The Cry of the Conscious Behind the Religion: A Book About Facts and High Thoughts

About this ebook
My intent is not to harm Islam in any way but to encourage more critical thinking using reason and logic. Its the accepting of ideas hammered into your head from childhood without critically examining those ideas with an adult mind. Its the idea of being so committed to something being true; one loses all ability to reason and think logically. My goal for this book is to make you think about certain ideas harder than you ever did before. I want to make you question your own beliefs and think about how you came to hold those beliefs in the first place. I want you to challenge any of my ideas that do not make sense to you or ideas with which you disagree. I am simply going back to the very beginning (literally) and critically examine some of the more universally accepted beliefs that we hold today.
As you follow me on this journey, its my hope that you will see that the idea of divine revelation may just be a lot more human than divine.

Glossary
Those who believe in the Almighty
After observing all the instances of the Space
And also believe in the freedom of thought
And in humanity.
Where is heaven and where is hell? Who tells, they are too far?
Heaven and hell are within the persons mingled on within humanity.
While with the pressure of passions, our conscious is lost
We are to be burnt by the hellfire of self-weariness
While we meet each other with pleasure and love,
The Heaven appears and stands before our hut.
Sheikh Fazlul Karim (1882-1936)
PROLOGUE
From the very beginning, human beings have been searching tirelessly for the Creator of the infinite universe. On the earth orbit, time has been pressed and crushed under the wheel of eternity. Thought, perception, argument, and basic research have heralded many theories on the creation and of the Creator. Amongst these theories, the most discussed are monotheism and polytheism. Owing to the debates, the picturesque green earth has been tortured again and again by religious authorities. Man does not hesitate to sacrifice his life to establish his ideology. Due to religious theories and many other ideals, multinational societies and religions are found in the world. Everyone considers their own religion, more or less, pure and correct; and to justify it, they assert many irrefutable arguments. Even today this conflict has not been ended, and whether or not it will be in the future, there is no guarantee for it.
On the perspectives of the ages, how these religious customs and creeds are to be observed (acted on) is purely a personal matter of human beings. So the demand of applying force on the human mind or power is the natural goodwill of the Creator. Nobody else has this right. It is clearly known in this age that those who, in any way, have feelings of fear, punishment, and torture in their minds are never mentally free and healthy. The disease of fear has made him ill. Religion is doing this day and night. No one wants to realize this loss and decadence. However, if anybody says anything against religion or expresses different opinion, then others become impatient to give him a death sentence on the charge of attacking their religious feelings.
Freedom of religion, freedom of speech, state laws, and humanity, which were once taught by the great religious men, are being stepped-on and thus sprout the demonic hand of cruelty and communalism. The trials are going on with man-made hadith and fatwa (conforming Islamic laws). Is it the ideal of the religion?
Along with hunger, clothes, dwellings, and other various familiar problems, natural calamities are always fastened to human life. In any atmosphere in which man lives, he is to participate in the war of his life. He is to face poverty and the needs of the family, disease, education, exploitation, social injustice, and tricks. Whether anyone follows the religion or not, he can’t be free from these punishments and anxieties. If it is said they are to prove their faith (religious belief), then the question does not at all arise whether or not a person would be sent to hell. So after the presence of so many punishments, if religious preachers threaten people day and night with their speeches and advice, the people of the society would be escapists, cowards, lack self-confidence, and in all spheres, they would be fatalists and idle.
In this book, I have tried to uncover the answers to many religious questions and the truth on the basis of discussion. Through explanations and analysis in the majority of the articles, the consciousness of readers has been endowed with the responsibility to find out the real truth. I would feel that my writings will success only when the readers will formulate their comments out of their conscience and publish them as the criticism of this book in newspapers and magazines. With awareness, I tried my best not to hurt someone for their sensitive feelings of religion. If in case the meanings of any words are seem too hard or aggressive to any readers, then I beg pardon to excuse me for my unwilling mistakes (expression).

