I had originally started writing as a way of documenting my odd dreams. Then it all changed when I started writing for my own child. That’s when the “crazy” came out. My writing is part dream world, fantasy, and romance (highly edited for younger readers) I write not because it’s my “job” or because I have a hidden desire to be famous. I write because it makes me happy to have my own child question my stories, ask questions and make me think. How can I make this better more entertaining? How can I convey a ray of emotions in an entertaining way? It may work or it may fail, but at least I got my child to smile.

CELESTA: PART ONE

Celesta hurry up or we’ll miss the last ship! Said doctor Diana leading a group of children up a narrow flight of stairs.

Where are we going? Why do we have to leave the research lab? Mrs. Diana, Mrs. Diana?! Called out a young Celesta running up the stairs trying to keep up with the other girls.

It’s doctor Diana and please keep up with the other girls Celesta, same goes for you Ariel. Said Diana pulling Celesta and the other girls arm back to the line of girls.

Where are we going, doctor? Asked Ariel, looking at the other girls who were staring up at the huge silver ship in front of them.

Please everyone listen we don’t have much time. See the big metal ship behind me. Said doctor Diana pointing behind her. That’s a transport ship, it’s going to take us to one of the arks. The arks are currently orbiting our planet. We need to get on one so we can survive.

Survive what? Its not like our planet is dying, and our sun is four hundred generations away from going super nova. So why? Asked Ariel arms crossed in front of her chest.

Thats true, but do to the discovery of a new life barring galaxy being so close to ours the governments decided to make earth a prison planet. Meaning… said Diana interrupted by Celesta.

Meaning that all normal citizens and every being have to leave the planet or be left to die as the planet is flooded by criminals from all over the known galaxy. Said Celesta with a smile.

That is correct, Celesta! Now everyone stay together. We must board as a group or you’ll be left behind and wont get a second chance at leaving. Now, follow me! Said doctor Diana turning and leading the way.

Halt! Name and destination! Said a soldier stopping the group from entering the transport ship.

I am Doctor Diana Mayville. I am part of the Alexander Institute of Scientology! This is the last group of children to be transported to starship Cronus. Said doctor Diana. It is imperative that we get to the ship as soon as possible!

Yes, yes we’re contacting the pilot now! Said the guard. You and the girls are cleared to go. Proceed to level three gate nine. There will be someone waiting to receive you there. Have a good day!

What was that all about? Thought Celesta following doctor Diana, just like the other girls.

The ship will be leaving in ten minutes! Chimed a women’s voice over the intercom system.

Common girls everyone into the elevator! Said doctor Diana pushing the girls in making sure no one was left behind.

Please state level and gate numbers, please! Chimed a voice when the elevator doors shut.

Level three, gate nine! Said doctor Diana as a whirling sound began. Hold on girls the elevator is about to go!

Hold onto what? There’s no railing! called out a few girls clinging to each other.

Suddenly the elevator chimed and stopped. You have arrived at level three gate nine, have a good day!

Doctor Diana, we’ve been expecting you and the girls. This way please! Said a tall skinny man wearing glasses. The captain is holding until you and the girls are seated.

Following the strange man and Dr. Diana the girls began to feel strange and sleepy. What’s going on? Called Dr. Diana’s voice. What have you done to the girls?!

Don’t worry, Diana! The girls are fine, I’ve just had them put to sleep. There are four stops before we get to starship Cronus. Said a man standing in front of a bright light.

Doctor Maru?! Asked Dr. Diana shielding her eyes from the bright light.

Yes! Replied Maru stepping out of the light letting lab techs gather up the girls. This is for there own safety, Diana. Trust me!

Doctor Maru, has my father reached Cronus yet? Asked Diana following Maru and the lab techs.

No! He chose to supervise the data transfer! He should be boarding his transport ship in three hours. Said Dr. Maru checking his watch for the time. Looking up to see Diana’s face Dr. Maru added. Your father is our top geneticist! He will make that flight, I’m sure of it! Now, go rest for a few hours. We’’ll begin with the physical examinations of the girls when we reach Cronus.

Very well Dr. Maru, I’ll see you and the team in a few hours. Rest well! Said Diana following one of the ships many stewards.

Dr. Maru, Diana’s father just had a heart attack and died! Shouldn’t we tell her? Asked a young man in a white lab coat.

No, Alexander! We’’ll tell her after the Cronus has gotten under way. We can’t afford an incident at this stage of development. Said Dr. Maru continuing to walk down the long corridors of the transport ship. David, don’t let it slip to anyone what’s happened to Dr. Coleman!

Of corse, Dr. Maru! Said David returning to his previous tasks.

How are the examinations of the girls going? Asked Dr. Diana walking into the medical floor of the transport ship.

The girls are perfect. No genetic anonymously! The nanites are adjusting for the lighter gravity so the girls should feel comfortable when they wake. Said one of the many lab techs holding and typing away on a tablet.

