About this ebook

The book addresses the concerted actions that the U.S. government and responsible citizens must take to resolve the current major recurring social, economic, political, and environmental problems and issues to save the nation from self-induced destruction. These problems and issues also make the nation vulnerable to hostile external threats, such as international terrorism and attacks against U.S. interests by adversarial nations. Former President Abraham Lincoln said, America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves. The current social, economic, and political situation and the negative attitudes manifested by many Americans could cause us to falter and suffer self-induced destruction.
The publication highlights how the execution of the democratic process in accordance with the provisions of the U.S. Constitution; restoration the tradition family unit and national core values; embracing inherent duties and responsibilities; eradication of social, economic, and political injustices; and learning to live in harmony with mankind and nature can help eradicate major problems plaguing the United States today and ensure that this government of the people, by the people, for the people shall not perish from the earth.

    About The Author

I dedicate this book to the members of my family circle who provided me with the wisdom and understanding to appreciate and adhere to the values of a democratic society; then to my best friend, Loretta, who taught the value of a true friend through constant demonstration. Next, to all Americans, living and dead, who have dedicated their lives to secure and preserve this nation as the land of the free and home of the brave. Finally, to the youths of America for their contributions in this monumental and noble task. They are the future of the United States of America. To Them, I Say, Thank you, God bless you, and keep on pushing.

We here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain; that this nation shall have a new birth of freedom; and that this government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.

    —Abraham Lincoln

    PREFACE

The book addresses the concerted actions required of the U.S. government and responsible citizens to ensure that the United States continues to survive as a free nation and fulfills the goals and objectives of the U.S Constitution. While the United States is currently recognized globally as the strongest nation on earth, history revealed that many great nations were destroyed by internal conflict of strife or external adversarial forces. Abraham Lincoln said, America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves. The current social, economic, political and situation and the negative attitudes manifested by many Americans could cause us to falter; therefore, we should heed Mr. Lincoln’s words of wisdom or join the list of fallen nations.

The primary purpose of the book is to highlight prevailing deficiencies in our social, economic, and political systems that make the United States vulnerable to internal/external destruction and emphasize the need for Americans to unite in a concerted effort to ensure that the United States continues to survive as a free nation and the fruition of the U.S. Constitution. This requires consistent application of basic human values, embracing individual responsibilities, and judicious implementation of the provisions of the U.S. Constitution. Hopefully, the book will motivate readers to actively and vigorously support local, state, and national initiatives to perpetuate the United States of America.

The target audience for this book is all current and prospective U.S. citizens, because everyone living in the United States, regardless of their status, has an impact on the successful perpetuation of the United States of America. However, the primary players are our leaders, elected public officials, public service providers, major industry sector executives, and all eligible voters. These groups have specific duties and responsibilities in shaping the present, future, and destiny of the United States.

There were many resources used in preparing this book. Core sources include online federal agencies reports, personal dictionaries, Yahoo News, daily and special televised news forecasts and journalistic events, and personal experiences and observation. Additionally, real-time current events, breaking news, and many hours of research provided valuable knowledge, insight, and appreciation concerning what is currently wrong with the United States and what responsible Americans need to do to fulfil the goals of the U.S. Constitution and ensure its survival as a free nation.

I do not expect all readers to agree with the content and ideas conveyed in this book. However, I do hope that the information presented therein will serve as a wake-up call for elected public officials, public service providers, major industry sector executives, and the general public coming to the realization that the current state of the union severely threatens the United States survival as a free nation and prompt them to take concerted actions to achieve the goals of the U.S. Constitution and perpetuate the United State of America.

To perpetuate the United States, every eligible citizen must become fully engaged in the democratic process to extricate the United States from the major problems plaguing the nation today. Local, state, and federal governments, in coordination with the private business sector and general citizen population, must objectively examine all major systems, programs, and policies to determine how they contribute toward remediating and resolving current problems and issues. Then efficient and effective changes must be made that are constitutional, sound, and benefit all the people and the country.

The book comprises thirteen chapters. Chapter 1 addresses the importance of restoring the family circle in preserving the United States from extinction. Chapter 2 addresses how renewal of sacred and national covenants, upon which this nation was developed and exist, will help preserve our way of life. Chapter 3 addresses how developing literal American communities throughout the United States of America can help preserve the United States as a free nation. Chapter 4 addresses the importance of working together toward a common goal to preserve the United States of America from extinction. Chapter 5 addresses the necessity of political unification and economic stabilization to preserve the United States as a free nation. Chapter 6 addresses the need to resolve the current major problems and issues to ensure continual economic, social, and political progress. Chapter 7 addresses how executing the democratic process in accordance with the U.S. Constitution will preserve the United States from extinction. Chapter 8 addresses the necessity of each American embracing their individual and collective duties and responsibilities to preserving our way of life. Chapter 9 addresses the importance of manifesting nationwide respect and consideration for others and the principles for which the nation stand in preserving the United States of America from extinction. Chapter 10 addresses the necessity of eradicating all social, economic, and political injustices. Chapter 11 addresses the mental, physical, and medical well-being of American citizens; prosperity for all Americans; and a social and education system that promotes both. Chapter 12 addresses the importance of ensuring international tranquility in perpetuating the United States of America. Chapter 13 reinforces the theme and the basic topics of the book. Appendix A contains definitions of words and terms used in the book, Appendix B provides a list of key references that will increase your understanding of the information addressed in the book, and Appendix C contains famous quotes of wisdom to support each chapter. Some of the topics from a previous chapter may be revisited throughout the book, as applicable, to adequately address the overall objective of the book.

