English N China: China Through the Eyes of Forest L. Littke
()
About this ebook
This book is one in a series where Forest has found words, sometimes in the oddest places, which are by English perspectives, out of place! At first it was just an "Oh, look at that, how strange!" Then he began to take casual photos of the words, and thus it grew into a hobby. Then the hobby turned into a strange passion, and the collection grew from a simple dozen to nearly six hundred at the time of the first printed version. The first volume will have one hundred chosen photos with a short blurb or paragraph to follow. Most are simply random with the odd theme "here and there."
Forest L. Littke
Forest is a Canadian but has lived and worked in China since 2010 as an English teacher. Because of his clear, unmistakable Canadian accent, he is hired to teach oral English, helping the Chinese with pronunciation skills. While living in China, he has developed a close eye for the unseen or overlooked English words that are spelled wrong in public advertisements. He has developed a true fondness for the people and their country. Often strangers call out "Bethune!" after the late Norman Bethune a Canadian doctor who served in the Chinese army.

English n China.....or Oddities n China
拼写错误在英语ie: written mistake in English
China through the eyes of Forest Littke
Wikipedia says...The English word Chinglish is a portmanteau of Chinese and English. The Chinese equivalent is ZHONGSHI YINGYU (中式英语)or
Chinese style English. However, this is not a close look at the way Chinese is translated into written English as the written form or idea is in the wrong word order creating a mixture or upset of thought. It is, however, a collection of my
snapshots of the oddities that I have uncovered as I live in China. In recent years, because of the
smart phone or the
tablet or Ipad", people are now spending all their time texting or playing games when traveling from A to B.
