A Journey to the Doorway in the Center of the Earth

Gregg Tuskins works for the Smithsonian Institute for the National Museum of America when he discovers this very old artifact from the late 1800sa very old book with detailed information about some strange and weird doorway inside an old abandoned mine shaftbut the map is so old that they have to figure where the location of this place is.

One of the places it mentions about is the Muddy Mountains up in the state of Wyoming nearby Rawlins, Wyoming, but Pete Ashcraft hires Vincent Doreance as he is trying to stop Gregg Tuskins from discovering this old doorway as Vincent Doreance has murdered people that have been getting too close in trying to find this old abandoned mine shaft. Some of the weird and strange things started back when the mine shaft was discovered back in the late 1800s. This also probably caused the death of a miner that caused the shaft to become abandoned until now.

The Slaughter House Gulch Ghost has been haunting the trail that the miners once used to travel back and forth from their camp to the mine shaft, and they end up discovering this doorway deep inside this old abandoned mine shaft that was closed down around one hundred years ago as this doorway is strange and weird looking as it doesnt look like it was created by earthlings as it has green tint in different areas on this doorway as the dark transparent is too dark to see through.

The mysterious doorway has held secrets of an ancient alien race for over one hundred years as they expedition is about to discover what lies behind the green door.

Chapter One

J ames Kerryton was chatting to this old man about some old artifacts and old maps of an old tunnel in the Rocky Mountains just north of Denver, Colorado about 100 miles. As the old man was telling him that this tunnel they dug up over a hundred years ago has been shut down due to some weird and creepy things happening deep down inside this tunnel.

And James Kerryton asked as he was sipping on a glass of Highland Tasgail as he really enjoyed the Scottish brand of Cold Mountain Winter Ale at the bar; like what kind of weird or creepy things do you mean Mister? The old man responded as he looked at this young blonde fellow blowing the froth from the top of his Cold Mountain Ale that looked like he was in his middle 30’s; as all I know is that I heard about some weird doorway deep down near the center of the Earth with a strange bluish-green light over the opening as you can see right through it as I heard stories about this place. The old man contacted him the other day and this was the first conversation they were having as the old man was looking for an guide and someone that knew the Rocky Mountains area, but these strange tales about this doorway and the possibility that it could be some kind of energy field made James Kerryton wonder?

The old man spoke up; I’ll offer you $20,000.00 to help me put together a team and try to locate this place on this old map that had its wear and tear for being so old that was from the 1800 hundreds, as he slowly opened the map so it wouldn’t tear to show him. The place he was pointing at was just about ten miles south-east of the Muddy Mountains up in the state of Wyoming as he doesn’t ever recall a cave or even a mineshaft or any kind of tunnel up in that area that he was pointing at on this old map.

James Kerryton told the old man as he was still holding his Highland Tasgail Cold Mountain Winter Ale in his right hand; I don’t ever recall any caves or tunnels in that area? The old man explained to him as James Kerryton took another drink of this great tasting Cold Mountain Winter Ale; back in the 1800’s they covered the entrance, but this artifact will help us pinpoint the location where this so called tunnel or old mine shaft is located? And James Kerryton asked; what does it say on the artifact? The old man pulled open this artifact that was some old ledger or diary that somebody wrote down in the 1800’s as it stated where Lake Creek intersects with the north river as this old abandoned mine shaft is about 22 miles north-northwest and is about 10 miles southeast from Muddy Mountains. James Kerryton got out his map and cross examined the coordinates from the two reference points and it was somewhere just northwest of the US First Service Road 548.

James Kerryton decided to take the old man’s offer of the $20,000.00 as he spoke up after he finished washing down the rest of his ale you got yourself a deal old man. The old chap was grinning from ear to ear as some of his teeth were missing as he spoke up: well first of all call me Gregg Tuskins as I am not that old as I haven’t even cracked 50 yet. James Kerryton couldn’t help laughing with a smile on his face as he responded back to him; well then you are starting to look older than your age is telling me as it must be that heavy white-greyish beard and the crinkly old skin of yours. And James Kerryton continued; and the kids would just love you around Christmas time and the old man under 50 snarled back at James Kerryton; enough of the old man crap and lets head on up to the area in Wyoming, alright James., As both of them stood up from the stools at the bar at Mike O’Shay’s Restaurant and Ale House in Longmont, Colorado as James Kerryton spoke up; will use the vehicle that I brought up here Gregg, and he responded as the two were walking towards the cashier to pay the bill; good as I need to make a few phone calls James and so you can drive the vehicle up to Casper, Wyoming okay. And James Kerryton spoke up when they reached the counter; so who’s paying the bill? And the old man starred back at him as he still looked like Santa Clause fumbling with both of his hands in his pockets as he mentioned; you’re the money spender my boy as I am sure you can handle the bill?

James Kerry could see this could get a bit costly, and hope this old man was right about the old abandon mine shaft that was shut down in the 1800’s as he reached into his back pocket for his wallet. As the young brunette over heard the conversation as she picked up the bill and punched in the amount on the register as the young woman told them; that will be $6.85 please. The old man starred at her before he spoke up; the cost of living must’ve gone up just lately as I am sure a month or two ago it was no more than around $5.00.

