About this ebook

This is a book that discusses and researches all the good, bad, and ugly that goes on in our educational system in America. There is so much corruption, prejudice, politics, and discrimination which make up our educational system. Education is our key to success, but many people who run our educational system make it our road to hell. I have had some of the best teachers in education, and Ive been blessed to have a few good managers in education for over twenty years, but the truth still remains education as we know it today needs a serious face lift and it need to be reconstructed in a way where people can learn, and
employees will not feel threatened, or less than human.

Michael currently works for one of the federally funded TRiO programs born out of the civil rights movement in 1960. The program he works for is called the Educational Opportunity Center, which was one of the Trio programs established in 1972 during the higher education amendments. This is a program that target adults who are 19 years of age or older from low-income families and first generation college students on the west side of Chicago. His position has taken him on several conferences, and has written a proposal to present at a few. In this program, he has frequently visited boot camps, alternative High schools, correctional centers, and community organizations. In addition, out of this program he coordinated and founded a symposium and called it “The Day of the Black Man”, which encouraged African American males to go on to college, and take charge of their lives as leaders in their community.

This book is dedicated to all of the hard working honest and fair people who work in education. It is a book that will shed a light on all the wrong doing, unfairness, and misguided behavior that goes on in education. I have been blessed to have some incredible teachers in education, and a few incredible managers in education, but I have learned from experience if you are a person who have morals, values, and really care about the people and the students, you do not last for long. Either an administrator will run you away, or you will get sick and tired of being sick and tired and leave on your own. A quality education is so important and I truly believe we need people who care about other people. This country’s educational system is fading, and becoming extremely corrupt with discrimination, politics, harassment, and all matter of wickedness. Education should be a place where a person can learn and grow, but instead it has become a place of horror. I hope my readers take something from this book, and become an even better educator, mentor, teacher, or administrator.

We have so many lost children in the world, therefore we need the most caring, and empathetic people possible working in education. I do not care about a person’s degree, because as you will learn from reading these chapters a degree does not make you an ethical person. Many fools are known for going to college, and earning all types of degrees, but will kill, still, cheat, lie, and set out to destroy people lives. Are these people even worthy of a degree, because they sat in a class room? I bet if an education was free we would be more selective about who we would let earn a degree. The system is the reason we have so many corrupt people working in education, because we really do not do a serious screening on anybody, however if we find out they have a felony, they are out. There are multitudes of people in this country who do not have a felony, but work in education and commit all types of crime. Nothing ever happens to these people, because someone always has their backs. What makes these people any better than those who commit felonies on the street. We are placed in education to serve the people, and to uphold the constitution, and the EEOC rules that all people should be treated equal, but they are not in education. Malcolm X said Education is our passport to the future and tomorrow belongs to the people who prepare for it today. If education is our passport someone is going to have to help people obtain that passport, and the only people who could do that are compassionate, patient, concerned for others, unselfish, and able to be trusted. In education we are paying people less to do more work, while we pay others more to do less work. The cries of part time workers in education are evident, and hopefully their cries will eventually reach the ears of someone who care. People who get paid well in administration positions live on earth in luxury and self-indulgence and continue to want for
