All stories start somewhere and this one starts after the crucifixion of the Lord Jesus Christ and then takes you quickly through time to the 1900’s. Then in the year 1910, an expedition financed by a group of wealthy Germans to Antarctica finds ancient devices that they believe to be alien technology. Then ten years later, an ancient book is found in the Vatican underground catacombs that contains lost information about Earth’s hidden past is revealed to the same group of wealthy men. The group then sends expeditions all around the world to the different sites described in the book to try and locate more ancient technology. Only one of the sites contains alien technology that is then taken back to Germany to be studied. The technology is kept a secret from the world and only a hand full of people know that it exists. Then shortly before the war ends in Europe the Organization is discovered and most of the people who know about alien deices are taken to the United States to work on the atomic bomb. One of the people that knows about the devices is Hans Smitz, he then becomes the leader of the Organization. After the war, Smitz changes his name to John Smith and he goes on one more expedition to look for more alien technology, but ends up finding lost relics from Jesus Christ’s crucifixion. The discovery is kept a secret and Smith is the only person that knows what was found. Then as time goes by one of the alien devices is reverse engineered and it reveals Earths hidden past. Most of the technology that we use today was later developed from the devices and machines.

THE END of the OLD AGE

    Chapter One

    THE BLOOD

    IN THE YEAR 17 A.D.

It is springtime in the port city of Joppa, in the country of Judah. A young man named Jesus, Son of Joseph arrives at the waterfront early in the morning at the cities port; he then goes abroad a merchant ship that is ready to set sail for Cyprus. The young man will be sailing on a ship that his uncle, Joseph of Arimathaea owns, a rich tin merchant. The ship will begin its voyage today and this will be the young man’s first sea voyage. The ship will travel throughout the Mediterranean Sea and the coast of Europe trading tin and other precious metals. The young man stays on the ship for the next twelve years, he then returns in the year twenty-seven A.D. to his home town of Nazareth.

    IN THE YEAR 30 A.D.

During the next three years, Jesus, son of GOD spends his time in the land around the Sea of Galilee quietly working as a traveling carpenter and teaching the word of GOD to the children of Galilee. Then after a couple years, Jesus begins to live his well-publicized and much studied life. During this time, Jesus often used a cave on top of a hill, just outside of the village of Cana to teach his chosen disciples the hidden mysteries of Heaven. Later on, Jesus would use the hill to feed multitudes of people and heal the afflictions of the people who believed and had faith in him. The owner of the land around the hill, Epenetus is one of the young leaders of Cana and he becomes one of Jesus of Nazareth’s early believers. When Jesus and his disciples traveled throughout the countryside to spread his message through the land, Jesus would entrust Epenetus with the writings that his disciples had copied down from his teachings and parables.

The day that Jesus Christ was crucified, Epenetus was there in Jerusalem and he was an eyewitness to the crucifixion. After the body of Jesus Christ was removed from the cross and taken away by Joseph of Arimathaea. The Roman centurion in charge of the crucifixion announces to the crowd that the belongings of the crucified men would be auctioned off to the highest bidder. This is when Epenetus remembers what Jesus had told him; he told Epenetus to never allow his belongings to become things of worship or idolatry. Epenetus spends all of his money and he buys all of Jesus Christ’s belongings and some of the other items that he can get from the crucifixion. Then Epenetus takes Jesus Christ’s few personal belongings and some of the other items from his crucifixion that he bought from the Roman centurions back to his village of Cana. Then Epenetus hides Jesus Christ’s belongings with his disciple’s writings. Then as time goes by, Epenetus becomes one of the early leaders of the new Christian religion and he turns his home into the first Christian church in Israel. After many years of hard work, Epenetus turns the cave on the hill into his own private memorial to Jesus Christ’s life. The relics from Jesus Christ’s crucifixion where then hidden within the cave church and Epenetus never tells anyone about the cave, not even his wife.

    IN THE YEAR 40 A.D.

Ten years after the death of Jesus Christ on the cross, the Roman Christians in Rome are now being accused by the Roman Senate of causing unrest in the streets of Rome and plotting a revolt against Augustus and the Roman Emperors authority. During this time in history many Roman citizens and gentiles in the Roman Empire where being converted from their old pagan gods to Christianity. At the same time, the Roman Senate is in need of money to fund their army and fearing the spread of Christianity, the Roman Senate devises a plan to take advantage of the new Roman Christians. The Roman Senate issues a new law decreeing that if any Roman citizen is caught practicing or teaching Christianity they will be crucified and their property will be given to the Roman Empire. This is where a Roman Senator first used the old saying, kill two birds with one stone. After just a few years, thousands of Roman Christians are killed or sold into slavery and their property seized by the Roman Senate all around the Roman Empire.

