About this ebook
As young people, you face challenges on a daily basis, and being able to chat about them with someone who can give you good advice can sometimes be the difference between life and death. It is hard to find trustworthy adults these days who can truly listen without judging you, who truly understand what you are going through, and who can nudge you in the right direction when youre done with it all.
In this book, an older friend or a mentor who knows God, chats with her crew and shares valuable truths about sex, parents, church, and a lot more. As you flip through the pages, you will read chats which are inspired by real life situations and the advice is relevant to both guys and girls.

CHARACTERS
G – the guy or the girl
M – the mentor
Hello!
Many young people have asked me questions about knowing God, walking with God, and moving away from religious stereotypes, and I have tried to capture some of the chats I’ve had in the pages that follow. Some of the information may be new to you, some of it may just be a reminder, and some of it might even be a clarification – an answer to a question in your mind. I only ask that you be open as you read through the pages.
You can pick and choose which chapters you’d like to read first and then proceed to read the rest of the book; you do not have to go in the order it has been published.
Enjoy!
Joy Isa
ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
I thank the Lord God Almighty for inspiring these words after times of worship and prayer. You alone could have done this through me Lord; I owe You my life!
I acknowledge my daughter for reading through the manuscript as it evolved and for ‘giving me her stamp of approval’. Thank you for your support!
To my husband and my son, I say thank you for giving me my space when I needed it! You’re both very precious.
To my sister, for brainstorming the title with me. I say, thank you for your help.
I thank my publishers for a thorough job.
I acknowledge the use of all emoji, provided free by EmojiOne.
I thank my pastors and leaders, who are too many to name, but who are all deeply loved and appreciated. I thank God for those whose books and videos have helped me grow in this journey of faith – several I will only meet in heaven and, there, say a big thank you in person.
I thank my mentors who were there for me at different seasons in my life: Fred Williams, Tella Iyiola, and Helen Falope. God bless you richly!
CHAPTER ONE
All the ladies in the house!
5:00 p.m. Saturday.
M: Hey!
G: ’Sup?
M: How did it go?
G: That was the last time I’m going to that salon! My hair is a mess!
M: Goodness! How bad?
G: My weave looks terrible.
M: That bad?
G: And the red carpet closes at six! That’s the whole point of accepting the invite.
M: 36255.png 36253.png …processing…
G: I can’t not turn up – everyone has to be there!
