Proverbs from Turtle Pond

Proverbs from Turtle Pond developed from a writing assignment given by author Eric Napoli to his students at Rivendell Study Center, and from there it took on a life of its own. The characters within the stories have emerged from real situations with critters that took place in his suburban back yard ponds just outside of Buffalo, New York.

Eric is a lover of wildlife, family life, and biblical living. These proverbs, presented in fable-like form, combine all three of these passions. His children, young and old, have sat and listened to them be told and re-told, and, like the biblical Proverbs from which they are taken, the stories' meanings and effects on the recipient deepen and grow the more they are shared and heard.

Eric Napoli

Eric Napoli lives in the Buffalo, New York area with his wife, Kathryn, and his eight children. He has had a live and attentive audience of children within his own home and loves to tell stories with meaning and motive attached to them. As a pastor for over twenty years, Eric also has a deep appreciation for the Word of God as it relates to everyday life. He is a teacher of history and English out of the University of Buffalo and a graduated seminarian from Liberty University in Virginia. His desire is to train up strongly thinking, biblically sound, spiritually minded generations for the glory of God.