    IN THE YEAR 56 A.D

The Jewish temple in Jerusalem is ordered to be torn down by the Roman Governor after a revolt by a group of Judeans. The Roman Governor had ordered that taxes be increased and many people were being taken into slavery to pay their taxes. The revolt ended with the temple being torn down and the end of the nation of Judea for the next two thousand years. The remaining people in the country are slowly dispersed throughout the world for the next two thousand years.

    Chapter Two

    THE NEW LAW

    IN THE YEAR 70 A.D.

The new Roman Emperor Nero comes into power at this time and he is in need of funds for his own personal use. This is when Nero goes to the Roman Senate for funds; they suggest to Nero that he use an old law outlawing Christianity to raise funds. After considering the ideal, Nero then makes it illegal in the whole Roman Empire to practice or teach Christianity. Then Nero also orders that the Christian followers captured should be killed by crucifixion or brought to Rome and used in the coliseum.

During this time, the Roman General named Felix Trivoli is the Governor of Palestine. The General is at his palace in Jerusalem and he has just finished reading a letter from his younger brother. The General has just learned that his father has died and he has inherited his father’s large estate in Rome. The General now needs to go to Rome to claim his inheritance; he is hoping to leave Palestine as soon as possible to settle his father’s estate back in Rome. The General decides to send two of his Centurions to the port city of Jobba to wait for the next ship to arrive that will be sailing back to Rome. After a couple of weeks, the two Centurions return to Jerusalem and go directly to the Governors Palace to inform the General that a ship has arrived in Jobba and will be returning to Rome in a few weeks. After the General hears the news, he then orders his personal guard to be ready the next day to travel to Jobba.

Early in the morning, the General and his personal guard leave the palace on horseback and ride to Jobba. The next day, General Trivoli and his men arrive in Jobba and then he goes to see the Captain of the Roman garrison who is in charge of the city, Tyrus Giannetti, he is a rich Roman citizen. Once the General arrives at Giannetti’s palace, Giannetti gives orders to his servants to prepare a feast for General Trivoli and his men and show the Generals men their sleeping quarters. While Giannetti takes the General to his sleeping quarters, Giannetti tells him that another ship from Rome had arrived in Jobba during the night and a Roman courier sent by the Roman Senate is aboard the ship with important orders for the General. The General then orders three of his men to bring the courier and the ship’s Captain to the palace.

Later in the day, the Generals three men bring back the courier and the Captain of the ship to the palace. The General sees the courier first and he receives a sealed papyrus scroll from the courier with the official seal of the new Roman Emperor Nero, sealing the contents of the scroll. The General realizes that the scroll is a couple months old and possible very important, so he takes the scroll immediately to his private chambers to read. After breaking the seal and reading the scroll, he learns that they are new orders from the new Emperor of Rome, Nero. The General has received orders from Emperor Nero outlawing the Christian religion in Palestine and the new tax laws. The General is not very happy with the timing of the orders; he realizes that he might need to postpone leaving Palestine. The orders instruct the General to begin immediately using any means that he feels necessary to accomplish these orders. The General also receives the Roman Senates official approval of the new law issued by Nero; that outlaws all forms of Christianity in the Roman Empire. The new law states that any person discovered to be a Christian will be killed by crucifixion or sold into slavery along with their whole family. The law also allows the Roman Empire to confiscate any property or wealth from the Christians. The new tax laws are also included and the General is also ordered to begin enforcing the new laws as soon as he receives them. The General has dealt with a few minor issues between the Christians and the Jews in Jerusalem, but they have not given him any serious trouble in the past. The General believes that he already has an ideal how to get the information that he will need to enforce the new law. The General then locks the letters in his traveling trunk and then he goes back into the other room where the ship’s Captain is waiting for him.

After being introduced to each other, the General learns that the Captain’s name is Val Maritus, a Roman merchant trader. The General asks Captain Martitus if he minds answering a few simple questions. Maritus agrees and he says, Okay. Then Trivoli says, When are you planning to leave Jobba, Captain Martitus? Maritus then says, We went through a very bad storm and the ship will need a few minor repairs before setting sail again. Then Trivoli says, How long will that take? Maritus says, I figure the work will probably take a couple of weeks to be completed. Trivoli then says, Where are you sailing to next? Captain Maritus says, Back to Rome with a load of olive oil. Then Trivoli says, Would you be interested in taking a passenger to Rome? Captain Maritus then says, Who is the passenger? Then Trivoli says, I need to go to Rome. Captain Maritus thinks for a moment and he says, Yes, I have extra room for a passenger. Then the two men talk over the price and once Captain Maritus agrees on ten pieces gold, Trivoli says, I will pay you half now and the rest when we arrive in Rome. Captain Maritus agrees to the deal and Trivoli hands five gold coins to Captain Maritus. Then Trivoli says, When you are ready to sail, send a messenger to my palace in Jerusalem. Captain Maritus agrees and then he says, I have some important business to take care of today, is there anything else, Governor? Then Trivoli says, That is it, for now Captain Maritus. The two men shake hands and then Captain Maritus leaves the palace.

