Foreword
When my Dad told me that he was thinking of writing a book, I said that’s a nice idea. I quickly smiled thinking to myself of how it would be filled with his countless one liners
and catch phrases
and witty little sayings that those close to him have come to expect almost like clockwork. I giggled, wondering just how long of a book like that could end up being. Later, as the idea began to sink in, it truly intrigued me. You see, while I as the only son of Leon Daggs Jr., have been an up close and personal beneficiary to his experiences and knowledge, I have known only the view point of a child. Yes, taking my share of direction, advice, criticism and praise….did I mention criticism? But, all the while growing and developing along the way. At 45, now I have become mostly the product that my father has created, a successful, God fearing, hardworking, family oriented, business minded, humble, fun loving grow man that is deeply appreciative for all that I have. A man that is proud and privileged to be the son of Leon, someone my Dad likes to call…The winner of the genetic lottery!
In his own funny way he’s right, He has achieved so much and enhanced so many thru just a chance meeting, that I find myself in awe wondering if it’s even possible for me to ever measure up
to his standards. Many people are in search of greatness in their lives, they look everywhere to find it. Not only have I been given a path to follow, but it was forged by the very person that trains and pushes me every