The great artist and the great devastation
Many Muslim scholars say that the ‘day of resurrection’ would be before the sunset and after the evening prayer (Asor prayer). It means sometime between day and night. But in this age, it is well-known that when it is noon or dusk on one side of the earth, on the other side, it is midnight or morning. So for the whole population of the world, it is impossible to be dusk or morning in the same time. How can be the mentioned time of the doomsday right, which has been proclaimed?
In the past, man used to think the earth is like a flat land. So morning and dusk occur at the same time everywhere. On the basis of this assumption, perhaps the time of the doomsday was told as between the day and night. In our religious book, Quran, it is said that during the Day of Judgment, the moon, sun, stars, etc. would be broken into pieces. The sky would be smelted like the liquefied lead; mountains and hills would be thrown away as cotton. The ocean would be stormy and extremely destructive (Surah Infitar, ayat 1, 2, 3; Surah Taqbeer, ayat 1, 2, 3, 6; Surah Mursalat, ayat 8, 9, 10; Surah Ma’ariz, ayat 8, 9). From this description, it is understood that the universe would be destroyed.
Here, one thing can make many thoughtful. Yes, the doomsday can happen only on earth, as men live here. Man is polluting the earth in many ways. Perhaps it is desirable and possible that the world (earth) would be demolished one day. But the whole universe and the sun and moon of our solar system, where there is no living body and they are no land of sin, what is the reason for their annihilation? Sin is here. The people of the world commit sin, and why would the moon and sun be destroyed? One has committed sin and the other would be punished—is it justice? By the reasons of conscious, this is not fair. While it was mentioned that the universe would also be destroyed, it should have been rational to tell some detailed information about it.
Allah is a great artist and the joy of the artist is in his creation. The joy of the creation is the joy of satisfaction. And the feeling of satisfaction is the existence of the continual life. The existence of Allah is always incessant, alive, and busy. If Allah sits silently after creating all living beings and the cluster of matters and every being and substance (including chemistry, the splendor of the light, magnetism, etc.) are only moving straight continuously without any exception, the total creations of Allah would have been a big machine without any freedom. There would have been no novelty, no joy of creation or new appearances and the delight of the evolution. The whole universe would be a rigid space. It means the universe would survive only for the survival’s sake. He had no power of budding and production.
The great artist Allah, to make the inflexible and motionless state moving, has selected the role of destruction and death. If there is no destruction, the necessity of the creation is totally valueless. The name of the creation is the divine announcement of the existence. The meaning of the creation is the significance of living in the process of pleasure.
The great artist Allah is always active with the cheer of creation and destruction. Within the new creations and evolution lies his joy, his success, his envy, his love. Destruction or death is horror and awful to us, but in the eyes of the Creator, it is a duty. We suffer in unknown agony and mental disease as we can’t come back from the realm of death. But in the consideration of the Creator, death or perishing is only another change.
At the dawn of the human civilization, some humanist philosophers formulated theories about the total annihilation. If it happens, the arrangement of the basic (backbone or) discipline would have to be totally destroyed. But the possibility is very less. Indeed with this, the fright and terror of mankind know no end. But why such an intelligent man does not want to understand where there would be no existence of planets and stars, what is the use of then the antlike life of man?
From the research about the space of modern times, it is known that in any place of the universe, great destruction is taking place every moment. The rehearsals are also going on. Why we are so much afraid on earth? If there is a fright, why are so much greed, passion, envy, conspiracy and in which courage and on what interest are so many blueprints for the application of power to protect and increase the wealth?
2
Virtue, sin, and the question
In different religions, it is mentioned that virtue and sin would be weighed in a scale on the Day of Judgment. The good and the bad sides of the behavior of a person—these two are used as a comprehensible explanation. They are no matter, rather in the language of grammar, qualitative adjectives. They can’t be weighted in a scale. Many say, to explain the subject elaborately and clearly, metaphors have been used. The question is, hundreds of examples can be used with the help of metaphors for the clarifications, but why such a metaphor would be used, which has no similarity with the reality. Besides, if Creator wishes to make something lucid to the mankind, and if he thinks explaining it is his responsibility, why give then an indistinct or an example, which has no likeness with the reality? Does this present him as an all-knowing?
