About this ebook

The novelette covers three days spent between an elderly disabled man and a younger, but mature woman, following a chance meeting in a bus station. The book is true to life, funny in parts but encloses important questions that challenge the reader to consider modern day sexual relationships and the modern way that society has come to view women as always being The Victim and the man to be the Perpetrator.
I hope that the book will emanate the fact that disabled people have feelings as well as the non-disabled and it is something that everyone should be interested in, because more and more of us are going to become disabled, in one way or another, as life expectancy increases.

Having observed the world for 60 years, this is my first outing in text. I make no pretentions to try and write from a woman’s point of view – as I am not a woman. I have been married twice with a total of four grown up children. But I now live on my own

July 10th Gloucester Bus Station about 4:40 pm

S at on a bench, I was 136 pages into Cherie Blair’s autobiography and getting mightily bored with it: reading all about what a fucking genius she is when my only real reason for reading the book at all, was that I wanted to learn more about what had turned her husband into an international mass murderer. His conversion to Catholicism had really pissed me off:

Obviously he had always intended to convert on leaving office. Like Constantine the Great he thought that by leaving his Confession until such time, then the Absolution would absolve him of all the blood dripping from his hands. Religion is pernicious.

Has the last number 14 gone yet? I looked up and saw this lovely face of a fortyish-plus woman angled down towards me with her chin almost resting in her unmissable cleavage.

Making an effort not to let my eyes disappear down this crevasse, I looked her square in the face and said No, I’m waiting for it myself. It leaves at 5:00pm and should be here very soon. She was about five foot three inches with dark hair and skin that obviously tanned easily.

She wore faded jeans and a reveal-all white sleeveless top.

Can a 58 year old man experience love at first sight? Admittedly I hadn’t had sex for 2 years since my wife left me, but certainly something awoke in me that I had not experienced for about 40 years.

I have to confess that I’d been trawling through several dating sites online for something in my own decade. But this one had a lovely chassis for her age and she had that, certain—je ne sais quoi!

    Good,
