Desiree Ang

Desiree Ang is a native Californian from San Diego, an engineer, a floral designer/artist, and a recipient of a Rose Sweepstakes Award from the San Diego County Fair’s Paul Ecke Jr. Flower Show where she represented Flowers by Chantal in the Professional Design Division. She was honored to have been chosen as a top ten finalist in Teleflora’s trade magazine (Flowers&) International Design Contest and as an accepted floral designer applicant in the Society of American Florists’ Sylvia’s Cup International Design competition. She was also honored to be a selected floral art exhibitor in the San Diego Museum of Art’s signature fund-raiser and annual floral exhibit, Art Alive, where her floral interpretation of The Young Shepardess (Bouguereau, 1885) was displayed. She is a graduate from the University of California, San Diego, with a Bachelor of Science in applied science/bioengineering with graduate studies in mechanical engineering/thermal science (San Diego State University). She received Floral Design I and Advance Floral Design ROP Certificates through the Poway Unified School District’s Regional Occupational Program and received other training opportunities by attending various seminars and workshops sponsored by the Society of American Florists, the American Institute of Floral Design, and the California State Floral Association. Her freelance experience includes event and special occasion flower designs and volunteer work as a main floral artist for fund-raising events. She is blessed with supportive and loving family and friends.