James Kerryton could tell that Gregg could be trouble at times and quickly handed the young brunette a ten dollar bill as he told her; keep the change and don’t worry about my buddy here as he is just doing some data on the cost on the increase in expenses now a days? She frowned as she couldn’t help herself to chuckle as she responded as they were leaving Mike O’Shay’s Restaurant and Ale House; when you come back we will serve you one of our fine Ale’s that I hear about that my boss wants to raise the price on sir. The old man stopped in his tracks before he went out the door to the restaurant and asked her; can I get a bottle to go and just put it on my tab okay, and James Kerryton said to Gregg Tuskins; you don’t need any more Gregg as you’ll scare off the kids for the party coming up soon? As the old chap looked very confused as he grumbled; what kids and who’s the party are we going too? James Kerryton responded as they were both outside of the establishment heading for his car; never mind will visit the kids later on as you still have those phone calls to make?

The old man spoke up as they approached a blue 2010 Mustang; yes you’re right I do have some calls to make James and tell the kids the party has been postponed until further noticed.

Chapter Two

G regg Tuskins started to make the calls on his cell phone once he got seated into the passenger seat of the blue 2010 Mustang as the seats in James Kerryton’s vehicle were a dark navy blue as the seats lost some of their discolor from the sun light beating down on the seats as he made his first call on the list was Debra Patterisky. As he started dialing the phone numbers when James Kerryton was settled into the driver’s seat as he was sticking the keys into the ignition of the car as he heard Gregg’s cell phone ringing and Gregg Tuskins picked up the receiver to his right ear, as he could hear a woman’s voice as he heard the word; hello. Gregg Tuskins responded as James Kerryton shifted the gears on the blue 2010 Mustang into drive as he pulled the vehicle away from the curb as James Kerryton made sure not to hit this tan colored Buick Skylark that was parked in front of them, once he got his car around the vehicle they were on their way up to Casper, Wyoming; hello Debra did you find out anything about that old mine shaft that was left abandoned in the 1800’s?

Debra Patterisky spoke back to him; yes as there is a lot of activity of odd occurrences happening Gregg? Now Gregg Tuskins knew that a possibility that someone or somebody might be looking for the same thing up in the Muddy Mountains as he asked her as he was staring out the passenger window at some clouds rolling by; what kind of odd or strange events are we talking about Debra?

She told him over the phone with a low voice; somebody has been asking too many questions up here Gregg about this old mine shaft, but the odd thing is this person that was asking the questions up here seemed to vanish?

So Gregg Tuskins spoke up; so you’re telling me that we might have some unknown party that is attempting to keep us from locating this old mine shaft Debra? Debra Patterisky quickly responded back; yes Gregg, and he told her; stay up there in Casper, Wyoming as me and James Kerryton will be up there in about two hours. Debra Patterisky urgently said; no stay away from Casper, Wyoming Gregg as I’ll meet you at that one restaurant you took me to last year for my 34th birthday, do you remember the place you took me to in the state of Wyoming, Gregg? Gregg Tuskins replied as the vehicle was heading up on the ramp to take interstate highway 25 to Casper, Wyoming; yes indeed I do recall the restaurant that I took you for your 34th birthday Debra.

Well the plans had got changed as the agreement now was set instead to meet at this restaurant as somebody’s is getting into their business or is trying to hush them up, as they both said there goodbyes and hung up the phone.

Gregg Tuskins spoke up and told James Kerryton as he was looking directly at him; change of plans James as we are not going to Casper, Wyoming as we have a problem? James Kerryton was trying to concentrate on his driving and asked; what kind of problem are we talking Gregg?

Gregg Tuskins told him as he looked a bit nervous; I just received a call from Debra about someone that has been helping me on the location of this old mine shaft, but according to what she just told me James someone or somebody is possibly taking people out that are trying to locate this old mine?

As James Kerryton continued to drive his blue 2010 Mustang he asked Gregg Tuskins; so where are we heading to may I ask if it is not Casper, Wyoming?

And Gregg Tuskins told him as he reached into a black bag for some gum to chew on; we need to head over to Riverton, Wyoming. As he drove up interstate highway 25 his response back to Gregg Tuskins; where the heck is that at Gregg? And he continued as he drove his blue 2010 Mustang heading northbound; so what the heck is going on with this so called place they found back in the 1800’s Gregg that sounds like everybody wants to find this old mine shaft?

As he was chewing on the gum in his mouth and answered the best that he could about this doorway; there are some people that believe that this doorway could possibly be a traveling devise, and why somebody wants to keep it from out of the public’s point of view. As he took a quick breath before speaking again; as some believe it could lead to a more advanced alien technology and we believe the people that are trying to stop us James could be from some kind of organization that doesn’t want us making those kind of advancements, because they think it could harm the Earth as we know it? And he continued; that’s why we are heading to Riverton, Wyoming to meet Debra Patterisky and once we get up there the faster the quicker James. When they left from Mike O’Shay’s Restaurant and Ale House it was after 3 pm in the afternoon as they have been driving over an hour northbound. As James Kerryton asked Gregg Tuskins as they saw a sign along the side of the interstate highway 25 welcome to Wyoming; so which way to Riverton, Wyoming Gregg?

