Introduction
Those of us who are fortunate to live in Ocean Beach, in the city of San Diego, need no one to explain the presence of our green parrots, with whom we share the area. For years, Mexican Parrots have called OB their home. While they are popular with some and an annoyance to others, they are here to stay, in increasing numbers every year.
Their loud squawking early in the morning, alerts us to their presence. Like us, they enjoy the pleasant climate, which seems to suit their needs. They enjoy an abundance of fruit and freely fly from tree to tree. Their return in spring is eagerly anticipated by many of us. After all, what other place in the U.S. can boast of such frequent