Any word on my father? Asked Diana. Did he finnish the data transport? Did he make the transport ship? David?!

I’m sorry Dr. Diana, but I haven’t left the medical floor for several hours! Said David putting down his data devise. You’d be better off talking to Dr. Maru on that matter. After all he is in charge of the project, and keeps tabs on everyone!

David what’s going on?! Said Diana picking up the data device. David, what is the meaning of this?

I’m sorry Dr. Diana but this is out of our control! Said David unconsciously taking three steps back. You need to take this up with Dr. Maru! I, we have no control over what happens with the girls.

My fathers in charge of the project not Dr. Maru! Said Diana closing the gap between the two. David, did something happen to my father?

Y-you need to talk to Dr. Maru! Said David taking another couple of steps backward. Please Diana, I can’t say anything. Dr. Maru’s been acting strange! Please just talk to him, and don’t mention me.

Alright David, where is Dr. Maru? Asked Diana once again closing the gap.

He should be on the bridge overseeing the docking procedures with the starship Cronus. Said David moving farther away from Diana. He won’t be available for another two hours, until we are docked and the girls are moved.

I’m not waiting two hours! Said Diana storming off with David’s data device.

What is the meaning of this? Miss your not allowed on the bridge! Your not cleared for entry! Called a security guard trying to stop Diana from entering the bridge.

Really, I’m not allowed on the bridge then why did my ID card clear me for the bridge? Said Diana with a smile before walking onto the bridge. Dr. Maru, what is the meaning of this?!

Diana, what are you doing on the bridge during docking procedures? Said Dr. Maru quickly turning around only to see a very angry Diana holding a data device. Diana I know your upset but now is not the time to discuss it. Please return to the medical floor.

Know this Dr. Maru, we will be discussing this in great length after we dock! Said Diana storming off of the bridge.

What was that all about, Dr. Maru? Asked captain Holt watching Diana leave the bridge. She’s a feisty one, isn’t she.

You have no idea captain, no idea at all! Said Dr. Maru returning to a control panel. Captain please return to the docking procedures.

Attention passengers we are now fully docked with the starship Cronus. Boarding procedures will now begin with the medical floor. Chimed the captains voice over the intercom system.

Dr. Maru all the girls have been transported to the Cronus successfully. They are now being prepped for cryostasis as we speak! On another note Diana created a program within the nanites! Said David trying to make heads of Diana’s program. I’m not sure what she did!

More likely or not she accessed the planetary messages and found out that we’re going to be headed into a war zone! Said Dr. Maru taking the data device away from David. Aw, I see what she did! She made it so if one girl died the other girls would receive her memories through the shared link of the nanites. Diana’s just like her father! Truly to smart for her own good!

Dr. Maru?! Said David confused.

Nothing David, carry on with your work! Said Dr. Maru handing David back the data device. If you see Dr. Coleman send her to me, we have a lot to discuss!

Yes, Dr. Maru! Said David walking down the narrow corridor.

After crossing over to the Cronus with the medical supplies David ran straight into Dianna. I’m sorry Diana I didn’t intend to walk straight into you! I was careless and wasn’t watching where I was going…..

David, it’s alright! I wasn’t paying attention ether. Said Diana patting David on the shoulder. Now where is Dr. Maru?

He should be in the cryostasis room! Said David handing Diana his data devise. You need to read this!

What is this, David? Said Diana taking and looking at the data devise. David? David, where did he go? What is this?

CHAPTER 1

It begins

Come one, come all and test your strength!!!!! yells a skinny man standing on a bolder, in front of the royal grave yard.

Who will be able to stand the power of the Holy Avenger! He continues to yell at passers by. Some say the chosen one will be able to hear the soul of the sword. Yet others say the sheer power of the sword will drive you mad!

This strange mans rantings have managed to capture the attention of a large number of people. With this he smiles and continues to speak. No man has ever, ever been able to wield this sword since the passing of the great warrior King Ravengale. The great king had his Mystic Guardian Renata, create a magical barrier around his grave in which his sword would suspend directly over his grave, for all of eternity! Or until someone preferably a brave strong knight that could take the sword and wield it’s mighty power. Who among you travelers wishes to be the next great leader of our land! It doesn’t matter if your a man or a woman! Test your strength and courage enter the barrier and take hold of the sword. Let’s see who’s strong enough, no who’s brave enough to become our next great warrior king or queen!? I dare ya!

Ternon, you should try what that thin man says! cries out a small voice in his ear.

No Aeris, it might be a trap or have some sort of catch to it like paying money. Then again it could just be an elaborate scam that all the highway merchants do! Remember the guy that tried to steal you?! said Ternon, slightly annoyed.

Ternon, please for me! Take this skinny mans challenge, you’ll wield the sword for sure! You’re strong and brave! pleads Aeris in his ear with a surprising kiss on the cheek.