Gregg Tuskins replied as his hands were resting upon his knees as he brought his right hand up near his bushy white grey beard that looked like it could use a trim that James Kerryton was teasing him back a Mike O’Shay’s Restaurant and Ale House; when we reach Cheyenne, Wyoming we need to jump on interstate highway 80, and take it westbound until we intersect with U.S. Highway 287.

In about forty minutes they were entering the city limits of Cheyenne, Wyoming as James Kerryton took the ramp that had a sign above stating interstate highway 80 as he was going through the late rush hour traffic as people were getting off work, as the highway eventually cleared as they were leaving town and where now on their way as he asked; how long until we reach U.S Highway 287 Gregg? As they drove into the outskirts of Cheyenne, Wyoming James Kerryton noticed the gauge on the gas tank running low as he advised Gregg Tuskins about the issue as they drove up to an underpass on interstate highway 80; keep an eye out for a gas station Gregg.

Gregg Tuskins responded as he answered both questions as he brought down the passenger window as his right palm of his hand was holding the gum he was chewing on for over an hour and tossed the gum out the window; okay as I’ll keep a watch out for a gas station, and it’s about an two hour drive or so to catch U.S. Highway 287 James? And once he was done pitching the old gum out the window that was losing its flavor, he bent over towards the right after he rolled the passenger window back up as the seat belt was sort of tight keeping him in place, but he could see the little marker nearing closer to empty on the gas tank. And it was nearly on empty as James Kerryton drove for miles westbound on interstate highway 80, and then Gregg Tuskins noticed a sign along the side of the road indicating a gas station up ahead.

As he quickly tapped James Kerryton with his left hand to point out that they were coming up to a gas station as James Kerryton breathed a relief of fresh air and hoped that the gas tank wouldn’t hit empty? Finally they could see the oncoming sign for Buford Trading Post and the little islands were the gas tanks are as he pulled his blue 2010 Mustang up to number 5, as James Kerryton shut off the engine before he got out of the car. A moment after the ignition went off Gregg Tuskins cell phone rang as he was planning on getting out of the vehicle when he released the seat belt that has been keeping him tied down since they left from Longmont, Colorado, not only to stretch out his legs and arms, but to use the bathroom as he finally reached into his right pocket to retrieve the phone call with his right hand as he answered after so many rings; hello?

He recognized the voice as it was Debra Patterisky calling him back; how close are you getting to Riverton, Wyoming Gregg?

He told her as James Kerryton was heading in to order how many gallons of gasoline for his vehicle; hold on Debra let me reach for the map that James has in his car to find out where we are at okay? Debra Patterisky waited patiently on the phone until he returned with a reply on their location and then his voice came through the ear piece; Debra we’re about two hours away from Riverton, Wyoming. She said as she held the cell phone up to her left ear; okay see you in about two hours from now as I am heading out to the place where we met for my 34th birthday Gregg. Gregg Tuskins was hanging up his phone when James Kerryton was walking out of Buford Trading Post as he was heading for the gas pumps to fill up his car at island 5, as he stuck his cell phone back into his right pocket. Gregg Tuskins told James Kerryton as he was still leaning over the hood of the blue 2010 Mustang; I’ll be right back as I need to use the bathroom real quick okay James.

James Kerryton responded as he lifted the hose nozzle from off of the gas pump with his right hand as his left hand opened the cap that had a chain on it so it wouldn’t go anywhere; go do what you need to as I am heading back into the store as my stomach is rumbling and do you want anything to munch on Gregg?

Gregg Tuskins spoke up as he stood up away from the hood of the car; just get me a Pepsi and some chips to munch on James. As he was squeezing the handle for the nozzle to the gas pump James Kerryton said; okay I’ll get you those items when I am finished filling up the tank Gregg. Gregg Tuskins gave a wave with his right hand to indicate that he was going for the bathroom and headed for the store. As he let a young twenty year-old something brunette woman drive her red vehicle by before he made his move across the lot, and for a place in the middle of nowhere it seemed to be a busy place.

Gregg Tuskins finally made it over to the doorway as he reached for the door with his right hand and once he opened the door Gregg Tuskins found out that James Kerryton was behind him. James Kerryton held the door open as Gregg Tuskins entered the store as Gregg Tuskins went up to the counter to see about getting the key for the restroom as James Kerryton went shopping for the items. As James Kerryton was looking around the store he was thinking about the fella that Gregg Tuskins mentioned about that disappeared that was searching for this old mine shaft? But soon some of this mystery person would be answered when they reached Riverton, Wyoming, as he saw a box of Hostess Twinkies as he was coming around to the chip isle.

Gregg Tuskins walked out the entrance door as he went to use the toilet in the bathroom and he noticed this grey Honda parked way over in the corner with two men sitting inside the vehicle, but he continued his way to the restroom.

He stuck the key into the lock as Gregg Tuskins proceeded in unlocking the white metal door as it creaked when he opened the men’s room door as the hinges sounded like
