Its great that I get this opportunity of thanking you for reading my books, and I am always appreciative of your kind words and praises. As you know, my poems have appeared in over seventeen anthologies, and a compilation of thought-provoking poems, titled Just a Thought, was born. In the spring of 2015, A Little Book of Rhyme went into publication. Again, I loved the feedback I received from releasing that book into the public domain. It was fun to write and illustrate it.

Re-awakening will always hold a special place in my heart as it was the first of my short stories to ever be published.

RE-AWAKENING

Mia Kenyon was suspended in darkness, drifting out into infinity without a hope in hell of ever returning. In the distance she could hear the desperate cries of her husband Mark calling her back.

‘Mia, please don’t go!’

Her departure from this world had been sudden and involuntary and no matter how much she tried she knew she was unable to make him hear her. Her thoughts echoed out across the universe.

‘Don’t give up on me Mark, please don’t give up on me!’

She woke up screaming, Mark awoke startled at the same time. Switching on the bedside lamp. Still gripped with fear she clung to her husband,

‘It was the worst dream. I was trapped in limbo. I wasn’t dead, but I wasn’t alive either’.

For a brief moment her terror was almost palpable. Reassured only to feel the sudden spurt of healthy kicks from her unborn child, and in an instant her fear feel away…

‘It was just a nightmare honey … it wasn’t real’.

Mia fell back to sleep shortly after resting her heavily pregnant belly against her husband’s back.