Creator could definitely say, virtue and sin would be transformed into stones or to similar products to weigh in the scales. But he has not said this. Besides, it could be so said, everybody’s virtue and sin would be counted numerically (1, 2, 3, 4); and subsequently, judgment would be given by additions-subtractions. So it is understood that the matter has been manufactured from the human conscious, but the expression is to some extent erratic. In old days, perhaps there was no system of counting for big numbers, which has caused problems in calculation. (Perhaps) this was the reason of such an explanation.
Virtue and sin are only two ideas about the qualities of good and bad. The religious preachers of the past used to think, except Allah, nobody could measure the difference of these two qualities; and hence, there was no substitute for it. The ancient people used to count with the unit, twenty
or through mouths. So from their own intelligence they have argued to weigh the virtue and sin. If we discuss the history of human civilization of those centuries of the past and the modern times, we see the developments of the civilization have happened step by step. From the wars, natural calamities, and the gradual experience and from the education, man has earned intelligence and knowledge. Only the religion did not play the main role for the education, experience, and formation of the moral character. There were worth mentioning contributions of the natural and moral qualities of the parent as well the roles of the experienced persons of the society, teachers, and the just kings and emperors.
After discussing on some of the last centuries and ages, it can be said that the behavior of human being was diversely classified on the basis of various qualities. For each quality, man has been decorated individually as wise, intelligent, scientific, just, clever, genius, etc. But in the ancient days, it was not a visible custom. To classify in this manner according to the qualities, different words were needed. A person who had many qualities, he was collectively given the title Wise of God. This wise man was also named as prophet in many areas by many communities.
These prophets, while preaching the ideology of religion, have attacked the (so-called) infidels or the followers of the different religions of their forefathers. Many prophets were killed under this allegation. Many ayats (verses) of Quran have such evidences (as in Surah Bakaraah, ayats 61, 87, and 91). In those days, the prophets were more intelligent than the other big persons of the communities. They were honest, gentle beneficiaries for the others, and applying many arguments and theories, etc., they became the center force of the society or respected as a special jewel. What decision they have taken from their own thoughts and conscious, out of mental delight, they have preached that as the message of God.
Man obtains his intelligence and conscious from the mercy or kindness of God.
When a common person pays respect and honor to a qualified person, he never argues or challenges the small errors of that personality. None is a rival to him. (The exceptions are neglected by the majority of the society.) In those societies of the past, whenever in the human mind a question came about day-to-day livelihood, he then said politely, Oh, the prophet of the religion, what I can do in this matter?
Or Why this rule is such? Please give me right advice, etc.
Under the circumstances, the prophet has convinced the person from the good examples of his own life. Who was smart and asked a silly question, he was told that such questioning was beyond the rule of Allah. It was not allowed. Or when someone’s power of faith (Imaan) was weak, he asked such stupid questions. To say so or to remember is a grave sin. It was further said you swear in the name of Allah and admit your sin (Tawba) because Satan was uprooting the pillar of your faith.
Besides, while to the questioner’s face, the group of great devotees with angry blood-red eyes looked, he became nervous. He became scared of. (He was afraid because he thought anytime he could be beheaded by the hit of a sword.) He then immediately withdrew his question. Everybody thought such questioner or a person with a firm character was a member of the opposition. Sometimes when the rebel belonged to an influential community with strong persons, he was not provoked or misbehaved so that the questioner remained in the group. As answers to hard questions, the extreme religion followers (Sahabis) used to say, Those were the dialogues of the nonbelievers and infidels. These kinds of questions are not tolerated here.
In reality, none knew the answer. To avoid the questions, many pleas, diplomacies, and tactics were applied. This was the reality.

In the sea of terror
It seems, after observing the influence of Quran hadith, if Allah could become so much aspirant of getting the bow or obedience (prayer) of mankind whose stomach is full of secretion and urine, why can someone not become a beggar also to get a woman’s love having the same contents in her stomach? What is wrong in it?
