About this ebook
shadow of specter-like trees, by the grave of their father, listen to their narration of what transpired in
the fifty years of their separation, and witness how the story finally unfolds, there in the moon-lit
graveyard.
There are two other shorter ballads in this book. One tells of the heroism of Maximilian Kolbe, and
the other will challenge you to reflect on your life as pilgrim and how you bear your sufferings which
will lead you to the Eternal City.
Of the other poems and sonnets in Marcellus Moylan's first published book, some are prayers and the
others touch upon the themes of friendship, hope, and home.
Marcellus Moylan
Marcellus Moylan was home-schooled in Hawaii along with his nine other siblings. But it was in the minor seminary where his love for the English language and poetry was enkindled. In the course of his studies, Marcellus has traveled from the verdant Big Island to arid Australia, from the mountains of Idaho to the great plains of the Midwest. Spending fifteen months in Germany and Europe expanded his cultural outlook and linguistic abilities. Currently he is studying to be a traditional Catholic priest.

To Rosalinda Salgado, and, to Nancy Gallagher, who inspired me with a love for writing and literature, and who first suggested that I get my works published. And finally to Benjamin Besaw, for his friendship throughout the years.

"Poetry is not made of mere verse and rhyme,
Nor is its worth only in measure and time,
But poetry is a lofty form of art,
