New life
T he story begins during the wonderful and peaceful Christmas. The nightlight was as bright as the sunshine in the beautiful mornings. The fact that it was December 4 th , 1997 made a turning point in the world, I was born that night at 10:00 o clock in a little hospital created for wretched and homeless people. However, my birth brought harmony and happiness for the entire place; nurses were anxious to see the beautiful kid brought that night, doctors exclaimed with a strong voice, Halleluiah, thanks god! My family was super happy as well; their faces could have described it. The rest of the night everyone was celebrating and asking mom and dad, How did you name him?
My mom always wanted to call me David, but my dad disagreed. He told them that my name was Anthony. Finally, my mom decided to call me how she wanted so my dad gave up and said—alright call him however you want, but he shall have my last name no matter what!!!.
The days went by and I was growing up as a little man, my hair was black, my eyes were brown, although they turned green sometimes. My dad and mom were so happy that there was not a word to describe such a lovely felling.
One year already passed and it was my birthday, the first year of my life!! Antonio, my dad, did not have enough money to throw me a party; even that he and mom were doctors the wages were not good because of the government policies. Incredibly, that day I did not expect a Happy Birthday, but almost at the end of the afternoon my dad said that he had all in order and because I was such as a little kid, it was too hard for me to think about how did he got the money and made me a beautiful party with my other friends and the rest of the family, therefore I did not care about it. Now, let me tell you something important and is that my life was all about happiness until I was two because that year I suffered the divorce of my mom, Elida, and Antonio. It was so hard for me to believe that one of them would have to go and visit me when possible. Anyways, my mom decided to take care of me and my dad had to go; imagine what would be of a little boy at the age of two without his dad. The day that all this happened, I got the chance to know the meaning behind the words: pain and sadness, this was pretty tough for me but I had to admit it, there was no way to change it, what is done is done and nothing in earth will change it
. Almost eight years have passed already
