About this ebook
Thomas Stewart
"Thomas Stewart is 21 years old with a fascination with the art of terror and the macabre. When he's not watching horror movies, or reading horror novels or stories, he's always crafting his own chilling gospels of horror to terrify and eternally rob you of a peaceful slumber. Currently he publishes most his work to Reddit under his pen name "Corpse Child". Many of his horror stories have been featured and adapted to audio narrations by a wide variety of YouTube narrators - including some of the bigger names in the field - as well as the ones commissioned on the ChillingApp and was featured in the debut issue of IllAdvised Records' "The Dark Door" E-zine and now is the in-house author and artist for the horror magazine, "Eidetic Quarterly". You can follow him for more of his work through his Facebook and his SubReddit; "r/CorpseChildGospels" as well as purchasing a copy of his books, "Damned Whispers" and "The Other Side" on Amazon.

In the Remembrance of My Grandmother, Lillie France Callahan

A Message from the Author
This story took place during the time I was a young boy of five or six. The story is one that was memorable and one of inspiration that compelled me to write of my experience of traveling to see my family who lived in the foothills of Sand Mountain, Alabama. On this particular Sunday-morning journey, I thought I was someone special; however, I came back home with the feeling of being a nobody. I left knowing that I was part of my grandmother’s family that lived in the foothills of Sand Mountain in Alabama. The love, hospitality, and humility that they showed me inspired me beyond all measure. My family was poor, and even though they had nothing, they were still very happy with the simple things of life and by being themselves. Fifty years later, as I sat on the beach in Gulf Shores, Alabama, I recalled this story in my mind as the waves rolled onto the shore and washed away with the tide.
Acknowledgment
This story would not be possible without the help of my family and friends who have given me the encouragement and support to write this story about my grandmother’s family who lived in the foothills of Sand Mountain, Alabama. I would love to give thanks to my daughter-in-law Briana Stewart and Robin Toll for their countless hours
