This book is for our dearest grandchildren, Brandon Kemp and Tyanna Kemp. They are the best grandkids any grandparents could ever ask for. We love them very much.
Maana
For Maana, that morning was like every other morning. Like all the other koala bears, Maana had been curled up on a branch of her favorite tree. When the sun rose, its light had become a little too bright. She blinked her eyes open and looked around her.
The forests of Australia are beautiful. Green plants make the area look fresh all the time. The tall, straight eucalyptus trees that all koalas love can be seen all around. Each koala have their own favorite tree and that is where they spend most of the day.

As soon as she was born, her Mama started carrying Maana in her pouch. Did you know that Koala bears have pouches like kangaroos do? So, wherever Mama went, so did Maana. She was safe and loved in that pouch and only came out to munch on eucalyptus leaves.
She stayed there for about six months. She also kept growing bigger in there. When she came out,
