake early and are met by the resort owner. they should be fishing by a half hour. they fish until six p.m. any expenses they incur are paid prior to departure. they can bring their catch along, and they must give the pilot any receipt, to receive a future discount for their next trip. I feel there are over a hundred thousand business and a million fisherpersons in our area. there has never been an inland sea plane operation, it will be called Unique service.

now I plan on calling on