During the period that I have been writing the book, major problems and issues continue to plague the nation. Civil disturbances and wars and terrorism continued to devastate the Middle East, Africa, and other parts of the world. The trouble between Russia and Ukraine has created heightened concern and provocative reactions throughout the free world, which could escalate into World War III. These conditions are compounded by drastic weather changes and disastrous incidents throughout the world. The current conditions at home and abroad merit the attention of every American because they establish a trend that threatens the safety of the people and the security of the nation. These conditions, if not resolved, could cause internal civil unrest or foreign adversarial exploitation and could facilitate the extinction of the United States.

    INTRODUCTION

How of often have you heard concerned Americans exclaim, What is this world coming to, after witnessing a deplorable act against a fellow citizen or society in general? From a more personal perspective, how often have you considered the major problems and issues plaguing the United States today and wonder why our elected representative are unable to resolve problems or what you can do about them? In spite of the social, economic, political, and technological advancements the United States has made during the past two centuries, the country is currently experiencing major problems and issues that are threatening the welfare of the people, national security, and its survival as a free nation.

Technological advancement, the most impressive achievement, has wrought miraculous changes in our daily lives; however, it has also created new problems and issues, especially in the welfare and nation security arenas. Today, technologies critically impact on accomplishing several major objective of the U.S. Constitution, including ensuring domestic tranquility and providing for the common defense. Thus, to resolve the current major problems and issues that could induce self-destruction, every responsible citizen must become concerned, motivated, and fully engaged in the democratic process.

The book addresses how Americans can help eradicate major problems plaguing the United States today, thereby enhancing the quality of life for every American citizen, effectively implementing the provisions of the U.S. Constitution, and ensuring that the United States survives as a free nation.

The book is informative, interesting, and motivating. The book addresses actions that the federal, state, and government and private citizens need to take to resolve the current problems and issues that adversely impact on the stability and survival of the United States and impede the implementation the provision of the U.S. Constitution, thereby saving the nation from self-induced destruction. All of the actions basically require an adjustment in the attitudes of Americans concerning their rights and responsibilities and a dedicated resolution to work together in the best interest of the United States.

For example, the traditional American family has historically been viewed as a major factor contributing to development and survival of the United States as a free country. America’s pioneer families and their descendants carved the United States of America out of a vast wilderness and developed it into a major world power. Today, the traditional family unit is suffering from severe deterioration, with critics questioning its importance and validity. The current rise of youth involvement in criminal activities and other community disturbances is a strong indication that traditional values are very importance in perpetuating the United States.

The strength, success, and survival of our democratic nation are largely based on the commitment and support of its people to the ideas and principles for which it stands. Therefore, covenants and pledges are extremely important in shaping and preserving our way of life, because they confirm and lock-in commitments. Although financial and legal covenants are a way of life in our society, the major covenants impacting our way of life are the ones we have with God and country. These covenants are the primary source of the country’s strength.

Historically, the community has been a major force in shaping our way of life. Today, our community has been severely degenerated by crime, corruption, and lack of unity of effort between neighbors. Decay of the family and traditional moral values and lack of common goals and objectives are the primary contributing factors to our disjointed communities. Today, most American share basic beliefs and values; however, regional and cultural diversity and individual attitudes are preventing the nation’s citizens from working together in a concerted effort to achieve the goals and objectives of the U.S. Constitution.

Effective execution of the democratic process requires every responsible American citizen and perspective citizen to work together toward achieving the goals and objectives of the U.S. Constitution. Each responsible citizen and prospective citizen must willingly and enthusiastically accept or support the respective duties and responsibilities delegated to them by our democratic society and the U.S. Constitution. Mutual respect and consideration is essential for people to live in harmony in any society and ensures domestic tranquility one of the objectives in the U.S. Constitution. Social, economic, and political injustices must also be eradicated. The mental, physical, and medical well-being of citizens and the economic stability of the nation must be energetically promoted, and the social and education system must support both.

While modern technologies and industrial developments have drastically enhanced the welfare of the nation, they have increased the impact of global unrest on domestic tranquility and national security. Thus, to ensure domestic calmness, the United States must promote both domestic and international tranquility to reduce global tension. The U.S. government and citizens must successfully accomplish the actions in this book in accordance with the U.S. Constitution and the principles of a democratic society to realize the American dream and ensure that this Government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.

Please note that the use of American in this book denotes the United States of America, because citizens in other parts of North America, Central America, and South America also consider themselves to be Americans. Responsible Americans refer to citizens of legal age and mental competence to act in his/her own behalf.
