Richie Singh Smartt
Richie is now ten years of age and is very special to many children and adults. He was named the number one Bollywood model by the media, and he runs one of the biggest children’s charities in Kent for terminally ill children and special needs children called Free Spirit, which he started to support at the age of three as the face and funding. It can be found under the name of Richie Richer Productions on Google. Richie stopped talking when he was two after witnessing the violent rape of his mother. It was then said by the authorities that he would never talk again, and he suffered from sleepwalking and nightmares for many years whilst being under special care for his speech. He would draw lots of pictures all the time of people, animals, and spaceships in all forms, and he would just wander off into space to a world that was his own, a world of fantasy to blanket his pain and suffering. He then began to write and write, and as his writing became more intense, his speech started to return and his confidence grew from strength to strength—and then his maths, just like a little professor. Then one day he said, “Mum, I’ve wrote a sci-fi horror book,” and the story began of a little boy who was once told he would never speak again, a special little boy called Richie Benjamin Singh Smartt, as he takes you through a journey that can only have been created by a genius.

IN CLOSING
MY OVERAL VIEW
Its gob smacking. I can not believe that my 11yr old son has written a book of such quality of creativity and imagination. Richie you described each and every event, place, person and scene with such intensity and fullness, that one is instantly drawn into the science fiction horror it portrays and leads you in.
Your amazing a genius of the world of science fiction horror and I am very proud to say with my hand on my heart that you have become this astonishing young man that will make so many people admire your inner thoughts, creativity and ingenuity.
You are a mystery of a genius that has something extraordinary, unorthodox and almost spooky but an interesting and intriguing personality of the mind.
I predict and visualise your books the success of the film industry, claiming awards as the number one graphic sci-fi horrors.
MY DEEPEST THOUGHTS
I am so excited, proud and honoured to be the mother of not only such a genius, but a young man who has gone through so many trials and tribulations, close to death and suffering mutisium for many years at such a young age, who has excelled above and beyond the imagination and expectation of many who predicted far less, however you knew that was only but
What they believed and perdicted.
Richie you hold such strength and power and are such an inspiration to so many young children and adults, and that includes me, you make me so very proud.
Love you
Mummy
Introduction
Hi to my dearest fans. I’m back. Well, how shall I begin? I must first thank all my fans for buying my book The Happening: Fallen City of Dark Skies and making me popular with the girls.
Just when you thought it couldn’t get worse – you likely imagined that things had reached their limits – the Black Sunflower takes you through the most multilayered journey of sci-fi horror to yet another level of intensity and the peak of graphic imagination. As we leave behind in The Happening: Fallen City of Dark Skies, the evil death of Mr Wilson, Finley, the scientist, begins the journey mapping out his victims to conquer all.
Richie’s quotes from the Sun newspaper, 31 March 2015
I know it’s weird that I didn’t
remember the attack, but I can still
feel the fear that kept me silent.
I believe it was wanting to express myself
that helped me find my voice, and I hope
what I’ve achieved and the way I’ve grown
in confidence can inspire other children.
CHAPTER 1
The convict makes a deal
It was several years after Mr Wilson and his organisation were taken down, and chiming countless hours shattered into the captive air. The scientist sat inside his cell, the walls crumbling like the flesh of hell. His eyes plunged into an ocean of darkness. A bombarded pile of newspapers resting in the corner contained the dark lies. His lips were cold and grey like an ancient tomb.
Footsteps made their way to his cell, two shadows stretching across the walls and hunching over his demented body. He leapt off the ground and pierced his eye through the gap of the bars. The bars automatically opened as two humanized cats stood wearing submarine suits. Follow us in the name of the law.
They dragged him through the corridors. He was dragged into a commodious room, which was flooded with a milky white colour.
A pleasure to meet you, Mr Johnson,
said a shrewd voice.
Finley’s head twitched as quickly as the swipe of a serrated blade. He saw a firm man who wore a sumptuous tuxedo; his head was a computer. He looked so handsome that it was as if the miracles of nature were all crammed into his body. He had rested his arms on his systematic desk as he rolled out his hand towards the vacant chair that stood lonesome in the spacious room.
Come and sit down. Make yourself comfortable while you’re here.
Finley reluctantly sat on the chair, which suffocated feebly under his bottom.
You do know why you’re here?
asked the man.
Where’s Peter Falcon?
asked Finley, his lips pursed and fury showering from his eyes.
He’s in planet District Seven. He is now ninety-nine years old and has a son called Sebastian.
Sebastian?
Never mind about that species now. Let’s get to the point. District Nine is in the time of electing their second ruler. You were on the list of a chance for being elected.
What? Why me?