The next day, General Trivoli leaves Jobba and he goes back to his palace in Jerusalem. Once the General arrives back in Jerusalem, he begins making plans to enforce the new laws that he has received from Rome. The General sends out messengers to every one of his Captains to the Centurions with orders for them to report to his palace in Jerusalem as soon as possible. The next couple of days, the General spends most of his time working on a plan of attack with his personal staff at the palace. He devises a plan to round up as many Christian leaders as quickly as possible throughout the whole country. The Generals first action that he takes is to give orders to the leader of his ring of spies to start gathering information on the places where the Christian followers worship. The General is hoping to not create a long-term conflict and he feels the best way to avoid that situation would be to eliminate the Christian leadership, first. The General and his staff have also come up with a plan that will use the Jewish people. The General believes the Jews will gladly tell his centurions the identities of the Christian leaders. The plan calls for his centurions to arrest some of the local Jewish people in the towns and villages throughout the country and then accuse them of being Christians, then threaten them with death if they do not cooperate. The General is hoping that the Jews would give up the names of the Christians a lot easier than trying to find Christians who would give up their own people. The General is confident that by the time, the ship is ready to sail for Rome, the operation should be underway and when he returns to Palestine, the Christian religion will be just a distant memory in Palestine.

The next week, the Generals Captains to the Centurions begin arriving at the Generals palace. The General has arranged for food, lodging and entertainment for the men during their stay at his palace. At the end of the week, all of the Captains to the Centurions have arrived at the palace and the General then announces to the men that he has arranged for a large banquet for them the following day. The General will use the banquet to announce to the Captains to the Centurions, the new law that he has received from Rome and to tell his men the plans that he has come up with to stop the Christian religion died in its tracks.

During the banquet, the General announces to his Captains the plan that he and his staff have come up with and then he tells the men that he wants the Christian religion silenced as quickly as possible. The Generals Captains all agree to make their first attacks on the Christian leadership and also try to take some of them as prisoners. The General then tells his Captains to make their first attacks as brutal as they can on the remaining Christians and that should leave a long lasting effect on the remaining followers that may try to go into hiding.

The General then informs the Captains that he will be leaving for Rome in the next couple of days and he will be returning in a few months. Then the General tells his men that he will be putting Alexi Marak in charge of the army while he is in Rome. The General is very confident that Captain Marek can handle the situation while he is in Rome. Captain Marek has been the Generals Captain of his personal Centurions for the last five years. A common Roman soldier when he joined the Roman army, Marek has risen to the rank of Captain to the Governors Centurions, being an obedient and trustworthy soldier.

During the banquet, a young servant girl named Joan who works at the palace has been serving wine and food at the banquet for the Captains of the Centurions and she has over heard General Trivoli talking about his plans to kill the Christian leaders and the new Roman law. Joan is from a very large Christian family and she realizes that all of the followers of Christianity in Palestine are in great danger. Joan decides that she needs to warn her family, so she secretly leaves the palace later on that night to warn the Christian leaders in Jerusalem. Joan is hoping that she will be able to get someone to help her to return to her home, so that she can warn her family in Cana about what the Romans are planning.

After sneaking out of the palace later that night, Joan travels to the home of a Christian Pastor named Urbane that lives in Jerusalem. Once Joan arrives at the Pastor’s home, she tells Pastor Urbane everything that she has learned. After hearing what is about to happen, the Pastor leaves early in the morning to warn his congregation. Joan then stays at the Pastors home until he can arrange for safe passage out of Jerusalem. A couple of days later, Joan travels with Pastor Urbane to a house just outside of Jerusalem, where a young Priest named Jothen lives. After learning what is about to happen, Jothen decides to go with Joan, so that he can warn the other Christian leaders in the countryside as they travel to Joan’s village in Cana. After taking care of Joan’s safe escape from Jerusalem, Pastor Urbane then goes back to Jerusalem and he sends out messengers to warn the Christian leaders in the other Christian communities in the area. After the Christian leaders learn about the new Roman law, they realize the dangerous situation. Many of the Christian leaders go into hiding, after warning their congregation about the new Roman law. Most of the people have no other place to go and start making plans to protect themselves.

