Battle of the Wolves

About this ebook
It is set in a fantasy fairy tale setting and has mixed media; interesting photographs, abstract surrealist inspired paintings making it very appealing and unusual to a range of children who can access it at different levels.
It's confronting and quietly challenges current stereotypes about gender and age whilst retaining the main theme of freedom from false doctrines and control systems that elicit fear. It serves as a safe way for children to enjoy fear and provide a safe escape whilst also provoking then to recognize their own fears and constraints allowing them to fully realize their full potential as individuals.
Both the writing and the art also encourages children to think out side of their circumstances, question the world around them and have the courage to create positive manifestations in their lives.
I hope everyone will enjoy them but particularly child and educational psychologists, child psychotherapists, child social workers, parents, charities and teachers to help actualize positive change.
Tessy Gold Starry
Tess attended Gresham’s School after which she obtained a degree in English literature and sociology and studied to be a primary school teacher in Canterbury. She sung in Christ Church Canterbury Cathedral Choir. Tess went to raise standards for pupils and fellow teachers as lead literacy role in a school for children aged four to eleven after studying critical approaches to children’s literature at Cambridge University. Having grown up in Islington in North London, Tess has also taught children in London in nonselective inner-city schools. She has taught the full range as a nursery teacher to year six, tutored English GCSE 11+, and English literature and language to adults. Tess will now move into the world of writing and illustration for children, an audience she knows well. Tess also expresses interest in psychodynamics and healing therapies for children and believes unconscious emotions, thoughts, and dreams often manifest in the arts, particularly those repressed by control systems. Tess can play four instruments and enjoys going to church, cooking, designing, pilates, running, poetry, photography, painting, illustrating, and travelling. She is blessed to have loving friends and some loving family. She believes in positivity despite adversity—believing in the empowerment of vulnerable individuals, particularly women, children, and animals.

Battle of the Wolves is a story about childhood and the death of identity and expansiveness of consciousness against the forces of control and manipulation. It deals with an adolescent mind in an adult body changing to adult hood.
The exploration of change is illustrated through a controversial relationship with an older man who acts as a catalyst for the main protagonist to see life in a different way and break away from the forces that have held her back, namely fear and other manipulative devices imposed on her by others.
The story serves as an escape for young children into a fantasy world but also serves as a serious reminder to see things for what they really are and the elements that can hold children, young adults and older adults back in their lives.
It reminds them that even the things we