You see, you have been producing dark behaviour. Since you were sentenced, you have killed and beaten half of our prisoners. They needed protection from new evil species that were leashed in other worlds and could easily come in contact with one of our districts. They elected you because they said that they needed a dark convict to unleash his dark power onto unwanted species and you were the one.
Finley smiled and shuffled his chair forward as tensions deepened in the chiming hours. If it means Sebastian’s heart put on a plate, I will accept,
said Finley.
The man shook his hand. Agreed.
CHAPTER 2
Laws and refuses
A capacious hospital stood on a ball of grass floating in the midst of space. The programmer was lying in his bed as a metal cap was plugged into his brain, with wires connected to a machine which restored energy into his brain, using electricity from different planets with districts. He watched the news on television, the control melting in his hand.
Hi, I’m Lenny Clawford with some news that will flabbergast each species in the districts. Convicted murderer Finley Johnson was released from his cell. As all of us may recall, Finley Johnson fought his way to the top of a secret brainwashing organisation only to discover he secretly murdered one of his recruits’ fathers in cold blood in a desert. He was elected to be the second president of District Nine.
The programmer’s eyes were smoked with venomous instinct, his lips pursed, and his heart raging like a craving carnivore. He tore his body from the wires that were plugged in and staggered to his feet. A doctor slipped into his room quickly. Sir, you need to get back on your bed. Your brain has only a tiny amount of power. You could die.
Peter and his son, Sebastian, were walking in the desert where Peter’s father was murdered. They stopped at a wet patch containing a pool of flowers.
Bad memories, huh?
said Sebastian.
Just fetch me my bloody keys.
Sebastian dropped the key into his hand, and Peter unlocked the caravan, its flesh crumbling into the forsaken sand. They entered the caravan which his dad owned, its smell like the dead remains of the Titanic. Peter sat on a small bed, his son standing in front of him.
This place makes me sick to my old staggering bones. Every time I come here, I can imagine that scientist standing in the kitchen, his body drenched in my father’s guts. I hope his body rots in his cell and hope he never escapes from his grave.
Sebastian frowned in complete confusion. What happened to your father?
Never you mind that. You’re too young to know what I’ve been through. I can’t push negativity on you.
In the distance of the scorching lands, they heard a breath of an engine seeping into their ears.
Quick, hide in one of the bedrooms and lock the door. I don’t want you to see this.
But, Dad, I’m thirty years old.
I said go.
Sebastian hurried into one of the enfeebled bedrooms that leaked air into its ancient lungs. Peter staggered out of the caravan and pulled out a long barbed blade that glistened in the evening sky. He lifted his head to face the sky and saw a little spaceship landing on an ocean of derelict sand. A soldier wore a white suit and a little white pyramid on his head. He brought out a black slave (in the name of the law in the futuristic period, they got slaves back to build walls to protect them from threats).
He pushed him onto the surface sand that was sprinkling in the invincible air and pulled out an immense sword like all of our universes combined. Peter charged and galloped to the scene like a raging horse. He pushed the soldier to the ground as the soldier’s thigh plunged into a barbed stick. The soldier screamed moans of unbearable agony as blood splashed out of the wound. The slave was awash with blood, his wimpy lips trembling in the rushing air. Go – be free,
said Peter. The slave raced away hurriedly, the slashes on his leg visible. Silent moans seeped through the soldier’s lips as he wrapped his hands around the bloody stick that protruded through his thigh.
Please … just … don’t kill me, OK? I will do anything.
Then when he was about to raise his blade, his body stood still like a prestigious monument. Then his heart whistled a silent tune for the last time and crumbled into darkness. He collapsed to the surface, sand showering over his entire body, his blade buried in the sand.
Sebastian ran outside only to discover the shocking and upsetting reality that poisoned his heart. Father! Father!
When Sebastian knelt down to his body, he soon discovered the truth. His father was dead.
TWO MONTHS LATER
Sebastian was at work sitting at his desk, his head in his hands. Another employee was leaning on his chair, reading Mega Daily as he stared at the model on page 3. When he unleashed his head from his hands, he found himself sitting alone at his desk, everything blank. Then something happened that outsmarted reality: he discovered a switch plugged into the side of his head. Without hesitation or nagging thought, he switched the switch. Then a switch that gave a new sense of thinking to the brain turned the universe around him to virtual. He suddenly awoke.
Meanwhile, the battlefield breathed the ruins and dead souls through its decaying lungs. Two guards searched the field for survivors, as it was overflowing with deceased creatures that suffocated the air with its unbearable hideous bones and crispy skulls. The scene was upsetting and distressing, making ones bones and heart puke. The war continued for