The day after the banquet, General Trivoli calls a final strategy meeting with his all of his Captains of the Centurions to discuss some of the minor details to his plan. The General tells his men that he has people working right now to learn the names of the Christian leaders and the places where they worship. The General goes on to say that once he receives the names and places where the Christians meet, the information will be sent to them. The General then tells the men to begin rounding up some of the Jews in Jerusalem, then accuse them of being Christians and see if they will give up more names of the Christians. The Captains to the Centurions all feel pretty confident that the operation should be over in just a few months. The next day, the Captain of the Centurions leave the palace to return to their own districts to begin the operation.

A few days later, General Trivoli is secretly meeting early in the morning with one of his spies, at the palace in Jerusalem. After questioning the man, the General learns that the Christian leaders must have been tipped-off by someone working at the palace. The spy tells the General that many of the well-known Christian leaders in Jerusalem have suddenly gone into hiding or have left the city. The General realizes that his plans must have been found out and the element of surprise is probably gone, he also realizes this will make the operation more difficult.

After the spy leaves the palace, General Trivoli sends a messenger to find Captain Marek and tell him to come to the palace. Later in the morning, Marek arrives at the Generals palace and he is taken directly to see General Trivoli. The General takes Captain Marek into his private chambers to talk with him privately. The General only tells Captain Marek to go find out if any of the palace workers are missing. Then Captain Marek leaves to go find the answer to the Generals question. The Captain does not understand why General Trivoli wants to know this, but he does not dare question the Generals orders.

Later on that same day, a messenger that was sent by Captain Martitus arrives at General Trivoli’s palace in Jerusalem. The messenger is brought to the Generals personal guards and the messenger gives the guards a scroll. The scroll is then taken to the General, who is in his private chambers. After reading the scroll, General Trivoli learns that the ship will be ready to sail in five days. After learning that the ship is almost ready to sail, the General sends a messenger for Captain Marek to report to him. When Marek arrives at the Generals chambers, a palace guard takes him to the Generals private chambers to talk privately with the General. The General is sitting at the front of a large wooden table when Captain Marek walks into the room and then Trivoli says, Come seat down, Captain. Marek sits down and then Trivoli says, What have you found out? Marek says, Seven servants and five gardeners are missing today, sir. Then Trivoli says, Most likely they are Christians. Then Trivoli says, I would like to see this business with the Christians taken care of as soon as possible, Captain. Captain Marek understands the reason for his orders now and he says, I will have your prison full of Christian dogs by the time you return, General. Then the General thinks that would be nice to see and then he says, I will be leaving in two days for Rome and you will need this information. Then the General pushes across the table a scroll to Captain Marek and then Trivoli says, This will help you, Captain. Marek looks over the scroll and he says, A list of the names? Then Trivoli says, Yes, the names of the Christian leaders and some their followers in Jerusalem. Then Marek says, I will send my men out to find these people immediately, sir. Then Trivoli says, Good, do you have any questions? Marek says, No sir. The General thinks for a moment and then he says, Captain Marek, I want you to keep me informed of your progress while I am in Rome. Marek says, I will, sir. Then Trivoli says, I hope to be back in three months and after I return, we can finish the job. Then Trivoli says, I am sure you have a lot to do, Captain Marek. Marek then says, Yes, I need to inform my men. Then Trivoli says, Good luck, Captain Marek . Then General Trivoli dismisses Captain Marek. Captain Marek leaves the palace thinking this is his big opportunity and he is thinking that before the General returns to Palestine, he wants to be known back in Rome as a man who gets results. In the next of couple of days, many Christian families are taken into custody in Jerusalem. The General leaves for Rome and the campaign against the Christians begins throughout the whole country of Palestine.

After arresting hundreds of Jewish men for being a Christian or not paying taxes, Captain Marek begins to receive thousands of names of Christian leaders and their followers. In the next couple of weeks, thousands of people are arrested throughout the land and taken to prison and questioned. The Christians who cooperate with the Romans are put into prison and later they will be used in the coliseum in Rome. The Christians who do not cooperate are tortured and then killed by crucifixion with their bodies left to rot on the cross for everyone to see Roman authority.