In each Friday (weekly Jummah Prayer), while I listen to long speeches and various advices, my mind becomes inactive. For example, when the angel Azrail (angel of death) would come to kill me on sharp time (by order of Allah), even if I humbly appeal to the Angel to do this little late/later (for example 5 seconds later) I would not get it. If our Prime Minister of the country would make a similar appeal (to the death angel) for a few seconds, would Azrail agree to it? No, never. Death and the order of Allah is firm and dangerous. It can’t belated even for one hundredth of a second! You may be the head of a government or the president of America, the death angel ‘Azrail’ does not care about it. Your life would be taken just in time without any lingering. None would be given any privilege.
While Mr. Imam (leader of the Friday prayer) gives the lecture, he quotes from Quran or hadith to strengthen and stiffen his declaration. As if it could not be broken by the hit of a ten-kilogram hammer! Modern medicine and physiology have discovered how the human brain, heart, liver, lungs, etc., work. The truths behind them have been found out. If a man is weak or he is attacked with a serious disease, how and why the organs of his body become nonworking, and he becomes much tired and takes long breaths—all of these can be explained now in details.
During death, the organs become motionless, and before the final moment, various sounds are heard. Reasons are known now. Hiccups occur in the windpipe and lung inflammation appears. The valve of the heart and the circulation of blood in veins are shrunken and extended. As a result, according to the condition of the patient and nature of the disease, man faces various miseries. Many undergo little; many endure much. None can deter this suffering. It is a flow of natural system created by the God. The medical science has proved it through tests. Therefore, morphine injection has been discovered to reduce such pain. So there is no dangerous role of Azrail here that he snatches away the liver and kills. If these matters sit as terror on someone’s mind, his sufferings are supposed to be much more.
As Mr. Imam (prayer leader) are against the modern science, they threaten the dying and insert in their mind more fright and danger. After a small cough, Mr. Imam further says, We are very busy with earthly matters, but the grave calls us every day. Oh, the mortal son of Adam, don’t walk with so much audacity! Can you not remember me once? On the contrary, I remember you each day, ten times before and ten times after the five daily prayers.
The imam of the mosque preaches these matters with various spices of terror. As he cries and speaks aloud (as if his heart is ragged!), it seems he has personally observed all these scenes just a while ago! Or he has put his ear on a grave and heard such dialogues. But until the doomsday, they would not be able to present single evidence about it. By the terrible description and body language of the imam, the prayer patroness becomes more scared. After the prayer, they come out from the mosque and recite repeatedly the names of Allah. In this way, each week, the clergy only sinks the human minds in the sea of horror. I ask in my mind, What is the enmity between merciful Allah and a common person?
4
The way to dispel sin
The Kaaba in the city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia was built by an honest and pious person named Hazrat Abraham (peace upon him). He used to meditate sitting in this house and investigate the mystery of the creation. It is a house made by a man. Allah has not built it with his own hand (but he has created or made so many things on earth: river, mountain, tree, soil, water, lake, stream, cave, forest of the animals, like so many innumerable things and places). If anybody prays sitting in this man-made house, his prayer is granted. And if anybody walks around it (circumambulation), it is considered as hajj, and sin is dispelled. Likewise, if prayer is made in all the mosques of the world, it is granted. These mosques are also considered as holy places and houses of Allah. If they are believed to be in the houses of Allah and prayers are granted, then why, if anyone walks around them, it would not be accepted as hajj?
In the past, men and women used to walk around (circumambulation) this house of Kaaba almost naked,(*) which was a tradition. Subsequently, some years before the birth of the prophet Muhammad (peace upon him), that custom was annulled, and a rule was issued that while walking around, persons would only wear clothes, such as white shroud. I wonder how (after few thousand years) Allah could feel it is a matter of shame to walk naked around the Kaaba.
At the end, this system was introduced; henceforth, walking must be while only wearing white shroud like clothes. If it was so, human beings would doubt the fame and the publicity of Allah as most wise
and having endless intelligence and genius. It would sow the seed of blasphemy.
Slave Hagar was given as a gift to Hazrat Abraham (pious man) by the then-rich emperor of Egypt. What is