Alright Aeris, I’ll participate in the challenge but only because you asked! says Ternon walking up to the skinny man.

Well this looks promising we have several strong warriors looking to control the power of the holy avenger. yells the skinny man attracting the attention of even more travelers. Who shall be the first to enter the graveyard to challenge the barrier and gain the sword?!

Quickly stepping forward a young man speaks loudly. I, Toma the blacksmith will gladly take that sword from the barrier and add it to my collection of rare swords!

That boy is all too confident don’t you think, Ternon?! asks Aeris softly as not to attract attention from others.

Well then young blacksmith test your self and wield the Holy Avenger! says the skinny man pointing into the graveyard, at the floating sword. Good luck to you boy!

As the crowd gather along with the other challengers against an old rusted gate, watching the blacksmith walk though the graveyard. Then suddenly he charges for the sword. Only to bounce off of the barrier and fall flat to his back! As the crowd laughs the young blacksmith gets up and try’s again, only resulting in the same thing. Only after exhausting his energy does the young man come back to the crowd of people.

You have to have it rigged somehow! I wasn’t even able to get past the barrier! yells the young blacksmith.

Sorry young blacksmith, Toma, but I have nothing to do with that barrier. After all it is an ancient barrier, that is still quite strong. So now that you know what your up against, who’s willing to go next! says the skinny man enthusiastically.

Seeing what had happened to the blacksmith did not detour anyone from trying their luck with the barrier. As the gathered crowd grew even bigger it attracted knights, guards and even passing royalty. As the crowd watched challenger after challenger no one managed to break through the barrier, many began to lose hope. Suddenly with out warning the majestic Lord Drano ordered his High Wizard and General Elena to take charge. In order to get him that sword. Many protested and yet the skinny man only said, Let this fearless lady take on the challenge! But if she succeeds then only she will be able to wield the sword, not you Lord Drano!

I will take on the challenge and take down that barrier once and for all! Declared Elena with a smile as she walked calmly into the graveyard, to the barrier.

As expected her first attempt resulted with her falling flat on her ass. She had mistaken that her status as a High Wizard would allow her to pass freely through the barrier. Getting to her feet Elena looked considerably annoyed. Suddenly with a rush of wind and a flick of her hand Elena released a powerful spell upon the barrier causing a flicker with in the barrier it’s self showing everyone the true size of the dome like barrier. It was only visible for a second, but this made Elena very happy for some reason.

As the crowd watched to see what Elena was going to do next the skinny man suddenly turned around and said, Aww if it isn’t our Mystic Guardian of the fire crystal! What brings my lady all the way out to the royal graveyard?

These are troubling times Yuri! she says with a sigh. What are you up to with this gathering mass of people?

Tell her Ternon, make your self known to her. She could be a powerful supporter for your cause! says Aeris as softly as possible.

With all do respect my lady, travelers are challenging the ancient barrier in oder to obtain the great sword! says Ternon with a slight bow.

Then I wish you the best of luck young knight! Yuri I’ll speak to you of this matter at a latter time for I am needed elsewhere! with a nod of the head the Mystic Guardian was off on her way.

That didn’t go quite like I expected Ternon but you did get her attention! says Aeris softly.

Turning back to watch Elena you find that she’s on her ass again but this time it’s different she seems to be meditating, no she’s chanting. She is gathering energy to cast a large spell. As Elena rises the crowd takes an unconscious step back. Then suddenly with a flash of light Elena was sent back flying through the air from the power of her own spell. As the crowd laughs Ternon rushes past the crowd into the graveyard to where Elena had landed.

Is she alive Ternon? Asked Aeris somewhat concerned.

Yes Aeris she’s alive but burned by her own spell she needs a doctor! says Ternon lifting the seemingly life less body of Elena into his arms. Turning to leave the graveyard with Elena’s’ unconscious body in arms the crowd stands silent. As people part to make room, Lord Drano rides up and gathers Elena from Ternons’ arms.

She needs a doctor! says Ternon averting his eyes trying not to be recognized.

Thank you for that young man but that will not be needed I have a healer on staff, she will be taken care off! said the lord while turning his horse, then suddenly riding off in a full gallop.

Well then now that all the excitement is over, who will be our next challenger! Maybe you young man? said the skinny man pointing at Ternon.

It’s your turn Ternon, go for it, show them your worth! said Aeris excitedly yet quietly.

I, Ternon of Avalon will accept your challenge, Yuri. he said with a slight bow. Turning from the skinny man Yuri towards the graveyard. As Ternon begins to walk towards the graveyard the crowd parted in two before him. Suddenly Ternon stops and turns around.

The mystic guardian knows you, does she trust you too?! asked Ternon with one eyebrow raised.

"Yes, I know the mystic guardian! No, she doesn’t