In the meanwhile, Joan and Jothen are about twenty miles away from the village of Cana. The day before, an old shepherd that was tending to his sheep, told them that the Roman soldiers have not attacked her village. Joan was relieved to hear the good news, because she had been worried that they would arrive too late to warn her family. The trip has taken ten days, because they had to travel through the countryside during the night and hide during the day from the Roman soldiers. The Roman soldiers have been patrolling the roads during the day and night, with orders to question and arrest all the Hebrew-speaking people that are traveling on the roads. After hearing what the old shepherd had said the day before, Joan and Jothen, both feel safe enough to walk the rest of the way to Cana during the day if they have too. The two have walked all night long and they have finally reached the outskirts of Cana a little after sunrise. After walking around a large hill just outside of Cana, Joan points at a small church and then she says, That is where my grandfather lives, he will know what to do. Then Jothen says, I sure hope so. Then Joan says, Look Jothen, it looks like my grandfather is awake. Jothen says, Yes, I see the light shining in the window. Then Joan says, Let’s hurry up.

Joan’s grandfathers name is Epenetus, the same man who had bought the sacred relics from the Roman centurions, after they had crucified Jesus Christ. A very old man now, Epenetus has kept his word to Jesus Christ all of these years; he had promised Jesus that he would not tell anyone about the relics or allow them to be used for idol worship. The last forty years, Epenetus has dedicated his life to teaching the words spoken by the SON OF GOD at his church in Cana.

After a short walk, Joan and Jothen arrive at the front gate to the church and they walk up to the front door. Joan knocks very hard on the door and she says, My grandfather is a little hard of hearing. A short time later, Epenetus opens the door and he is very surprised to see Joan standing in front of him, he then says, Is that you Joan? Then Joan says, Yes grandfather, it is I. Epenetus then says, Come in my children. Joan and Jothen walk into the church and then Epenetus says, I thought you were in Jerusalem? Joan says, I was grandfather, but I have come to warn you and the rest of the people of Cana about the new Roman law. Joan pauses for a moment and then she says, The Romans have made Christianity a crime. Epenetus has just woken up and is not quite awake and he says, Slow down my child. Then Epenetus says, Who is this man, Joan? Joan says, Pastor Jothen, Pastor Urbane sent me to him; he helped me to get here safely. Epenetus looks at Jothen and he says, Pastor Jothen, who is your father? Jothen says, My heavenly father or my earthly father? Epenetus laughs and then he says, Spoken like a true believer, good to meet you, Pastor Jothen. Then Jothen says, I have heard so much about you, Master, but right now, we need to tell you what is happening all across the country. Epenetus realizes that something is very wrong and he says, What is troubling you my child? Joan does not hesitate and she says, The Romans have a new Emperor named Nero and he has made a new law outlawing Christianity and they have already begun crucifying Christians in Jerusalem. Epenetus thinks for a moment and then he says, Outlawing Christianity, crucifying Christians. Epenetus then says, The Son of God warned us that there would come a time when our faith would be tested, maybe this is the time. Then Epenetus says, Come with me, I need to sit down. The three of them walk into the kitchen and they sit down at a wooden table. Then Joan begins telling Epenetus everything that she had heard General Trivoli tell his men at the banquet. After Joan has finished telling Epenetus what she knows, they both tell Epenetus what they have seen while traveling to Cana from Jerusalem. After hearing their story, Epenetus realizes that everyone in the village is in great danger. Epenetus then says, We need to warn the other elders in the village. Then Jothen says, How many Christians live in Cana? Epenetus says, Almost all of the villagers and people living in the area have been converted to Christianity. Jothen then says, Pastor Urbane told me there where many brethren in Cana. Epenetus then proudly says, The people living in and around Cana are some of the earliest and oldest followers of Jesus, the Son of God. Then Joan says, My grandfather was the first person in the village to recognize that Jesus was the Son of God, Jothen. Jothen then smiles at Joan and he then says, And the oldest and wisest I was also told. Then Epenetus says, I think we should go, we can talk more while we walk to town". The three then leave Epenetus’s church and they start walking to town. The town of Cana is about a mile away.

On the way to the village, Epenetus says, Some of the older men and women in the village where eyewitnesses when Jesus made wine out of water and the miraculous healings that Jesus performed for the unbelieving souls. Then Epenetus says, During those days, Jesus Christ’s fame spread throughout the country and everybody believed for a time. Then after a few minutes of silence, Epenetus begins to tell Joan and Jothen The Beatitudes a story that Jesus had taught on the hill, right behind his church. After telling the story, Epenetus stops walking to take a short break and then Jothen says, Like it was written, the servant is not greater than the Lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you. Then Epenetus says, Yes, Jesus did forewarn his Disciples and followers that could happen one day to them. Then Joan, who is about ready to start crying says, I will never renounce my faith in Jesus Christ, grandfather. Then
